[ Here's a face that hasn't been around in a few months. She's back, with her memories intact and a few new ones from hopping around the multiverse a little more. There's no preamble or pretense when she starts to speak, though — more abrupt than not. ]

Sooooooooooo. Who wants to catch me up on the last four or five months? Looks like I've missed An Ordeal. Very likely more than one.

[ Was that luck or un-luck? There's no real flippancy to her tone, she just likes getting to the point of things, especially now. ]

Secondly, roll call for my family, please, of any universe of origin — just let me know if you're still here and who I have to slap into the next multiverse for doing something shitty to you while I was M-I-A.

[ She might be a little protective ok. ]

And in conclusion, for any new faces here since I've been gone, I guess: Hi, I'm Lorna Dane, I've been told I have a magnetic personality.

[ JOKES. There's a slightly cheesy smile as she cuts the feed. ]

On my way to find some food in the mess hall, because I feel like I could eat a far too overloaded plate and then have regrets later.

Yeah. I almost wish I was on the Twin Roses right now. Stark helped me put in a hydroponic unit so there would be fresh food. But I'll me you there. Give you the full briefing on all the shit.

[After all, he's picked up a new and still quite visible scar since she's been gone.]

So he did do something cool here so far, nice; I'll have to check it out sometime. Also, maybe start this briefing on why I shouldn't freak out. [ "don't freak" usually makes people do the opposite. pls ]

[And he's going to be waiting for her at one of the too-large Agri-sized tables in the mess hall, a bowl of food in front of him. And with him being in a short-sleve shirt, it's quite obvious what he meant. A scar not unlike an electrical burn up and down the whole of one arm. It was only through some very careful care by Billy and Wanda that the thing looked almost a year old now instead of months. He was lucky. It wasn't hideously disfiguring. Just... annoying.]

[ When she spots him, the first thing she notices is just him overall, how glad she is to see him in person. The second is the arm, which looks uncomfortable to have to manage.

When she's over net to him, she greets him with a relieved smile, and goes in for a hug. ]

Hey, there.

[The number of people who will willingly get a hug from Tommy can literally be counted on one hand. Lorna? On that hand. Which is why he not only accepts the hug, but gives her one of the best he's probably ever given. One of those ones that is part bear-hug, part swinging someone around with joy.]

Welcome back, Lorna. Fuck, you're a sight for sore eyes.

[ She will take this honor with pride. ]

Right back at you; god, I missed you. [ She returns the hug almost as tightly, which means it's a good thing neither of them have Hulk-level strength, otherwise they'd be pancakes. ]

[He may not be a Hulk, but he's still strong for his size. And clearly happy to have her here.]

Damn right you did. I'm amazing.

Well, obviously. [ She laughs lightly at that. ]

On a less fun note, who do I have to kill for that look on your arm?

[Oh boy, right to the weighty questions. Okay, Tommy needs something more food-like for this.]

You want a burger? I want a burger.

[And by burger he means something that looks like a burger and is just peanut butter and jelly. He races off and returns with a stack of them and then sits down to take a bite. Can't talk, chewing.]

You're not going to hurt anyone. It was a mistake. After you left, a lot of things happened. Like rage bugs, that tunneled into our nervous systems and made us attack people. I tried to destroy the shuttles. Nearly killed some people. Wanda had to stop me with her powers.

[Rage overwhelming, making you attack people you love. And who, Lorna, do they know who is electrokinetic, in addition to being magic? Exactly. Can't let you kill his twin.]

I always want a burger. [ PB&J burgers are gonna be wild, though. ]

I know how that goes, so more than fair enough. [ as she shoves her mental asskicking boots back into the corner of her brain where it's not ready to throw down. ] Can't fairly hold things against people who are being controlled by anything. [ Not that that stops people from doing it. But. ]

Did I miss anything good?

[Well, at least she isn't going to kick Billy's ass. He smiles at that.]

