Jedi Lost

WHO: Obi-Wan Kenobi and YOU
WHERE: Throughout Tembra
WHAT: A new arrival!
WHEN: Beginning of December
WARNINGS: None - Will update if needed.

It was a strange experience.

Obi-Wan Kenobi had recently moved into the little hut that he found abandoned near the Dune Sea on Tatooine. His Eopie had been munching on feed nearby while he fiddled with the broken down vaporator, trying to get it running again so that he would have a source of water. The twin suns beating down on him as he worked. It was miserable work, but it was necessary. The hood of his cloak pulled over his head to protect him from the suns and the blowing sand.

He had just put in a new part and was hooking it up when things suddenly changed. He found himself waking up in a strange place, surrounded by old crumbling buildings covered in overgrowth. A far cry for the beak desert planet he had just been on. In alarm he tried to get his bearings, confusion overwhelming and threatening panic which is managed to quell by releasing his feelings into the Force. It was then that he caught sight of a glowing orb, finding himself drawn to it.

After getting the mental download, things were clearer, but he was no more happy for it. He shouldn't be here. This wasn't his place. His destiny and purpose was to be on that force forsaken planet, looking after a young boy who was no more than a baby. Not in this strange place called Agra 10. He had to get back, yet he didn't know the first clue on how to do so. If he could just find out where he was exactly, find a ship, something, he could get back to Luke.

Not trusting the device that he found himself with, he tucked it away in his robe and began exploring the dilapidated city. His hood still pulled over his head as he snuck about and rummaged around. His senses on the alert for anything that might be perceived as a threat. Any sudden movement likely resulting in him whirling around and taking the defensive with lightsaber in hand or a force push for anything that got too close. He was on edge, suspicious of everything, expecting to be attacked.

In his explorations he eventually comes upon the hangar, hope filling him as he sees the grounded ships. Finally, something that looked promising! The Jedi making a dash for them, and finding that he could only access one which happened to open up for him when he came near. It was the Twin Roses. With the utmost caution he carefully stepped onto the ship, hoping not to run into anyone, and making his way to the cockpit.

((OOC: Feel free to run into him just about anywhere in the city! If you want to continue off a TDM thread I'm cool with that too!))

Teddy spots the form of the hooded Jedi from his position in the sky, and is immediately taken with curiosity. The figure isn't someone he readily recognizes, and after nearly a year spent with mostly the same familiar faces, this can only mean one thing. A new arrival is here.

He dives downward, his large, reptile-like wings stretching out to catch the wind and slow his descent. Landing softly a few feet behind the new comer, he barely has time to open his mouth and speak before the figure moves, whirling around while bringing up his lightsaber in a defensive position.

Teddy takes a step back, his clawed hands coming up in front of him. He watches the brightly colored saber warily.

"Uh...hello? Sorry if I startled you. I was just coming down to introduce myself. You're new, right?"

Twin Roses

Entering the Twin Roses is a bit harder when the door opens and there is someone there at the doors, ready to walk out. Someone who is shocked to see him there.

"Woah, man. Who the fuck are you?"

Exploration happens. Reeve understood this because he was prone to it himself. Mostly because he was evaluating whether the recent storm had managed to do more severe damage to the city.

The man walked along, with a stuffed animal in the form of a bipedal tuxedo cat walking at his side. The doll was clearly a bit worse for the wear, torn in some places and repaired with green thread. It also wore a cape, and the doll would absolutely read in the Force sense, something Jedi had commented on before. In fact, Cal had used the force to track Mini for Reeve, so there was even a very obvious tie between the man and the doll, something the Force would be able to sense.

That said, the man himself hadn't noticed Obi Wan yet. Instead Reeve was looking down at the doll and talking as he walked.

"I don't know. Road repairs seem very unlikely, we don't seem to have a way to do concrete or asphalt yet. Perhaps stones, like cobbling?"

At last he looks up and sees the man.

"Oh, hello."

[Continued from here]

Poe and BB led the way towards the Inn, pointing out landmarks along the way.

"There's usually some kind of food prepared here, but if Tommy hasn't got to it, there's always the food gels on the ships." Poe twisted a face, suggesting that was not the option to take unless absolutely necessary. "And if the Agrii every offer you anything just...be careful. They don't have the best understanding of how humanoids work."

