[Event] Of Stowaways and Strife
WHO: The Wanderer, The Agrii Leaders, The Ship AI, You!
WHERE: All Across The Agrii Ship
WHAT: A Mingle Log For Developing Situations
WHEN: January 15th Onward
WARNINGS: Violence, Bloodshed
NOTES: Please see the New Tick Part Two FAQ
Day 1 – January 15th – The Stowaway Revealed | Open to up to three He Rows in one thread with NPC involvement
Those who happen to be present in the Shuttle Bay of the Agrii Ship early in the afternoon would be the first to be treated to an unexpected sight. Perhaps even a familiar one if they were present at the correct time back in September. Which means it begins with a large bundle of what looks like twigs and sticks curled up not unlike a tumbleweed rolling out of a He Row ship shuttle and across the large bay. Thankfully its timing is not one where a large number of Agrii are present in the Shuttle Bay. There are just enough to look curiously at the image presented.
Until, of course, the tumbleweed stops suddenly. Because then it unfolds. Uncurls. Rises up. The Wanderer untangles until the three legged plantkin stands tall. Well, tall for itself. Next to the height and bulk of an Agrii it looks frightfully fragile. Perhaps especially so with the way that the few Agrii present look at it with clear fear in their eyes. Maybe that even makes sense, given the fact that other than the He Rows they have deliberately invited, the last time a non-Agrii was present on their ship, it was an attack.
So, of course, all metaphorical hell breaks loose. One Agrii faints dead away in shock. Another shrieks some high pitched note of fear and runs out into the halls. That’s definitely going to go well. Yet another, of course wearing a faction token in a specific shade of orange, gives an ululating sounds that is undeniably a warcry, grabs his ‘weapon’ (if you can call a heavy cooking spoon a weapon) and charges at the plantkin.
Needless to say, it’s an interspecies incident in the making. One that has the Ship’s AI letting out an alarm and requesting He Row intervention in the Shuttle Bay.
Strangely enough, the Wanderer seems unmoved by the display of pending violence rushing toward it. It did get through the zombie storm after all. Or maybe it just doesn’t understand the concept of true violence being visited upon it by another sentient being.
Maybe someone, or someones, should step in anyway.
Day 2 – January 16th – A Council Session Gone Wrong | Open to up to three He Rows in one thread with NPC involvement, preference for at least one He Row with Medical or those with first aid/medic training. Thread likely to split into medical and containment focuses.
Timely intervention by the He Rows was decidedly a saving grace in the situation. Thankfully the combination of quick thinking, willing hands, and their powerful reputation managed to defuse a situation before it got too destructive. Of course from there the question had to be what to do with the Wanderer, whom the Agrii overwhelmingly seemed to react to with fear or distrust. The Wanderer, to its credit, seemed to meet everything it had encountered thus far with a benign interest. And, thankfully, it had its own supplies on hand for any damages that would be dealt to its own person, seeing as it was unlikely the medical facilities here were suited to tending to a plantkin.
From there the decision for how to proceed seemed obvious. The Wanderer wished to observe. The Agrii leaders needed to discuss the situation and how to handle the reaction of their people to it. Interviews and interrogations needed to be had. All four Agrii leaders, Te Mi included, insisted that this initial discussion must take place without He Row involvement. The Ship’s AI promised to oversee these discussions and report back to He Rows immediately on all relevant information once conclusions were drawn.
So when it comes down to it the intercomm kicking on the next morning at the same time that He Row devices relayed the announcement isn’t at first a shock. No, it’s the content that is the concern.
Which only makes more sense when the first He Row arrives on the scene and sees the chaos. Seeay, Te Ra, and Ga Re are doing their best to hold Mu Ly back while avoiding the pair of bloody butter knives in two of the angry, snarling Agrii’s hands. Meanwhile An Nu is holding a fallen Ny Ak in her arms, Ny Ak’s already typically pale purple skin shades lighter than normal. Te Mi is busy with his hands bundled up in his blue sash, pulled from his body to be pressed firmly against multiple parts of Ny Ak’s torso. The youth’s hands and sash, as well as Ny Ak’s goggles and Te Ra’s face, are colored by spots and smears of a dark purple-pink fluid that is clearly Agrii blood.
