I Can Fly Anything. Pt. 2

The mission could have been to fly out and pick up their laundry and Poe would have been eagerly ready to take off so long as it meant flying again. Really flying. But this was a much heftier mission, whether they were rushing out to the Agrii's aid or right into a trap they had to be ready, and Poe made sure anyone who chose to come along understood what they could be up against. He wasn't going to fault anyone for staying behind when they were going in blind.

Once they've set of Poe spends most of his time in the cockpit, even when he doesn't need to, it just feels right being back behind the controls again. BB-8 and CC-9 wander about looking to make friends, occasionally doubling back to make sure their Master actually takes a break and remembers to eat. You might catch him during one of those times, or maybe just the droids.

[Rayla wasn't sure about these 'droids'. They seemed like weird magic to her, animated metal... metal wasn't even one of the elements, which, to her, meant dark magic. So she was trying her best to avoid them. But, apparently, droids were like cats, and Rayla avoiding them seemed to make her a more attractive target.

With no access to a Moon source, it was hard for her to use her invisibility power. But she was still pretty sneaky... when not crammed into a tiny ship. She could be found sneaking around trying to avoid the droids. Ask her what she was doing?]

[The droids thought this was a great game, hunting after Rayla, patrolling the ship as a team, pausing now and then to chatter to one another or scan for life signs. They didn't understand the discomfort they were causing her.

Poe could guess though, happening upon her as she struggled to avoid them.]

...They won't hurt you. They're just playing.

But... [Rayla huffed, almost annoyed that she'd been caught.] What are they? [She crossed her arms in frustration and distrust. She didn't want to have to explain herself, since a lot of people didn't seem to understand the whole dark magic vs elemental magic thing... not that she was all that great at explaining it, to be quite honest.]

[That's...a strange question, but one Poe's getting more used to in this place. Apparently they aren't as common place in most of these other worlds.]

Droids. ...mechanical beings, with programming or artificial intelligence to run them.

[Rayla frowned. Only part of that made sense, and she shook her head.]

What does all that even mean? It seems a lot more like magic... and anything that's not elemental magic is dark magic, and that's... [She looked unsure. It was bad, it was so bad... but this wasn't home. Things were different here, and she had to keep reminding herself of that.]

Everything's so strange.

[He crouches down, and with BB-8's permission he opens up one of his access plates to show the mechanics inside.]

The Force? [Nope. not connecting it, but Rayla did crouch down cautiously to see what he was showing her, at least. Her eyes widened a little.] That's a lot. [Cautiously, she leaned in a bit to poke at it with one of her fingers.] Is it alive?
