"All right kiddies, looks like we're team Action, so I am assuming you all know what you've signed up for."
Cayde's not volunteering to be leader, but he feels a need for there to be some kind of conversation going. He's used to working with smaller teams than this, and they knew how each other worked. Obviously, here they don't have exactly the same luxury so they're going to have to do the quick version.
"And I'm assuming that you guys with the fancy guns know how to not blow your own faces off with 'em," he continues, even as he checks the ammunition on his own gun, an oversized revolver in worn black with white trim. "Main point I wanna make? We've never fought together before. We also don't know what we're diving headlong into. But everyone knows their own strengths, and it won't hurt none to let everyone else know what you do best and your preferences as to where you'd rather be as we set out and once we hit trouble."
The Exo smiles brightly at the rest assembled as though they're on a field trip rather than a rescue mission, slapping the chamber of his handcannon into place. "I'll go first, as an example. I like shooting things, got no qualms about bein' up front and in person with danger, and I'm not bad with a knife."
He gestures openly for anyone else to go next.

"I doubt any of us really knows what we have signed up for, Cayde..." Jon comments with a quiet voice, not entirely sure how confident he feels about himself among all these people that have already been to actual battles. But he has decided to pick up that gun, so here he is.
As for his strengths... Welp. Jon sighs. Right.
"I, uh.... I don't like shooting things, but I also don't like people getting hurt. I recover quicker than humans do and- I can mind control people." That may be the easiest way to put it.

"It's always good to have someone on point whose not afraid of getting shot at first. I've used rifles before, I did pick up a sword at the pit stop." He'll use both gun and sword if needed. Cloud had no idea what they were getting themselves into in regards to fighting. He turns his attention to Jon with a raised eyebrow.
"I've done a rescue mission before. I'm not afraid of being up close and personal when it comes to fighting. If we need to get around, we'll figure something out." He keeps his attention on Jon. "I'm best with a sword but I can shoot a weapon just fine. I'm enhanced in abilities of strength, being able to take hits harder, and I can climb high if needed."

The ship's bridge is enormous. Jon could easily fit his London apartment into it twice and have room for his office. That it's hardly made up by empty space is nothing short of daunting.
It has taken the group a good while to reach it. Two of them have broken off of the group to head down the opposite direction, but that still leaves them a notable group. A group is still thankful he hasn't entirely lost, given that the Archivist kept stopping in the long, dark hallways to marvel at the markings none of the others seem to notice. If this is actual Agrii text, then Jon really wants to study it.
At least the bridge offers some further opportunities for him to do just that. Which is proving a nice distraction from the sudden appearance of Tony's face on one of the screens.
Maybe he shouldn't have flinched so obviously at that.
It's thanks to working with those that have stayed in the shuttle bay that they have acquired access to the vessel's systems. Now it's up to them to decide what to do with the options this has presented them. Lights are an obvious choice. As is running a scan of the ship and its surroundings. But there is more they still can do here.
And while they consider those options, Jon is focused on a holographic map of the ship, turning it this way and that not merely to study the ship's layout, but also to study the various descriptions scattered all over it. Some of the terms are utterly alien to him, but to the Archivist there is a certain joy in figuring out this language.
But something else occurs to him and he turns his attention to the rest of those gathered on the bridge, for a moment leaving the map be.
"Should we contact the others? I- I mean... We- We can send this ship on a course back to Agra 10, right...?"
It's a bit of a stray thought.

"Now, now, hold your horses." Perhaps ironic, coming from the guy who likes charging headlong into things. Cayde's holstered his weapon as he saunters over to the controls, glowing gaze sweeping over the controls trying to make heads or tails of it.
"We still got extra baggage aboard, and I dunno if we wanna bring them along. Also, said extra baggage had to have gotten here somehow, so they have to have their rides close by, maybe a mother ship."
He wiggles his fingers in the air as though deciding which buttons to push first. That's probably actually not far from the truth. "Contacting the others though, there's a plan. Let's see where everyone's at."

