"Stand back," Ren warns and once it's a safe enough distance, he powers up his saber. He hasn't used it much here because he's heeded the Agrii warning that if he uses it for something violent (by their standards), they'll take it away. It's another limb, at this point, and he won't have that.
He grasps it two-handed as he starts to carve through the door, making a hole wide enough for more than one person to go through. If the ship is blowing, they need to be able to get through this door quickly and it isn't going to be a neat job.
Metal falls to the ground, superheated, and curls at the edges of the door where he's left it intact. He finishes after a moment and powers down his weapon.
"Wait for it to cool before risking going through. It's hot right now."
Important mission or not, such wa hardly going to put a damper on Cayde's interests when it came to new and exciting weaponry. He wasn't really a sword kinda guy but oh the way his eyes lit up (well, more so than usual) at Kylo Ren's display as the light sword was brought into play.
He was grinning an awful lot as what was left of the door fell down where it had previously been one piece. Excitedly he swiveled a look back at Tony like a kid at a toy store.
First, Tony was staring at the weapon, squinting slightly in the burst of light, then he was staring at the damage it left behind, the sizzling crackle as the metal continued to warp around the heat and the smoke. He turned to Cayde almost at the same time as the Exo looked to him, wide-eyed surprise, talking over him, "That was better than I thought." Maybe he could be persuaded to not completely mistrust Ren for what he saw in Poe's head. The little torch Tony had built into his gauntlet suddenly seemed obsolete.
They didn't really have that much time for a decent cooling process, though; they had a ship to unload, and dinghies to do it with. The only hesitation Tony had was a look at Cayde's scorched side, brow furrowed with the question he still hadn't asked, then he was ducking around the heated metal, nothing he didn't deal with regularly. In the hall outside, it was still quiet. There was a panel in the wall, though, that Tony immediately punched through, tangling his gauntleted fist in the wires, apparently sorting them by feel then jamming one into a port that seemed to open up in either the gold suit he wore, or his arm itself. Several more panels lit up down the length of the hall as Tony looked up toward the ceiling, like he was listening. "Can't find the destruct program," he reported, trancelike in his wandering gaze as he tried to download and process a whole alien spaceship quickly. "No record of anybody on board. Doesn't mean they aren't here. There's a cargo bay, feels big enough. Down."
The Exo waved off Tony's concerns and any verbal response with a hand. A look at Kylo Ren and a jerk of his head towards the door, and then he dove through after Tony, his frayed cloak whispering past the red-hot edges of metal.
Although he dropped a hand to his holstered gun, Cayde didn't expect any surprises on the other side. Tony hadn't been screaming once he got through, and altogether, it was too quiet. He was used to quiet, abandoned ships, but they were usually more derelict and way more interesting.
Stepping aside to allow space for Ren, Cayde watched as Tony did his thing, browplates lifting. "None? Well that's annoying. We better keep moving then." He nodded and looked down the corridor before starting on down to look for stairs or a lift. "Over there," he points, hurrying his steps as he takes his own earlier advice.

"I want one."
