Jedi Lost
WHO: Obi-Wan Kenobi and YOU
WHERE: Throughout Tembra
WHAT: A new arrival!
WHEN: Beginning of December
WARNINGS: None - Will update if needed.
It was a strange experience.
Obi-Wan Kenobi had recently moved into the little hut that he found abandoned near the Dune Sea on Tatooine. His Eopie had been munching on feed nearby while he fiddled with the broken down vaporator, trying to get it running again so that he would have a source of water. The twin suns beating down on him as he worked. It was miserable work, but it was necessary. The hood of his cloak pulled over his head to protect him from the suns and the blowing sand.
He had just put in a new part and was hooking it up when things suddenly changed. He found himself waking up in a strange place, surrounded by old crumbling buildings covered in overgrowth. A far cry for the beak desert planet he had just been on. In alarm he tried to get his bearings, confusion overwhelming and threatening panic which is managed to quell by releasing his feelings into the Force. It was then that he caught sight of a glowing orb, finding himself drawn to it.
After getting the mental download, things were clearer, but he was no more happy for it. He shouldn't be here. This wasn't his place. His destiny and purpose was to be on that force forsaken planet, looking after a young boy who was no more than a baby. Not in this strange place called Agra 10. He had to get back, yet he didn't know the first clue on how to do so. If he could just find out where he was exactly, find a ship, something, he could get back to Luke.
Not trusting the device that he found himself with, he tucked it away in his robe and began exploring the dilapidated city. His hood still pulled over his head as he snuck about and rummaged around. His senses on the alert for anything that might be perceived as a threat. Any sudden movement likely resulting in him whirling around and taking the defensive with lightsaber in hand or a force push for anything that got too close. He was on edge, suspicious of everything, expecting to be attacked.
In his explorations he eventually comes upon the hangar, hope filling him as he sees the grounded ships. Finally, something that looked promising! The Jedi making a dash for them, and finding that he could only access one which happened to open up for him when he came near. It was the Twin Roses. With the utmost caution he carefully stepped onto the ship, hoping not to run into anyone, and making his way to the cockpit.
((OOC: Feel free to run into him just about anywhere in the city! If you want to continue off a TDM thread I'm cool with that too!))

"So... You are either Jedi or Sith." A very matter-of-factly observation rather than a question. He can't exactly trust himself not to accidentally compel a person he has just met.
no subject
"And what do you know about the Jedi and Sith?" What has been told to those here about them? It would be best if he was prepared for people's previous impressions.
no subject
Instead, he will send the Padawan a message after parting ways with Ben.
He raises a cautious brow at the other man. "The last Sith Lord we had here was peaceful."
no subject
"Then he wasn't much of a Sith Lord. I have never known one to be peaceful."
In fact, he would question if he was even a Sith Lord at all. Perhaps just someone who wanted to be one. Such as Asajj Ventress or the like.
"The easiest way to tell a Sith Lord from a Jedi is by the color of their lightsaber, which would be red. Anyone who uses the dark side of the Force would have one of such a color if they have been using it long enough."
no subject
"He is a Sith Lord, a member of the Sith Council in his time and galaxy and even the currently ruling Emperor. Though he also mentioned that his time is a different one from certain others from his galaxy." There is a small shrug from the Archivist. "His lightsaber has, indeed, been red." Unlike the one he has seen in Cal's memories.
Jon gestures again towards Obi-Wan's weapon. "Yours is blue, I vividly recall that." This is followed by a thoughtful pause. "I do not know how familiar you are with... What time you are from. And it may not be my place to tell you any of this. But there is a Padawan here. Who I can message and ask if he wishes to meet you."
no subject
"You recall correctly." And while he didn't confirm or deny that he was a Jedi, Obi-Wan's eyes widened slightly. "A padawan? Here?" He looks a bit overwhelmed at the thought of it, though he manages to keep his emotions in check. "I would very much like to meet him."
no subject
“Another thing I heard about is how your galaxy has seen some unpleasant warfare...” He muses while starting to type said message. “The Jedi were involved as well.”
no subject
He wasn't going to argue, but felt it a little odd. This person seems rather protective of this padawan. Were they close in some way? Though honestly, he would probably be the same, so he can't really blame Jon. What's said next causes Obi-Wan to fall into a solemn silence.
"Yes, that is true."
no subject
“Where you involved in it?” This one is a question. One born of actual curiosity and carried by a hint of the Archivist’s compulsion. Maybe just about enough to give the faintest idea of a luring tingle at the back of the Jedi’s mind.
no subject
“I was.”
Obi-Wan had to wonder how much this man knew. Though it hardly mattered. What was done was done. Yet all the more reason to use his false name if such information had been shared among all of those on this planet.
no subject
And yet Ben may be referring to another war altogether... Jon considers this possibility, then offers a rather particular piece of knowledge, his tone a casual prod.
"I have met one of the clone troopers."
no subject
"Is he still here?"
No matter which clone it was, he wasn't particularly eager to meet him. Especially considering he didn't know how he might react to the presence of a Jedi, and a well known one at that.
no subject
He sighs. "He is. And I ask you not to raise your weapon at him. We're trying to figure out what caused the... Reaction. It hasn't happened yet in his time."
The phone in his hand gives a brief vibration, drawing Jon's attention to it, and he frowns. "....right. Cal agrees to meet with you though he doesn't recognize your name. Merely a... Jedi Master by the name Obi-Wan Kenobi." Jon pauses, casting a look over at Ben before nodding and starting a response. "I will let him know where we met. And I suppose it's alright now for me to share his name."
no subject
Thus he simply nods in reply, finding that acceptable. A thoughtful look coming to his face after a moment as he considered the name Cal. "Does he have a last name?" Not everyone did after all.
no subject
And if he were entirely honest, then Jon would like to learn more about it. About everything. Though that may be a bad idea.
no subject
Though as Jon went on, the Jedi glanced at him, then nodded appreciatively. Glad for the kindness but finding it difficult to comment on. “Thank you. Though admittedly it’s not something I prefer to talk about. I’m sure you understand.” It was too much and it was too soon. Obi-Wan was still coming to grips with it himself.
no subject
“I, ah... If there is anything else I can help you with, any questions I can try answering...?” It’s less a question and more an offer.
no subject
“No, not at this time,” he says a bit distractedly. “I’m going to keep looking around. Though I won’t go far if Cal decides to come looking for me. He shouldn’t have any trouble.”
And really Obi-Wan just wanted to meditate or something. To release these feelings that have bubbled up again thanks to the topic.
no subject
Though he will keep his senses sharp for any sudden spikes of fear. Just in case.
no subject
“Thank you, but I don’t need luck. May the Force be with you.”
no subject
A tone he is bound to disappoint.
"There.... Used to be. The building is at the town center, but- I suppose I must warn you that it currently contains a total of two books." A remarkable collection.
And this is exactly the reason why Jon doesn't really want to refer to it as a library any longer... People... Get their hopes up?
no subject
"Two books. Well, that is a rather small selection. Perhaps one day that can be changed."
It is what it is, and Obi-Wan wasn't going to dwell on it. Though he may still pay the building a visit. No matter Tony's claims of it being supposedly haunted.
"I won't keep you any longer."
Thus he turns and decides to go about his way, looking for a suitable spot to meditate for awhile.