"You think there could be more ships around than the two from the scanner?" Jon asks with very little enthusiasm for that possibility. If the crews from those two ships are already enough to leave this Agrii vessel practically empty, then Jon doesn't want to know what even more of them can do in regards of potential damage.
"Shouldn't a large ship such as this one have weapons?"
"Shouldn't a large ship such as this one have weapons?"
"Can never be too sure," Cayde says. The number of the current boarding party, if the scanner's to be believed, seems to him a bit low for a take-over. "There are some key things we don't know, like how many Agrii were aboard this ship, and where they've all gone or if our friends in that one area there have disintegrated them or something."
He squints at the console, stroking his chin. "Theoretically, that would be ideal. Shields too, provided we're not dealing with the same manufacturer who made our lovely cruise ships."

"Right..." Jon answers, not sure how they are even supposed to look half those things up.
"...you think the others might be able to look those things up?" He won't mention that he'd rather not be the one making those calls. He may be missing the right terms to ask for these information. He's already feeling stupid from looking at the screens around the bridge. He may be able to read the words, but a lot of them mean nothing to him.

The Exo's fallen silent as he studies the readouts on the scanner. "What's this room those guys are in..." he murmurs, tapping at the space where the ten invaders seem to be hanging about. "And is it important."
It occurs to him that Jon's asking things again, and he looks over at the Archivist. "Possibly, but if they're labeled and just under some different name, I don't know what difference that would make. I'd say we figure out if there are shields first.
"With those two ships sitting out there, I don't trust 'em to make an attack run if they noticed our arrival. Chances are they've been holding off outright destroying the ship for some reason, maybe something to do with why these guys are all grouped here, but if we can cut off potential reinforcement from outside, that'll be a big help to all of us in here."
He'd rather keep the attackers on a low count, no matter how many fighters they may have. They've still got civvies and a couple of babies they need to protect.

"It's labeled as Green Room." Jon offers with a shrug. "Doesn't say what its purpose is, but... I believe we could see it when we approached the ship." That large glass dome had been hard to miss. Cayde may be right that something of importance could be kept there.
"So if we have shields... And maybe weapons. You think we should try to shoot those ships?" Does Jon have any idea how these things tend to go? Not at all. He's just guessing. But Cayde has experience with space... Matters. So he can only learn from him.

"I guess Green Room makes as much sense as any other name. We can't pull up info on places from here, can we? Or some live feed..."
Cayde drums his fingers alongside the control panels, thinking. "You know how much I'd love to shoot those ships," he grins. "But if we do, we'd need to figure out if we've got operational shields, because if we don't disable those ships on the first volley, I don't know what we should expect by way of retaliation."
His expression sobers as he considers the options, and he looks around at the others. "What do you think? I figure the less things we have to focus on at a time, the better. Maybe have our buddies back at the ships keep an eye on things outside while we handle business with the invaders in here."

Jon simply sighs. "It's just a map, Cayde, not an instruction manual." Though he lets his attention be drawn back to it while the Exo addresses the rest of their group. Jon sure wouldn't mind an actual manual for the ship...
Though Cayde isn't wrong. Their group is the one quite likely carrying the most weapons. Dealing with the invaders should reasonably fall onto them.

Of course Catra was going to stray from the group. There's a whole other way to explore, and she's not going to wait around for the others. She takes off without discussing it with her team, and steps into the Medical Bay with her firearm ready.
"I'd feel better with a blaster, but this kind of thing is a pretty average day for me," Poe offers, shrugging a shoulder and offering a smile to keep things casual, "I'm all right with close combat though, I was able to pick up a knife. Also a pretty good climber," he adds, piggybacking off Cloud's comment with a smirk, thinking back to an old adventure.
"And the flying, obviously."
"And the flying, obviously."
"...I'll give our friends a call so we can touch base on this. Instruction manuals would be great, but it'd probably be in squiggly pictures and we're running on a tight schedule. Shields will probably be most beneficial for us, in any case. We can always figure out where to fly after we've cleaned up. Sound good?"
Cayde grins at Jon, and then at the others. "...unless anyone else wants to ring our guys up, of course."