And across from Te Mi rests The Wanderer, which has in its hands a large woven satchel (where could it have hidden this) and is taking out some faintly glowing moss.
“Come help,” The Wanderer calls out. “This One knows not how to heal Speaking Animals and has no strength to restrain.”
The Agrii themselves, save for An Nu, are not talking. There are noises of struggle in the battle to restrain the still snarling Mu Ly, scared noises from Te Mi, and pained whimpers from Ny Ak. An Nu merely repeats something over and over again in the Agrii language, with pain and desperation in her voice.
Day 3 Forward – January 17th Onward – Social Strife | A general prompt for all He Rows to possibly build their own prompts off of.
Something was triggered in that moment yesterday. Maybe it was the Ship AI’s desperate plea. Maybe it was the fact that no attempt by the Ship to isolate the Agrii actually succeeded in keeping all Agrii out of the halls when Ny Ak was transported to the Medical Wing, or the other Agrii leaders shown to appropriate places of safety or confinement in apparent states of shock or rage. Or perhaps it is just that word travels quickly, and things were read between lines. What is clear is that a catalyst was introduced into a closed system, and the orange faction Agrii clearly saw a signal in the snap that occurred.
The posturing and almost fights He Rows saw from New Tick until the 15th have changed. It’s no longer just implication, there’s action behind it. Purple and unaffiliated Agrii move in groups, trying to avoid isolation. Orange-faction Agrii find ways to prowl the corridors and of course, start conflict with any isolated Agrii or groups they feel they can take. Sometimes it’s one on one. Sometimes it’s two on one. Sometimes it’s one or two on seven. Either way it’s clear that each time Orange is the aggressor. And it’s just as clear that the other Agrii don’t know how to handle this change or properly defend themselves, leaving it to the He Rows to intervene.
Thankfully the Ship’s AI is still trying to do its best to protect its crew even though it is clearly still distraught over Ny Ak’s status. Alerts go out regularly to Security rated He Rows or any He Rows who have shown competence and willingness to break up the fights. It does its best to isolate any Orange-Faction caught starting violence in their rooms, but it seems like they keep getting out to start more trouble. Some Agrii even seem to be switching to orange bands just to protect themselves, even if they don’t seem as eager to commit violence.
It’s often worse with the rare instances of uncommon green-banded Agrii that frequent the Under Engineering area getting cornered. They seem driven to continue their work to protect the Ship’s AI and preserve and repair areas. To learn, as it were, in the image of their leader. The leader they also have taken to holding a vigil for outside of the Medical Wing. These are the attacks that can become the most brutal, and send the Ship AI screaming the loudest and most urgent summons for help to.
The only Agrii group that does not get directly touched by the violence are those Blue-Faction that are clearly still young. Older members of Blue, and there are more of them now, are not immune to violent Orange outbursts. The youths, though, still seem sacred and protected from all sides, and walk the halls unharrassed. They serve to deliver meals to restrained Oranges or hiding adults of other factions. They do their best to walk with He Rows to help them find sources of trouble faster. They assist in every way they can imagine, even though Te Mi is not seen among them, as like An Nu he never leaves Ny Ak’s side.
Oh, and then there is The Wanderer. Because of course there is. The non-orange Agrii still seem not to know what to do with it, and the Oranges posture aggressively toward it. Thankfully the Agrii have proven time and time again to not be able to catch up with the Wanderer when it chooses to ball up and roll away at speed. So that particular prey is rather elusive, especially as it does not risk going into the water. So it lives up to its name, walking the halls, exploring, touching things, making notes, and leaving an air of unease in its wake. Not that it seems to notice. The Wanderer seems to be having the time of its life, stopping Agrii and He Rows both at random to ask them questions.

Help! He Rows help! He has hurt my friend! Mu Ly is hurting him! Help! Urgent help! Mu Ly is hurting him!Overwrought emotions are not the normal purview of the ship’s AI. This outburst is… Well, it is as emotional as the synthesized voice can manage. It’s clearly upsetting the Agrii in the corridors as well, though the ship seems to be dealing with that. Any time an Agrii flees into a room or hall that no He Rows would need to access to get to the Gathering place, the AI shuts the door and seals it. Is it protecting its crew, trying to prevent something worse, or just desperate to get help for whoever their ‘friend’ is? Either way the summons is clearly urgent and there is a desperate need to reach the Gathering place.