Oh man, so many things. Let's see, we ended up on a world out of fucking Star Trek. No actual kidding. Then there was Billy showing off his magic to make a carnival and flower blossom viewing thing. I found an abandoned resort or vacation island in the ocean nearby. Tony Stark showed up and I'm trying to be nice to him. We had to do some weird shit called Calibrations. There were rage bugs. And then we did the whole 'go find and save the Agrii'. Oh, and I've taken over the diner."

Yep, enjoy that one minute information upload from Tommy.

I missed Star Trek? [ SO. RUDE. !!!!. That sounds fun. ] But wait, you found something like that in the ocean? That's cool as fuck and I want to see it. Please tell me you called it Atlantis, if you mean like in as in down below the water.

Oh yeah. Risa. The vacation planet that Picard always goes to.

[Lorna, he's a Trekkie. Tell no one.]

Not in the ocean. Island, right? I didn't name it. Stark thinks we should renovate it, but most people can't get there and I'm not making a boat.

[Lorna could probably get there though.]

Well if he wants to renovate it, maybe he should build the boat. Or, you know, whatever Extra thing he wants to come up with instead, like jet pack shoes or something. [ give everyone little iron man armor shoes, yep what could go wrong???? ]

Exactly my damn point to him. But I'm trying not to upset him because...

[Tommy looks awkward for a moment before taking a deep breath.]

He made me realize something, and now I'm trying to get him to teach me stuff.

"Something" and "Stuff" sounds promising; anything shareable? [ She won't pry if it's not, but she is interested. ]

[How do you tell your aunt that you were pretty sure that you really were everything people called you, and you're starting to realize you can be more than your powers?]

It's hard to talk about. But he still treats me like a kid. Like, worse than most people do. Stupid age shit.

Then he's far more incorrect and full of shit than I already thought he was.

[ WHICH IS SO MUCH. God, she would love to know the answer to the question 'what is wrong with most Tony Starks and why are most of them Like This?' ]

Because you're not some young, naive, inexperienced kid — and not just because of the whole fact that being a mutant means we grow up faster than anyone should have to. Though, that is an idea, him having to be a mutant for a week and see how he fucking likes the human-majority society then, but I digress. My point is you're way more than whatever stupid age shit anyone tosses at you, especially considering what you have been through, and the fact that your family, in our world, aren't the shining role models you deserve.

[ Herself, Wanda, Pietro, and Erik, are all hot damn messes, and she knows it. She wishes they weren't, but... ]

He's not all bad, Lorna. He's...

[The guy tried to help him with his confidence. That was something.]

[The Shepherds sucked. Lorna was... reasonable. Fuck, Lorna might be the MOST reasomable.]

[ She has A Lot Of Feelings, she knows. Usually for the worse. Or at the very least, the inconvenient. She also tries not to think about what a low bar the role models must be. ]

Just please love yourself enough to say no to having sex with a Summers. I don't need that kind of role modeling influence on my conscience; that would age me twenty years, and thirty-nine is old enough, thanks.

[ It's delivered with a small smile and mostly deadpan. She's done worse (either by her own will — or more often, when her mind wasn't hers), but still. Still. It's an intentionally lighter comment. ]

[So yeah, not very likely. Besides, there was this... feeling he had about this one guy that he so isn't talking about because Stark made it awkward.]

[ Being in Scott's (or any Summers') presence for more than five seconds should do that to a person. ]

Welllll, since I wasn't home, I was part of this...covenish? This witch brought people in from all corners of the multiverse to go save other worlds, basically. Results were varied. I met different versions of people from home, among with people from way other worlds, which was cool. Not a new thing, sure, but, cool. My favorite one we got sent to by the head witch in charge was the world that might as well have been straight out of a Dungeons and Dragons DM book; dragons, gold, taverns, et cetera.

[ Ah, good times. ]

Then I got pulled to this futuristic world that was a disaster, but I did offer my help to what was classified as a 'militant organization of rebels' because that's what you get labelled as when you're anti-capitalist and pro-dismantling government corruption. Not that that's exactly uncommon in our world, either. Highlights there included threatening Stephen god damn Strange's life to his face for being a dick by selling everyone out and almost getting us killed, and also meeting a mutant from a similar world to ours who told me he .... had a child with another version of me. So THAT'S a thing somewhere in the multiverse.
