"He might not have had much information to give." There's also the question of how secure communications are considering the current situation, but he sees no need to voice it. There's nothing he can do about it anyway, and even if the lines aren't secure, passing information along can still be worth the risk.

At least they agree about the footage from Cloud; the Soldier is reassured by the fact that he wasn't the only one to see it. That means he hasn't imagined it, which is a definite point in its favor. And mass hallucination with all of them so spread apart seems unlikely.

"It could be a trap," he cautions, though Cal seems to have enough sense about him that he's likely also considered the possibility. "Staged, in order to provoke a response. And with a time limit." Not that the possibility eliminates the concept of rescue; in fact, it probably makes rescue even more crucial. But it definitely puts them at a disadvantage, especially the time limit thing.

It also comes with its own problems. "We may have to prioritize, and I don't know that everyone would agree if it comes to that." He's run up against the idea too-heroic that everyone and everything must be saved, which ends up doing more harm than cutting losses against a time limit — and leads to arguments. They probably don't have time for that.

The possibility of a trap has definitely been considered, and Cal nods at the Soldier's warning. "I don't like it, but we still need to do something about it," he says. That much, he's certain of.

While he doesn't like the thought that they might not be able to help everyone, Cal understands the reasoning behind it. He doesn't want to voice a commitment on that, however. If there's someone who needs their help, he'll do whatever it takes to help them. The Order may be gone, but that doesn't mean he'll neglect what he's been trained to do, as a Jedi.

"We need more information," he says instead. "I'm sure those in the docking bay have been busy, so maybe they've found out something we haven't. Maybe they've already started to do something."

"Can't argue that." And truly, anyone who recognizes the idea of a trap is someone with whom he'd rather work, because it means they'll be more on guard and hopefully less likely to do something stupid. Or stupidly heroic.

Hopefully.

There are simply too many variables for them to realistically do more than make loose plans to head to the docking bay and see the situation for themselves. And from there, fit themselves into the most useful tasks. "I would hope they've not been idle this entire time," he replies, though with a slight levity that says he doubts that idleness had been a priority for the team. Knowing the little he does about the personalities in that group, he doubts they'd have been idle even if it was a priority. "If anything, I'm sure they could use a couple more pairs of hands for whatever it is they're working on."

If not, well, there's the task of figuring out what, exactly, happened to Cloud.

Cal smiles crookedly, briefly at the Soldier's words. He knows for a fact the others have hardly been idle, and he'll be glad to see them in person rather than just hearing from them over the at times faulty comlinks.

"Oh, I'm sure we'll have our hands full either way," he assures, unable to keep from sounding a little grim. There's really no sugarcoating the situation, trap or no. It's not something they can risk, and with time as a factor, it's going to be all hands on deck.

"Undoubtedly." The curse of competence perhaps. Or an inability to remain idle themselves. Of half a dozen other things; ultimately it doesn't matter. What matters is action, and they won'd be able to define their actions until they get a better view of the situation as a whole. Fortunately, the ship is only so big and they're making pretty good time traversing it.

Unfortunately, they haven't encountered any difficulties; that makes the Soldier suspicious more than grateful.

"Lucky us," he shoots back — though truly, it will be almost a relief to see some action as opposed to the quiet they've experienced thus far. While stealth is certainly in his skillset, the lack of needing the rest of that skillset makes him twitchy. Maybe it's the same set of senses and skills that have kept him alive and free, but he simply doesn't trust such an idle mission. "I'll admit, a fight would make me feel better about this whole thing. It's been too easy for us so far."

"I don't know about 'easy' exactly," Cal admits, frowning thoughtfully. "There are things that don't add up with this whole mission. I'd rather have a straight forward fight- at least we'd know for sure who we're up against."

But even with the other team ferreting out the supposed opposition, that doesn't seem quite clear anymore. The numbers of the apparent intruders, the disappearance of the rest of the Agrii, there are a lot of things they haven't quite put together. It should seem a simple equation, and yet the closer one looked at it, the less sense it made. That's how Cal feels, anyway.

"We still don't know where the rest of the crew is, and given the time we'd taken to even get to this ship, it's strange that the enemy ships would be lingering out there as long as they were. Unless this entire thing has been a trap from the start, and it seems to be a lot of effort just to get us all in one place."

Cal frowns. "If it was just about someone's hate for the Agrii, then they wouldn't have waited to just blow things up. And if it was someone's intent to have us all here from the start, then it can't be of the Agrii's devise, because the storm effects are no lie. Ga Re was in bad shape when whatever hit us happened. It affected our abilities the same way as back when the storm hit on Temba."

"No, but that's exactly what I mean. We haven't had a fight. We haven't encountered anything super complicated. Struggles, yes, but we've pretty much waltzed in and grabbed whatever we could in information; nothing's stopped us." Aside from some physical and environmental barriers, like a not-fully-functioning ship and the effects of the storm, they really haven't met much resistance. Maybe the other teams have encountered more and they've just been lucky; he can't discredit that line of thought however unlikely it feels. "I want to know what the catch is."

The idea of the whole thing being a trap feels more realistic, but he can't disagree with Cal's observations that it is a lot of effort just to bring them here. "If it is a trap, why here? What's so special about this location?"

He snorts. "I did notice that. And definitely not interested in a repeat performance of losing control over my arm. But if the storms are happening out here too, that tells me it's not a natural phenomenon local to the planet. Not sure what we can do about it, but having confirmation of the fact is probably useful." It still doesn't provide much direction on what, exactly, they're supposed to do about these storms, but maybe there are more clues in the information BD-1 was able to copy to his data banks.

That last bit also makes protecting the little robot paramount; the Soldier wouldn't want anything bad to happen to it anyway, but with it holding all the data it could get its little electronic hands on, that would be especially catastrophic.

Cal shrugs. "Maybe the location was random. Convenient." He shakes his head. "I don't know anything about this system so I couldn't say otherwise."

He nods, agreeing on the point about the storm. "It can't be, but even with that information, we still aren't sure how they're spawned. The Agrii claim that it can't kill us, but something out there was trying its hardest to keep us away from its center."

It had been difficult to navigate, the area was precarious and the terrain even more dangerous due to the winds, rain and the lightning. But being cut off from the Force, seeing visions of those he knew to be dead, that had made it even worse.

Cal shakes his head. "I don't like this one bit. All the more reason we need to keep our guards up. I'll feel better once we're all regrouped. Did you find anything interesting in the...hero control room?" He says the room with distaste, hoping it's just a poor choice of words than to be taken literally.
