Hey guys! Got some good news for you.

[Cal smiles as he turns the communicator's camera about to show the Replicator sitting on a worktable within the salvage shop. BD-1 stands on top of it, poking a foot at the light indicators.]

Finally got this thing fixed. It's running apart from the main power grid though, so the output might not be as much as it was before, but it's working now. I can have this thing moved back to the um... "Whale Comb Sent Her" unless anyone has any suggestions for somewhere else.

By the way, how did your meeting with Mr. Kenobi go?

Went all right. Thanks for feeling him out for me. And for breaking the ice with Echo too. You've...really been looking out for me, and I just want to let you know I appreciate that.

Kenobi's from much earlier than me, five years. Right after the Purge. It's...it's been good being able to connect with someone who knows, you know?

[ Cal, of course he's looking out for you. He remembers what he has learned during the Calibrations. ]

Oh, don't- Don't mention it, Cal. I just- If either of them had wanted to harm you, I--

[ Frankly? He doesn't know what exactly he would have done. Though it may not have been pretty? ]

I'm just glad to hear it went well.

[ And he's not going to mention that Tony has pointed out the other Jedi being listed under a different name than Ben on the network. ]

[Cal smiles faintly at that as he nods.]

I'm glad too.

There's been some things I've been thinking of doing too. I'll have to talk with Tony about it. But I wanted to get the replicator project out of the way first.

Oh yeah, then there's... [He pauses, trying to figure out how to explain.] -have you been to the beach out here yet?

[ Jon gives a small nod in regards to what may beCal's future projects. At least the boy knows what to do with himself, that's good.

At the question about the beach? Jon frowns. ]

The beach. Ah... No. I can't really say I was aware there is a beach nearby...

[ He rarely ventures close enough to the southern edge of the city to notice. ]

There is. The trail's easy to miss but it's there. If you do find the beach, be careful of the local sealife. They don't look very friendly.

That's not really the point I was getting at, though. There are caves there. ...the Agrii tried using them to shelter from the storm.

[ Cal, you're tempting him with the sea. Jon grew up at the sea. He's definitely going to swim in the sea!

So you found a place where they hid. Or... Tried... To hide.

[ That's a very particular phrasing there. ]

Did you come across any bodies?

[It's all very nice so long as you avoid the fat green crustaceans!]

It didn't always work for them.

[He closes his eyes, shaking his head.]

No, no bodies. I wasn't able to explore too much of the caverns. There's...something about them.

I saw some raw veins of what I think might be the same crystals used for the power rods to charge things in the city. I'm not sure if it was just because of that or something else, but... It caused a reaction with my Force sensitivity. Everything just seemed to open up.

The caves interfered with your powers?

[ That... May make things tricky, yes. ]

I will take a quick look at those caves when I head down there - But I also feel like Tony should check out those veins. Maybe there is a use for those. What I wonder about is... Why would the Agrii seek shelter there?

Not quite interfered with. More like...enhanced it. Like, normally for me to read any past echoes from an object, I'd have to come into contact with it. In there, it just happened. I couldn't break out of it.

Thankfully BeeDee managed to get ahold of Echo. He helped get me out of there.

I'm not sure about the why's. Maybe they're aware that there's some kind of power there, hoped it could negate the storm's effects. They even brought supplies in there.

...it didn't happen so long as ago as they've made it out to be though, not nearly as long as that.

Right- I... I recall coming across BD-1's transmission.

[ Way after the fact, but he remembers it. ]

...I'm thankful that Echo was able to help you.

[ A pause. ]

Can I ask what brings you to that conclusion? Did you find anything specific in those echoes?

[ Jon has already assumed something like that due to the state of decay the city is in. It hardly looks to have been abandoned for centuries to him. ]

Poor BeeDee. Guess I really worried him. I think the cave was having a weird effect on him too. His metal even started glowing.

[Cal frowns a little, shaking his head.]

It's kind of hard to describe. It's more of a...feeling? I'm sure it was because of my sudden hypersensitivity through the Force. It's like...the rings that form when you throw something into still waters. The most recent memories connected to that place are sparse, and haven't left as much of an impression. But then some ways along the line there's just an overload, one right after the other.

I saw them fleeing, cowering. They were in pain, and they were confused because nothing like it had happened before. They couldn't understand what was going on, and their fear only grew when they realized that even in the caverns they weren't safe. ...there was death too.

[He's thankful they were so overlapped that he can't quite remember each and every experience he must have lived through, but he's become more determined to help the Agrii and everyone here now who has been drawn into whatever has been happening here.]

[ Jon gives a very slow exhale, then shakes his head, slowly. ]

...Jesus Christ. That's... Terrible. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I... Will be careful when I go to check the caves. But... I should be fine. You probably shouldn't head in there until we know more - Or have a way to negate the effect you were under.

I haven't had much plans to go back right away, but you're right. Definitely wouldn't go alone. I'm glad BeeDee was there.

Yeah, I will see if someone wants to accompany me.

[ Or simply go by himself after all. because he's a responsible adult. ]

I think that'd be for the best.