Which only makes more sense when the first He Row arrives on the scene and sees the chaos. A Council Session Gone Wrong | Open to up to three He Rows in one thread
-This thread is open to the first three He Rows 'on the scene', but we ask that at least one He Row involved have either the Medical Datapoint or some background in medicine or emergency medical care. We especially stress the need for at least one person with medical/first aid/emergency care experience for this thread.
-None of these He Rows should be played by someone who has already joined The Stowaway Revealed.
-Tag order will progress in a consistent order unless one player asks to be passed. If you are joining the thread, please first comment on the Part Two FAQ thread to let people know you are joining into the tag order.
-If something comes up and you need to bow out or be skipped, communicate that to the others involved.
-When full PC involvement is reached and the thread reaches an appropriate point, Mod Churby will work to try and split this into two threads. Communicate with each other and her to figure out the best split.

One Agrii leader down and bleeding, surrounded by two others as well as the Plantkin while the apparent attacker is barely held back by the three remaining members of the Agrii Council. That alone is a detail that sticks out to Wesker as he enters the room, his black coat trailing after him. They wouldn't be able to hold Mu Ly back forever and then there would be more than one Agrii leader injured. Hence preventing further injury takes priority at the moment.
Mu Ly's snarl is met with the emotionless stare of a pair of mirrored sunglasses as Wesker comes to stand between him and Ny Ak. A single shot rips loudly from the gun held in Wesker's hand, splitting the air and hopefully interrupting the tension in it as the handcrafted bullet buries itself in the sand just before Mu Ly's feet. If Wesker's assumption is corrept, the Agrii should have very little experience with actual firearms. And he intends to use that.
"Enough." He states sternly.
no subject
Or so it seems for a moment. Just long enough for the others to find their attention and grip slackening. It gives Mu Ly the edge needed, perhaps by instinct or anger alone, to jerk away from their grip. Sure, he doesn't advance any further toward Wesker. His eyes are riveted on the gun after all. But he's still armed, still baring his teeth, and he's watching the man with...
With something the Agrii haven't presented before. A predatory glint in his eyes. The look of a natural hunter, or warrior perhaps, regarding a dangerous and likely superior foe. Trying to figure out if they were willing to test the superior force.
no subject
Whatever it is, it brings Leo running down the corridors and barreling into the Gathering place, skidding to a halt just in time for the gunshot.
He flinches, a natural response to the sound, but gathers himself enough to take in the scene. Wesker is here - great, that's definitely not going to escalate anything - and one of the Agrii are down, another one standing armed and ready, purple blood on the knives in their hands.
Leo draws his own swords, though he keeps them held loose at his side, for the moment.
"Whoa-kay," he says, stepping forward. "This is getting out of hand. Which is crazy, since you guys have so many of them."
no subject
BD-1 hoots in concern as he peers over the Jedi's shoulder from where he clings to a strap.
"Yeah, I hear you, BeeDee." He lets the droid down, BD skittering over towards where those assisting Ny Ak are so he can offer a stim.
Cal hasn't drawn any weapon though the hilt of his lightsaber hangs from his belt, his attention falling upon Mu Ly, not liking the sensation he gets through the Force, a feeling he's all too familiar with from other encounters. He's ready and will move to restrain Mu Ly with aid of the Force the moment he senses the intent.
"Mu Ly, care to explain your actions? Pretty sure weapons shouldn't be allowed for a discussion." Actually, maybe he'll just take care of that problem right now, lifting a hand in almost a casual gesture before flicking his fingers towards him to try tugging the butter knives from Mu Ly's grasp and over to him.
no subject
Despite all his posturing Mu Ly is not someone Wesker considers a thread and he makes that point by turning his back to him, quite willing to let the other two handle him while he takes a look at Ny Ak.
"Show me the wounds." He instructs while moving over to that side of the situation.
After this we could choose to diverge the groups some, should parties desire.
Honestly, it was for the best that Cal had claimed the knives at that point, because between the slip and Wesker turning his back, things fell apart. Just a little. Mu Ly jerked free of Te Ra. There was definitely intent there. Intent to hurt. Anger and disgust and outrage and... a touch of possessiveness? One thing was certain, though. Even unarmed Mu Ly was still going to be a threat for Leo and Cal to handle now that Wesker's back was turned. Though whether Mu Ly had the strength and skill to stand up against any of the three warriors was a damn good question they would be free to test.
