Hey guys! Got some good news for you.
[Cal smiles as he turns the communicator's camera about to show the Replicator sitting on a worktable within the salvage shop. BD-1 stands on top of it, poking a foot at the light indicators.]
Finally got this thing fixed. It's running apart from the main power grid though, so the output might not be as much as it was before, but it's working now. I can have this thing moved back to the um... "Whale Comb Sent Her" unless anyone has any suggestions for somewhere else.

Also BD says he's insulted that you think he's only worth a down payment.

"It's not that far from the city center. Not my fault you decided to hole up way on the other end of the city." He felt the need to point it out, though he wore a smirk as he set another part down so he could turn to give Tony his full attention.
"So what's all this?" He noted the arm and could sense the man's exhaustion, but he remembered how fussing over health issues had gone back at the lake. Instead he pulled over a nearby stool with a brief gesture, letting it settle near enough to Tony as an invitation if he wanted to sit- not at all because he looked about to collapse.

His thing first. His thing should have been weeks ago, and would have saved Tony the extra work this painful period had brought upon him. "Full disclosure," he started, "this might be bullshit." Sundance seemed like a straight shooter, but Tony would not be surprised if this was Cayde's version of a very drawn out prank. "But I believe what I have for you is some kind of teleporter. I've got schematics, but it needs a new power system."

"A teleporter?" he echoed, brows arching. "How's it supposed to work?" Because wouldn't you know it, they had no such tech back home. He'd get back to power systems but he needed a better idea of the expected output.

The padawan started to nod as he pictured what Tony was getting at. "So rather than make something from scratch, we're just moving it between places at a supposedly more manageable size?" He sounded a little dubious even as he said it, eyeing Tony to make sure he'd gotten the right idea. But Tony had said he had schematics, so that would already solve a lot of the problem.
"Definitely sounds like something that'll require a steady power system. How far are we going with this thing? And how big a thing are we aiming to transport?"

"We'll probably need two separate power systems then. One on the sending end and the other on the receiving. I'm sure we'll be able to work something out. Just gotta sit and hash things out, have a look at those schematics." A shrug. "Unless you wanted to do that now."
tony wants to, I do not, don't make me science
nah totally with you there
His attention shifted from the parts to Tony again. "Well, they're not much on their own. I'm going to need a good housing for them- but what's this about Echo and broken armor?" He hadn't been aware of that, and the trooper hadn't said anything. Then again, they'd had other things to discuss that took up much of the focus.
