[Hux appears to be resting back in some hotel room, looking exhausted and bored at the same time. He's wearing his uniform despite it being tattered and blood stained, refusing to wear regular clothing.]

It would seem that some point during the middle of the Storms....I went home. I am not ready to discuss what happened back there. [Hux can't help but suppress a shudder at the thought.] I had been among the Drift Fleet and Agra 10 for quite some time so it seemed strange to suddenly go back home.

It was also jarring to wake up in a strange hospital on a planet called Risa? When did we travel here? I have missed quite a bit....

Altair, I apologize for leaving so soon. I know you had been busy working at the hospital. Is Millicent okay? I'm sure she must have been distraught of my absence. I'm glad she didn't go home with me.

[Tattered clothing. Blood. He looks okay, and yet... Those two things, along with his words. To say Altair is worried would be an understatement.]

Where are you? Can I come see you?

[He knows his distress has to be obvious, but...] I... Don't know where Millicent is, I'm afraid. I went home, too.

I can find her, though.

Some hotel.....I'm not sure what it's called. The hospital sent me here after I had been healed.

...You had went home too? Please, stop by and thank you.

[Video clicks off, and it doesn't take entirely too long before there's a knock at Hux's door.] Hux?

[Best to call out for him, to let him know that it's friend rather than foe.]

[Hux, tenses at the knock of his door, but relaxed immediately when he heard it was Altair. He knew it had to be Altair, but it was a reaction he couldn't hide regardless. He got out of his bed and made his way to unlock and open the door.]

Altair, it's good to see you. [He notes that Altair does look older and the fancy new outfit he's wearing.] It seems that you may have had better fate then I did.

[Altair is sure his worry is plain to see. He's doing nothing to hide it, after all.]

Are you... [He looks him over.

He doesn't look hurt, but the blood and the tattered clothing, of course Altair's thoughts are going to the worst possible conclusion.] I...

Should I not ask what happened? [He's worried and he's... Angry that Hux had gotten hurt and he wasn't there to protect him from it. Angry at himself, even if he knows it was outside of his control.]

[He shut the door behind them and lead them over to a chair. He hesitantly placed a hand along, Altair's cheek for a brief moment before dropping his hand back to his side.]

I know what you're thinking, Altair. There's nothing you could have done. By right's I shouldn't be alive....but I suppose the Agri believed they could still use me. [His expression darkened a bit as he frowned.] So that's the only reason why I'm here. Granted I don't understand why when I failed in everything I had set out to aim for.

I should have been there. I should have...

[But it's not up to them, is it? They can't do anything.

Whether they stay or they go, live or die, it's all up to the Agrii. It's unfair. And he's angry. So very, very angry. But this isn't about him, so he'll work his anger out on his own time. All that matters is supporting Hux.] I'm sorry you had to go through what you went through alone.

[He reaches out as though to grab a hold of his hand, hesitates, and lets it drop back to his side. Best to let Hux be the one to initiate any physical contact.]

I lost everything to that man child. I watched what I built and worked hard for be turned into some kind of twisted and dark monster....

[He clinched his fists and looked away. There was a pause before he made an effort to turn the subject.]

But you...it seems like you have fared well.

Is he the one who hurt you?

[If so, he's going to need to have Words with said man child. Regardless of what time he's from.]

I... Became Emperor. It is a long story though.

[And it's probably obvious enough that it wasn't necessarily because he wanted to become Emperor.]

Allegiant General Pryde was the one. Granted he adds just as more insult if it had been the man child.

[Hux's eyes widened a bit in surprise to the news.]

I believe you would be better then who we had as Emperor. However, it doesn't sound like it was a goal you were actually aiming for.

Someone to murder, regardless, should he show up here.

[Slowly and painfully, at that.]

It wasn't, no. But after the war, I saw no other choice. To reject the chance to rule and think that the galaxy would fix itself would be... Naive, to say the least.

Any other path would have led to chaos.

