A: Hollow Ships

[ Cloud has only ever seen one rocket before and seen space for a short period of time. After being here for a while, he wanted to go exploring towards the spaceships. Cid would have gotten a kick out of them and probably would want to know everything about it. Cloud's curiosity was mostly to venture out, look at them, maybe learn something. He's quiet as he stays outside of the ships, silently looking over the shape and make of them. ]

Shinra would have a field day with this.

[ It's a small side comment, particularly stated at no one. Cloud could be surprised by anyone willing to listen in to his private side conversations with himself out loud. He goes up to one of the doors and places a gloved hand upon it. However, the door doesn't respond nor does it open. He tilts his head to the side while lifting an eyebrow. Interesting. ]

[ When the feed comes on, Cloud's eyes are downward. He doesn't seem all that happy about recording. It's easier and quicker and harder to not hit send. ]

My name is Cloud Strife. How can someone find spare parts for a motorcycle if they ever need them?

[ A question that may be relevant. He pauses a little as his eyebrows knit towards the center. Cloud has to continue to make connections even here. So, he's going to also offer in the help he's been used to doing back home. ]

Does anyone need or want someone to make deliveries?

[ Want to do something not listed? Go for it! He'll be hanging around the hotel. Maybe you can catch him around on his motorcycle since he will be driving slowly with it at first. PM me if you want to hash out or discuss anything. ]

That is one option. There are, of course, other points. Medicine. Agriculture. Communications. Piloting of the ships that have been given to us. There are options. You are not bound to one just because I need additional hands.

[ Reeve did his research to pick probably one of the better options for him. ] I can see why you picked engineering out of that. The other options don't really interest me.

[Oh, Reeve hasn't bothered to take one yet, so it's really a moot point. This was just what he thought Cloud might put up with.]

I figured it might make you better able to tend to your bike here, maybe figure out how to change the power supply to something readily available.

Good thinking ahead, Reeve. If I do take on this technology and be able to try something like. I have never done real modifications on that scale before.

[Maybe not the knowledge, but definitely the skills. And with that said he gets them moving back toward the hospital again. And soon enough he's got them to the door of the hospital. Where Reeve just... stops. Stops and stares at the door with a sigh.]

[ Cloud goes quiet at Reeve being kind to him. It's been a while since he's talked to Reeve. He knows what he did with keeping Geostigma a secret from them wasn't right. He stops by the door while looking at the other. ]

Are you not coming in then? I guess you are busy doing the rebuilding thing.

[plate_builder]

[It's not that, and the way Reeve looks at the door, clearly nervous, may speak to that.]

I... Don't know that I should go in there. Things became complicated last time.

[backoff]

[ Cloud raises an eyebrow while crossing his arms loosely against his chest. ]

How did things get complicated in a hospital?

It's about the people there.

[He looks forlorn, and then looks back at Cloud, trying to smile.]

I suppose I'm not very good with interpersonal interactions these days.

[backoff]

And you think I am?

[ He gives a small smile back at Reeve while shaking his head. Cloud wasn't going to pry into Reeve's personal business. ]

I can go in by myself. [ He gives a nod to him and says quietly. ] Thanks.

No. But... I've made complications of my own personal life in the last handful of days. I suppose I've decided avoidance may solve my problem.

[But... the needs of his friends should matter more.]

I'll go in with you. I'm sorry. I'm being silly.

[backoff]

[ Cloud contemplates over what he's about to tell Reeve or ask Reeve. It's not really in a teasing matter since he could absolutely do a job such as this too. ]

Do I need to play bodyguard? [ He raises an eyebrow not sure what these complications could even be with Reeve. ]

Only if you're comfortable and want to.

[Reeve can't help but laugh at the offer.]

I am without materia right now, so yes, that could be appreciated. However I do not believe Tony or Jon would seek to injure me. Well, I don't think Jon would injure me now, and Tony just wouldn't. We can go in.

[backoff]

[ Cloud smirks a bit at that laugh. At least he could get Reeve to laugh. ]

I don't want you getting hurt, Reeve. We are friends. [ He opens the door a bit while also saying. ] And you know I protect my friends.

[ Cloud goes into the hospital. Hopefully it's a quick trip since he wouldn't want to linger too long. ]

You have no need to be so concerned for my physical safety.

[Only his heart needs protected, and Cloud can't do that. With a sigh he follows Cloud, more than willing to help seek out the needed supplies.]

[backoff]

All I need is a few bandages and then we can be out of here. Maybe we won't run into Jon or Tony. If you want to provide more details on them, that's up to you.

[ Cloud has heard Tony's name get brought up twice now. But it's not really something he's going to linger on. He's not good at telling people he has crushes on them or his feelings in general. Reeve's going to have to try protecting his own heart. ]

Tony start is... like me. But younger, more arrogant, and an amazing genius.

[And there might be a touch of fondness in his voice as he guides Cloud to seek out supplies.]

Jon... looks like a stereotypical librarian. But male.

[backoff]

[ Cloud is thankful for the guidance because he would be certainly lost over where to even start to look. He wouldn't have minded that being here alone scouting for supplies. ]

So... they're both smart.

[ It's a good connection to make between the both of them. ]

Jon may be smart in some ways. But Tony is a genius. They're likely involved.

[With each other. He finally heads to the right door and opens it. And look, there are still some. Not much though.]

There is a device called a replicator as well. IT could make bandages.

[backoff]

[ He looks over at Reeve pressing his lips together. ]

You know I'm not too good at these things. I will listen though. If you need to talk about it.

[ Cloud can sure listen and be quiet about it. Reeve may need it and he was here. ]

Yeah, I heard about it. It's in a small building by the hotel. I'll be sure to use it now that I have some of these. I know supplies will be in short supply.

[No, he won't dare ask Cloud for that. Because... He doesn't think Cloud is really a good person to give him a listen on this.]

We're still learning how to make things here. But your need will be important to address. You... could talk to Jon. He's a doctor.

[backoff]

[ He's not mad but he offered at least. Cloud can't feel guilty about that. ]

Do you think Jon will be the best person to talk to about my condition?

[No, probably not, but...]

I don't know other people with the medical skill set.

[backoff]

I will ask him if it comes up.

[ Otherwise, the people here don't need to be in a panic or worry about him. Cloud can easily take care of himself for the most part. He could easily pass out somewhere if not careful. But he will be as careful as he needs to be. ]

That seems the best plan. And Cloud...

[Reeve pauses, reaching out to touch Cloud's untainted arm.]

Don't give up. When you go back, you're probably only a few hours from a cure. Trust me on that. I've seen it myself. You're still strong, even if you may not see it.

[Oh, and the other thing. Reeve bites his lip.]

I don't know if you've had it yet or not, but expect a lecture from Tifa if you haven't already. She gave us a bit of a twist about it when the team came together to help. I think I'd rather be on the receiving end of her fists than her disapproving lectures.
