Jedi Lost
WHO: Obi-Wan Kenobi and YOU
WHERE: Throughout Tembra
WHAT: A new arrival!
WHEN: Beginning of December
WARNINGS: None - Will update if needed.
It was a strange experience.
Obi-Wan Kenobi had recently moved into the little hut that he found abandoned near the Dune Sea on Tatooine. His Eopie had been munching on feed nearby while he fiddled with the broken down vaporator, trying to get it running again so that he would have a source of water. The twin suns beating down on him as he worked. It was miserable work, but it was necessary. The hood of his cloak pulled over his head to protect him from the suns and the blowing sand.
He had just put in a new part and was hooking it up when things suddenly changed. He found himself waking up in a strange place, surrounded by old crumbling buildings covered in overgrowth. A far cry for the beak desert planet he had just been on. In alarm he tried to get his bearings, confusion overwhelming and threatening panic which is managed to quell by releasing his feelings into the Force. It was then that he caught sight of a glowing orb, finding himself drawn to it.
After getting the mental download, things were clearer, but he was no more happy for it. He shouldn't be here. This wasn't his place. His destiny and purpose was to be on that force forsaken planet, looking after a young boy who was no more than a baby. Not in this strange place called Agra 10. He had to get back, yet he didn't know the first clue on how to do so. If he could just find out where he was exactly, find a ship, something, he could get back to Luke.
Not trusting the device that he found himself with, he tucked it away in his robe and began exploring the dilapidated city. His hood still pulled over his head as he snuck about and rummaged around. His senses on the alert for anything that might be perceived as a threat. Any sudden movement likely resulting in him whirling around and taking the defensive with lightsaber in hand or a force push for anything that got too close. He was on edge, suspicious of everything, expecting to be attacked.
In his explorations he eventually comes upon the hangar, hope filling him as he sees the grounded ships. Finally, something that looked promising! The Jedi making a dash for them, and finding that he could only access one which happened to open up for him when he came near. It was the Twin Roses. With the utmost caution he carefully stepped onto the ship, hoping not to run into anyone, and making his way to the cockpit.
((OOC: Feel free to run into him just about anywhere in the city! If you want to continue off a TDM thread I'm cool with that too!))

“It sounds like we have a plan, then. I will be in touch with the both of you when I have something to report.”
no subject
"Sounds good," he says once they've all agreed on what they're doing. "It's all worth a shot. Hopefully something comes out of it."
no subject
"Come on, you have to be at least a little optimistic," he says with a slight smile at Echo. They have a chance here. It's more than anything they might have had, and Cal knows there's some people here with special skills too. Already going over what his next steps will be, the padawan looks between Obi-Wan and the trooper again before his eyes settle on the former.
"So is there anything else that we need to touch on, any questions in general?" he asks.
no subject
He can’t help but smile at Cal’s words. “Cal is right. I think there is reason to have hope, and right now we need as much as we can get.” It was something so rare now and hardly seemed attainable, yet it still seemed to exist even in the most unlikely of places.
“Ah... no I don’t think so,” he then replies as a question is directed at him. “I believe I’ve had enough for one day. All I could use now is a meal and a place to sleep.”

His gaze also falls back to Ben once Cal asks if anything else needs to be covered, and the practicality of those needs only makes sense. "As far as I know, the shuttles provide both. I think the map also said something about an inn. If I read it right, it's probably somewhere nearby?" The clone looks to Cal for confirmation.
Shortly afterward, a bit of hesitation takes place, leaving him to point an index finger in the air. "And if you ever need a drink, there's a bar that just opened." The uncertainty of this addition is driven by the fact that it's already said and done, no takebacks. His palm opens up, facing skyward. "The proprietor's a little weird in my opinion, but he's alright."
no subject
"Otherwise, this is the hotel, like I mentioned earlier. Plenty of usable rooms, good for temporary lodging until you find somewhere better. There's a diner just across the way, other side of the square and the fountain. And yeah, there's the bar. Haven't been there yet myself." He arches a brow at Echo's report, smiling wryly. Well, this place does have it's share of interesting people, he'll admit.
"If there's anything else that ever comes up, you can always contact me over the communicators too. But general questions, most people here are willing to help out and fill you in. We're all in the same situation, after all."

He then nodded at what the both of them said. His interest a bit piqued at the idea of seeing these shuttles.
“I think I may see these ships. Especially if they’re right here. And don’t worry, I will certainly be in touch if I need anything. Likewise, do contact me if you need anything, either of you.”
The Jedi then paused, looking wistfully between them for a moment. Being in the company of another Jedi, and a clone who was a friend, it was still a lot to process.
“Until then, may the Force be with you both.”

Even if the reunion had a rough start, having that much in the way of a connection still means a lot to Echo. The look in Ben's eyes is an expression he both understands and doesn't, but it's enough to remind him that he should give the man his space.
Saluting is out of the question as Ben says this, the automatic response replaced with another brusque nod. "Ben." From the former General, he looks over at the Scrapper and his little droid. "Cal. BeeDee." He then turns away, each following movement careful so that the action of picking up his blaster isn't seen as a threat.
It's here he decides he'll take another scenic route around the city, just to reflect on everything that has been said between them.

He smiles, nodding at his fellow Jedi, then at the ARC Trooper, raising a hand in a wave as the latter took his leave.
They could do this. They could move on.

Obi-Wan nodded at Echo and then Cal, offering the later a smile and a bow before turning and going on his way. This was a good start, and he hoped that the trend would only continue between them.