"Oi, furball, wait up!" Chikai calls after her from about halfway down the hall, though he doesn't pick up his fairly relaxed pace. If she wants to go charging right in, that's fine with him. He'll happily stick with being the back-up. "See any monsters in there?"
"I'm more of a sword or knife fighter, but I'm not afraid of a gun." His aim needed work, but he could at least shoot well enough not to hit his team. But he did have a decent looking blade hooked to his belt at the moment that he'd picked up along the way. Following Poe's example, he added, "I'm also a fighter pilot."
Keith wasn't wordy, so that was pretty much all anyone was going to get unless they asked for details.

Keith stayed to the back for the time being, taking in as much of the bridge as he could while he vaguely listened to the discussion going on between Cayde and Jon. Mainly, he was just looking for something that might be familiar or at least something he could figure out somehow. Considering his current "specialty", thanks to the orbs back on Agra-10, he was figuring he'd recognize a helm panel if he found it, so that was kind of his focus for the moment. When he heard Cayde's question, he turned back to face him.
"Go ahead," he said with a shrug. It had been Cayde's idea, and Jon seemed to have the specialty for reading this stuff, so having the two of them work with Tony and crew sounded find to Keith.

[Since things were moving in a direction where Keith hadn't felt needed on the Bridge, he took it upon himself to go check on the other two who had wandered off down the other hallway. With a quick mention to Poe that he was heading out, and that made Poe the pilot for the time being, Keith turned and headed out the door without another word.]
"Being a sharpshooter is kinda my thing. Was the official gun guy of my team back home. Rifles, sniper rifles, anything really, I can adjust. So I'm definitely more experienced with long range fighting, but I'm not too shabby when it comes to melee either," he explains in regards to himself.
"Me and Keith were--are--the most frontline of frontline soldiers in a pretty nasty intergalactic war back home, so both of us have experience with all sorts of missions, including rescue ones. This definitely ain't our first rodeo. It's been a while, but when you're in that deep, those're skills you don't forget that easily."
He knew a lot of it would stick with him for life.
"Oh, and I'm a fighter pilot, too, if that comes into play here."

[The bridge was the best place to go, and he's glad for the stuff they've found there. They're in the midst of figuring out what to do with what they've found when...wait.
Did Keith just go off and ollie out with barely a word?
For the love of...]
Uh, sorry, I'm gonna-- I'm gonna go get him. Shouldn't be splitting up right now.
[With a sigh, he goes to chase after him, jogging.]
Hey, Keith, wait up!

Wh-
[The Exo stares off after them.]
And this is not splitting up, how?!?

And this is not splitting up, how?!?
What?
[Keith paused for Lance to catch up. Oh, he recognized that look. He sighed.]
I know what you're going to say, so don't. We have two people wandering off alone down that other hallway. I was gonna go check on them.

Suddenly, explosions!
"WHOA! Dammit Stark, I thought I told you to keep an eye on those guys!!!" Cayde sputters, dashing over to the control panels and looking at the screens. No one saw him go falling over a moment ago, all right?
"Euuuh... So yeah. Guess those are definitely hostiles out there. Good thing we put the shields up, right?" The Exo grins, giving a thumbs-up along with it...at least until the next shot shudders across the ship and things begin to blink and fritz out. "Oookay, that doesn't seem good."
He turns about quickly, his tattered cloak fluttering as he looks for the video feed from the Green Room. "-okay, so we definitely got a situation," he says, his optics lidding. "I'm heading out there to deal with the uninvited guests. With what's going on, I think we need some eyes here though, especially if things are going crazy."

Sorry, Cayde. Jon saw everything. Though he isn't one to judge, especially not es he is backing away somewhat from the screen he has been using to try and keep himself occupied. Not that these alien computers are making any more sense to him even after spending hours staring at them.
"You don't consider this to be crazy yet, Cayde?" He practically snaps in the Exo's direction, for the most part just a reaction to his own mounting panic. "They are shooting at us! Can't we- Can't we fire back?!" And he's just gesturing wildly at the screens, consoles and buttons! Too. Many. Buttons. Wildly pressing them won't do them any good, right? And yet that's what Jon feels inclined to do right now. Which, obviously, wouldn't help anyone.
"I- I'm coming with you." He decides, moving towards Cayde.
