"Can never be too sure," Cayde says. The number of the current boarding party, if the scanner's to be believed, seems to him a bit low for a take-over. "There are some key things we don't know, like how many Agrii were aboard this ship, and where they've all gone or if our friends in that one area there have disintegrated them or something."

He squints at the console, stroking his chin. "Theoretically, that would be ideal. Shields too, provided we're not dealing with the same manufacturer who made our lovely cruise ships."

"Right..." Jon answers, not sure how they are even supposed to look half those things up.

"...you think the others might be able to look those things up?" He won't mention that he'd rather not be the one making those calls. He may be missing the right terms to ask for these information. He's already feeling stupid from looking at the screens around the bridge. He may be able to read the words, but a lot of them mean nothing to him.

The Exo's fallen silent as he studies the readouts on the scanner. "What's this room those guys are in..." he murmurs, tapping at the space where the ten invaders seem to be hanging about. "And is it important."

It occurs to him that Jon's asking things again, and he looks over at the Archivist. "Possibly, but if they're labeled and just under some different name, I don't know what difference that would make. I'd say we figure out if there are shields first.

"With those two ships sitting out there, I don't trust 'em to make an attack run if they noticed our arrival. Chances are they've been holding off outright destroying the ship for some reason, maybe something to do with why these guys are all grouped here, but if we can cut off potential reinforcement from outside, that'll be a big help to all of us in here."

He'd rather keep the attackers on a low count, no matter how many fighters they may have. They've still got civvies and a couple of babies they need to protect.

"It's labeled as Green Room." Jon offers with a shrug. "Doesn't say what its purpose is, but... I believe we could see it when we approached the ship." That large glass dome had been hard to miss. Cayde may be right that something of importance could be kept there.

"So if we have shields... And maybe weapons. You think we should try to shoot those ships?" Does Jon have any idea how these things tend to go? Not at all. He's just guessing. But Cayde has experience with space... Matters. So he can only learn from him.

"I guess Green Room makes as much sense as any other name. We can't pull up info on places from here, can we? Or some live feed..."

Cayde drums his fingers alongside the control panels, thinking. "You know how much I'd love to shoot those ships," he grins. "But if we do, we'd need to figure out if we've got operational shields, because if we don't disable those ships on the first volley, I don't know what we should expect by way of retaliation."

His expression sobers as he considers the options, and he looks around at the others. "What do you think? I figure the less things we have to focus on at a time, the better. Maybe have our buddies back at the ships keep an eye on things outside while we handle business with the invaders in here."
beholding_archivist: Do not take. Thanks. (I suppose this was a bad idea)

Jon simply sighs. "It's just a map, Cayde, not an instruction manual." Though he lets his attention be drawn back to it while the Exo addresses the rest of their group. Jon sure wouldn't mind an actual manual for the ship...

Though Cayde isn't wrong. Their group is the one quite likely carrying the most weapons. Dealing with the invaders should reasonably fall onto them.
deal_me_in: (That's good right?)

"...I'll give our friends a call so we can touch base on this. Instruction manuals would be great, but it'd probably be in squiggly pictures and we're running on a tight schedule. Shields will probably be most beneficial for us, in any case. We can always figure out where to fly after we've cleaned up. Sound good?"

Cayde grins at Jon, and then at the others. "...unless anyone else wants to ring our guys up, of course."

Keith stayed to the back for the time being, taking in as much of the bridge as he could while he vaguely listened to the discussion going on between Cayde and Jon. Mainly, he was just looking for something that might be familiar or at least something he could figure out somehow. Considering his current "specialty", thanks to the orbs back on Agra-10, he was figuring he'd recognize a helm panel if he found it, so that was kind of his focus for the moment. When he heard Cayde's question, he turned back to face him.

"Go ahead," he said with a shrug. It had been Cayde's idea, and Jon seemed to have the specialty for reading this stuff, so having the two of them work with Tony and crew sounded find to Keith.