[Chaos followed regardless, of course. But he's been doing his best.]

Often the ones who don't want that position are usually the ones meant for the position. You would have been someone I would have willingly followed and be proud to call you my Emperor.

[To emphasis the point Hux stiffly dropped to his knees to bow before Altair.]

[There's a brief flash of panic that runs through him when Hux bows before him, and for a moment he's not sure how to react.

How is he supposed to react, after all, to this?

He doesn't want to be above him. Not in any way. After all, he's seen Hux as his equal ever since getting to know him.

Moving to kneel with him, so he can look into his eyes, he smiles ever so slightly.] I wouldn't have wanted you to call me your Emperor. Had you been with me, we would have taken the throne together.

[Hux looked at Altair startled by the response and movement. When he did answer, his voice shook slightly.]

--Even though I had failed at everything I've worked for? I think you may be making a mistake with that decision.

I don't think so.

[That's not just him being in love speaking. Getting to know Hux, he's come to respect him. Deeply.

He's come to know a man who is a hard worker, a man who doesn't give up, who is dedicated, diligent, and intelligent.]

I think that you did everything in your power to keep all you've worked for to fall apart. The man I've gotten to know, that I've come to care for so deeply, is dedicated, diligent, rational, and intelligent.

All fine qualities in a ruler.

Had you been with me, in my time, I see the both of us making fine rulers, together. Better than I can be alone.

[He could feel himself blushing to a deep crimson. He wasn't used to such high praise and really didn't believe himself worthy of such a statement.

At one point of time he was considered haughty, but after being kicked down so many times in recent events....it had been replaced with a low confidence.]

If only I had been in your world.

When we fix things for the Agrii... Perhaps... Perhaps it will be possible for both of us to return to my time.

[The Agrii have to be able to do that for them.

They just have to.

Altair won't leave Hux behind, or let him be sent back to his death. It's not something he can accept.]

....I can only hope so. It's the only thing I want as of this time.

[He allowed for a small smile to show before he pulled Altair close to hesitantly kiss him. He didn't want those kind words to go unappreciated. and truly Altair had been one of the few people to have every really supported him in everything he did. While others questioned him for it.]

[To say that the kiss was unexpected would be an understatement.

There was a small moment of shock, unsure of how to react, before he hums softly, kissing him back, eyes closing. He pulls back after a moment and opens his eyes again to look at the other man with a smile.

He's unsure of what to say, and he's pretty sure that he's gone completely purple, but it's fine. He can stand blushing a little.] I will make it so. No matter what it takes.

[If he has to find every Agrii and fight every Agrii to make it happen, he will.]

[He could hear his own heart pounding, unsure of how Altair would reciprocate. His eyes widened briefly in response before closing as he accepted the kiss in return. His own red face matching, Altair's now purple face.]

I'll hold you to that promise.

Good. I want you to hold me to it.

[He smiles, still kind of unsure what to do with himself, but...

Well, one step at a time, he supposes.] Once you feel up to it, we should... Take some advantage of being on a vacation planet, no?

It is the perfect place to go out on a date.

[Why yes, he is asking him out.]

That's what this place is for? A vacation?

....

I would like that.

[He then moved to stand back up, but was having a few issues with his bad leg. He looked to Altair for reluctantly for some assistance.]

Seems like it, yes.

[Not necessarily the sort of place he'd have chosen to go on vacation, but it is what it is.

He stands- and helps Hux up when the other man looks to him for assistance. He's... Still angry with himself, that he wasn't there to protect him. He knows it's unreasonable anger, but it's still there.

And he'll deal with it himself.] The storm on Agra 10 wasn't too long ago, apparently. Feels like an eternity for me...

How long have you been gone? I was gone for I think....a couple of years. But it sounds like here only for a week or so.

[Appreciating the help, Hux limped back toward his bed, exhausted.]

I was home for over seven years. Though admittedly I was frozen in carbonite for five of them.

[...] It's a long story.
