[Hux appears to be resting back in some hotel room, looking exhausted and bored at the same time. He's wearing his uniform despite it being tattered and blood stained, refusing to wear regular clothing.]
It would seem that some point during the middle of the Storms....I went home. I am not ready to discuss what happened back there. [Hux can't help but suppress a shudder at the thought.] I had been among the Drift Fleet and Agra 10 for quite some time so it seemed strange to suddenly go back home.
It was also jarring to wake up in a strange hospital on a planet called Risa? When did we travel here? I have missed quite a bit....
Altair, I apologize for leaving so soon. I know you had been busy working at the hospital. Is Millicent okay? I'm sure she must have been distraught of my absence. I'm glad she didn't go home with me.

Re: action;
[Appreciating the help, Hux limped back toward his bed, exhausted.]
Thank you.
action;
[...] It's a long story.
action;
I hope you killed the person that did that.
action;
[Long story indeed. And honestly, very complicated too.]
action;
You're going to have to tell me that one day.
action;
[He moves to join him after kicking his boots off, honestly just happy to be with Hux again. It feels... Safe, to be with him.] His mother just... Made a convincing argument that there was something left in him worth saving.
[His expression is perhaps a touch sad.] Some might think me a fool for believing her, but... Perhaps I simply wished that my own mother would have done the same for me.
action;
[Hux moved closer to Altair and rested his head against his chest. Already he felt more comfortable and at ease having the Chiss back.]
action;
[It's not really something he's spoken about a lot.
Nor is it something he likes thinking about. Still, thinking about it now, he can't help but move a hand up to touch the scar across his eye.
It is, after all, the only physical reminder he has of his own family. That they hated him enough to physically attack him. He doesn't think he's mentioned that to Hux though, and unless asked about it, he's not going to.
And honestly, Hux has probably come to that conclusion just from him touching the scar, anyway.] I guess that's why I couldn't stand to throw that strong love she had for her son back in her face.
[Too bad about Vaylin though, he supposes. That the son was saved, but not the daughter. But everything that happened truly is a conversation for another day.]
action;
I just remember that I had been young when a bounty hunter came to collect my father and me from my father's Academy to deliver to the group of remaining loyal people of the Empire. My mother wasn't important....not to mention my father is married to another woman....
I guess I can understand why you felt strongly about the situation....but it's still upsetting to see that you had been treated as a trophy display. Can't say I won't hurt her if I saw her....
action;
He hums softly, moving his hand to stroke Hux's hair.] I can't say it was fun, but... Senya saw potential for good in her son. And she was right. Arcann is a strong ally now, and loyal as they come.
[He doesn't see Senya or Arcann ever betraying him.] They had suffered too. They were Vitiate's family. The Sith Emperor. I told you about... What he did to Ziost. Had I been raised by Vitiate, I'd probably have been a monster, too.
action;
[Hux quietly said as he closed his eyes, exhausted.]
action;
[It wasn't like he hadn't heard that before.
Still, if he was to be a leader, if he was to ensure a prosperous future, then he needed to be able to believe in the best of others. He didn't want to be a dictator, he wanted to be open to building a better future alongside his people, rather than being above them all.
A Sith unlike a Sith.
These are not the actions of a proper Sith Lord was something Vitiate had once told him. But had he been a proper Sith Lord, then nothing would ever change. And had he been a proper Sith Lord, he didn't think he'd be here like this with Hux.
He smiled slightly, continuing to stroke his hair.] Are you tired?
[He does look exhausted.] You can sleep, you know. I'll be here with you when you wake up...
action;
[Hux drowsily replied with some uncertainty and lifted his head to study Altair's expression for confirmation.]
action;
[He smiles at him, nodding his head for extra confirmation.] I'm not going anywhere.
action;
[He gave a small smile before placing his head back on Altair's chest and promptly fell asleep.]
