Hey my dudes!

[Here's everyone's favorite Exo- okay, so for most here he's likely the only Exo anyone's ever met- strolling about within one of the many abandoned structures of the city. This one's got some strange gears and machinery of some sort along the back. There are a few cracks in the walls that have given way completely, offering a glimpse of the rest of the city beyond. He must be somewhere fairly high up, given the view.]

So. Important questions. ...well all right, maybe not important but anyway-

One, do we have like...a bar or a tavern, or whatever people like to call 'em nowadays- a pub? We back to that? Yeah- local hangout- we got one of those? Now I realize we don't seem to be a whole lotta people here, but having a watering hole to just enjoy a drink and sit or something in between our trying to solve world problems doesn't sound like a bad thing to have.

Two...

[He's wandered over to some makeshift shelving unit where he's got a few bottles of whatever drinks had been served at that last Agrii-sponsored party. It seemed a shame to let them go to waste, after all! He picks one of the bottles up, watching the red liquid as he turns it from side to side.]

Drinks. Obviously they're available. In connection to question one, a bar's gotta have drinks. So did the Agrii just make these pop out of nowhere or is there a better way to go about making this stuff?

Do you want me to write you a tutorial on producing alcohol?

That sounds great! Provided we have something to distill.

I'm thinking those red berry things from the party make this drink, but judging from what I saw then, I think they're pretty potent as is.

Now why would I want non-consumable alcohol at a bar? ...okay to be fair I doubt it'd make much difference for me but I'm sure it wouldn't be appreciated by others lacking stomachs of steel. Or...whatever it's made of.

[ This is a very audible wince. ]

Please don't call me that. I mean-

You will very likely build the necessary equipment, I'm afraid. I know how the process works and how to adjust it for different results and what to keep an eye out to not poison anyone.

Also.. You would be surprised what some people are willing to drink.

...point.

But yeah, figured as much. Got loads of time anyway, I may as well. You got a manual for that too? I have a vague idea of how things work, but putting it into practice is another matter entirely and I'd feel really bad if I ended up poisoning people.

Give me a day, maybe two and I should have it all written up again. It's just... It's been a few years.

We do not- though there is moonshine being made out in the greenhouse. Not the best alcohol in the- well, maybe it is the best in this world.

[Altair might not show up much himself, much preferring to stop by Eli's kitchen, but still. It is a very good idea.]

Moonshine? Guess I'd be more surprised if no attempts were made at all.

Right? This place is too big and spread out and there's hardly enough folks here for us to keep bein' strangers.

Oh, I... I'm good. And we're making progress, I suppose. It's slow and tedious and... I- I'm.... It's progress.

[ He's just not sure how much actual help he is at the hospital. Altair has it all very thoroughly covered. ]

What about yourself? Aside from planning to get everyone drunk, I mean.

People do tend to get creative when starved for entertainment.

True. Of course, with the danger involved, I'm sure I'll eventually get to meet everyone, given that I work at the hospital...

[And people being reckless and all...]

Progress is always good! Kind of hard not to make progress so long as you're doing something, I think.

[He laughs.]

I mean, drinking's not required. ...but it'd make things more fun. Maybe.

This is true. No one's gotten desperate enough for a glownie rodeo at least.

[He tilts his head.]

Oh, you do? Heh, that's kind of a dark outlook, but I can't say it's not realistic.

I will simply assume this is your way of saying you are making friends.

I'd love to stay optimistic, but most of all I'd love to be prepared for anything that might be thrown at us.

[... He's trying to be, too.

Having help now, well, helps.] Honestly I am very much hoping I don't see anyone there because of danger or injuries.

Has um...anything happened so far that's required hospitalization?

I am glad to hear that.

So which part of the city do you plan to turn into this... Hangout? Given that most of it still lies in ruins there is still a lot to choose from.

Eh, not sure yet. Wanted to make sure I wasn't stepping on anyone's toes first. But yeah, there's a lotta open real estate out there so I think the problem would just be figuring out the best place for one.

If you haven't chosen one yet, I am certain you will find the most suitable place. And quite frankly I can't think of anyone who would mind seeing yet another ruin turned into a place to visit.

Sometimes ruins have their own charm without being renovated. But I guess we're not exactly hurting for places like that around here...

So I hear you're telling people you're concerned about my wellbeing in the instance of another storm. And by people I mean one weirdo in particular. Not that I'm not touched by your concern.

No, I genuinely think we can do with a few more whole looking buildings.

[ Buuut then there is a moment of silence. ]

I.... oh. Him, right.... I- I mean...

It came up. The storms, you know... It just.... I'm worried. Not only about you, but... But...

I'm sorry if he came to bother you because of it.

Oh, nah. I guess in this instance I was bothering him first, making sure he didn't kill himself trying to break in a glownie.

There's a guy obsessed with technology. I guess I have a better idea of why now, but I still don't appreciate being eyeballed like I'm the latest model vehicle on the market. -and it's not that I don't have my worries about if something does happen, storm or not? But the idea of being poked at and taken apart just to figure out how I run does not jive with me.

Oh dear. He... He didn't suggest something like that, did he?

[ Which is entirely possible, considering who this is about. ]

....the glownie, though... is it okay?

[ Maaaaaybe he should be asking about Tony as well, but... You know. Innocent animal being faced with that man's sheer stubbornness and bad ideas? ]

Well not exactly, but I'm sure he'd love to. He's got this...ah, what'd he call it, transhumanist...bio-something- Anyway, he's into improvement of humanity by use of technology and I'm a walking pile of tantalizing zeroes and ones and scientific unknown that he'd love to unravel.

[Jon's question gets an amused laugh.]

Oh yeah, she's fine. She knows how to take care of herself and wasn't about to let someone green ride her. Of course she almost flattened him because he went ahead and tried cutting out the steps in between to jump on her back.

[ Aaaaand another bout of silence. Tony... Dammit. Like Jon needs to worry about that guy now! And what is this madness about improvement of humanity? But... okay. One burning trash pile at a time. ]

Is... Is he alright, though? I mean- He didn't get hurt during this?

[ No one was brought to the hospital as far as he knows, but he could have just missed it as well. It's not like there is much record keeping being done at the moment. ]