[ Picking up from here~ ] ]

It's all Jon can do to give a nod of simple approval of the other man's observation. Playing is, indeed, a remarkably fitting term to use for what the Atroma are doing to them as well as the Agrii.

As for the questions about the storms, the Archivist can only shake his head. "No one knows what causes them. They are deadly for the Agrii and interfere with whatever supernatural powers one might have aside from causing hallucinations. As a general rule I found it useful to assume everything you see or hear during a storm isn't real. Especially if it turns out to be someone you care about and they attempt to lure you away rather than approach you - Preferably without attacking you."

Will he mention that his own apparitions attempted to make him feel included during the most recent storm? No. He will rather try to forget about that.
beholding_archivist: Do not take. Thanks. (I suppose this was a bad idea)

And Jon won't complain about the subject change. In fact, it's rather welcome.

"At the moment, we are twenty-four. People come and leave again, so the numbers change." Jon has been keeping records of everyone present. Where he can with times of arrival and departures. It's not quite as complete as he would have liked it to be, however.

There is a pause from the Archivist as he remembers something else. "I'm Jonathan Sims, by the way. Ah- It's nice to meet you. And I... I apologize for my reaction. You know. Earlier..." He vaguely gestures towards where the hilt of Obi-Wan's lightsaber is now hanging on the Jedi's belt.

He didn't want to run into anyone, so of course Wanda's right there in the hangar tending to the planters the crew set up. It's odd to see someone she doesn't immediately recognize - even if she doesn't regularly speak to everyone she at least knows their faces. "I haven't seen you before. You are new, yes?"

Teddy relaxes and lowers his hands once the man lowers his weapon. He doesn't blame him for being on edge, especially if he's just gotten here. It can take time for the reality of the situation to really set in, especially for those unused to multiverse shenanigans.

"Alright. Well, I'm Teddy. Teddy Altman. I've been here almost a year now, so if you have any questions or need help finding a place to stay I'd be happy to help."

"W-well, it's... It's an understandable reaction." Jon shrugs, but then frowns. "But your weapon... That's a lightsaber, isn't it? It's been a while since we had one of those here..." Cal doesn't have his and Altair has left months ago, but Jon remembers the Sith Lord as well what he has learned from Cal's memories back when they were all trapped in the tunnels. And it leaves the Archivist with a very simple question.

"So... You are either Jedi or Sith." A very matter-of-factly observation rather than a question. He can't exactly trust himself not to accidentally compel a person he has just met.
beholding_archivist: (Go away please.)

[personal profile] beholding_archivist 2020-12-07 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Jon considers the response for a moment, then gives a slow nod. "Both use the Force and lightsabers and don't necessarily agree with one another." He won't be giving this man he knows hardly anything about any names just like that. That weapon is a dangerous one and he isn't going to risk endangering Cal.

Instead, he will send the Padawan a message after parting ways with Ben.

He raises a cautious brow at the other man. "The last Sith Lord we had here was peaceful."

Keeping it simple sometimes tends to be the most efficient way, so Jon isn't bothered by it.

"He is a Sith Lord, a member of the Sith Council in his time and galaxy and even the currently ruling Emperor. Though he also mentioned that his time is a different one from certain others from his galaxy." There is a small shrug from the Archivist. "His lightsaber has, indeed, been red." Unlike the one he has seen in Cal's memories.

Jon gestures again towards Obi-Wan's weapon. "Yours is blue, I vividly recall that." This is followed by a thoughtful pause. "I do not know how familiar you are with... What time you are from. And it may not be my place to tell you any of this. But there is a Padawan here. Who I can message and ask if he wishes to meet you."

“Right. I will let him know, but the decision is up to him.” Jon answers with a little nod. Maybe Cal even knows Ben.

“Another thing I heard about is how your galaxy has seen some unpleasant warfare...” He muses while starting to type said message. “The Jedi were involved as well.”
beholding_archivist: (u sure.)

[personal profile] beholding_archivist 2020-12-08 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
That reaction is a curious one and makes Jon look up from his phone as he sends the message, not sure when Cal May get around to read it.

“Where you involved in it?” This one is a question. One born of actual curiosity and carried by a hint of the Archivist’s compulsion. Maybe just about enough to give the faintest idea of a luring tingle at the back of the Jedi’s mind.