The jerking forward did come with a push backwards from Mu Ly, so there was the added mix of Te Ra and Ga Re being shoved and falling backward. Fun for the whole family!
Meanwhile An Nu was still making distressed noises. Only Te Mi seemed to be anything resembling composed, even as his arms were shaking with fear and strain. One hand freed itself to accept the stim, but the youngest Agrii looked at it confused. This was not a tool he had seen used. Thankfully Wesker had approached, and the boy gladly handed it over toward the large man.
"Mu Ly was faster than he looked," Te Mi explains, and gently his hands uncover the first wound. "I think he got Ny Ak twice with each."
Sure enough the first bit of blue cloth he lifts has two spreading blooms of red which will prove to not be as deep and concerning in the immediate moment, having hit first a rib bone and then down further just under a rib and thus missing a lung and chest cavity. Sadly it was still deep enough to have likely nicked something internal.
"The other side is bleeding faster."
stopping Mu Ly
Of course, the Agrii still has his teeth, but Leo isn't so worried about that. He grew up with Donnie, after all - he's not scared of being bit!
Still, it's probably not so good for the other Agrii. Leo still has his swords out, but he keeps them down and unthreatening as he turns away from Wesker and towards Mu Ly.
"Let's all take a big breath, huh? We're friends, right?"
He's doubting this will be resolved peacefully, but might as well try, right?
no subject
As intense and questionable as Wesker is, Cal at least knows he can handle with medical things, and he knows BD-1 will watch their backs if he can't offer any more aid himself.
So the Jedi keeps his attention on Mu Ly, casting a brief but concerned look in Ga Re and Te Ra's direction to make sure they're okay, even as the bloodied butter knives reach his outstretched hand, belatedly thinking to brace for whatever impressions he might catch of Mu Ly's assault on Ny Ak, and whoever else might have also have been met with violence at the end of those blunted blades.
no subject
"How dare you criticize one that tries to learn for the betterment of your people?" a voice snaps from the intercom. Clearly said AI wished to weigh in on the situation. "You betray your people by attacking them. By bringing violence. You are the bad one, Mu Ly!"
"Fighting not helping," Ga Re protests to all involved. And of course that only gets Mu Ly to whirl on her, fists raised as if to strike. Actually, with how he's advancing on her, maybe he actually intends to.
Which of course might all be incidental at the moment to Cal. Sure, there would be a momentary flare in the Force, warning him of the impending violence, but something else might throw him off of that. Because there's the knives in his hands, and boy does his psychometry ever have a story to tell. It starts in this very room, with all the parties standing and arguing in the quick, harsh tongue of the Agrii. It means that of course Cal won't understand the words. But the emotions are definitely there, especially Mu Ly's. The flare of anger and irritation, which only swelled every time his eyes shifted to catch the Wanderer. The Wanderer that seemed to be ignoring the conversation about its fate to draw in the wet sand with a single finger.
Ny Ak says something, and snaps Mu Ly's attention to them. In fact, the slighter Agrii is moving toward the Wanderer now, hands outstretched in welcome. Anger sparked higher, not yet rage, not yet actionable. Not until An Nu steps forward to follow Ny Ak. Desire flares high. Possessiveness. The need to posture, to threaten, to prove his dominance. The knives are out almost before Mu Ly seems to realize it, though his body is already in motion. His two free hands reach out, shoving An Nu behind him with one, turning Ny Ak with the other.
The blades flash out with more speed than any one Agrii has shown before, striking twice from both hands. Blood flies to paint skin. Ny Ak's eyes widen behind their goggles. Lips part in a gasp of pain. There are noises of distress all around and Mu Ly has just enough time to feel triumph before there are arms around him pulling him back. Arms that manage it at first because Mu Ly is watching with shock as An Nu shoulders back past him to catch Ny Ak up and cradle them close. Betrayal. Fury. Wrath.
no subject
"No offense, computer voice, but you're the only one here who can't get attacked and you're not really helping," he calls out to the AI, though his eyes remain fixed on Mu Ly.
no subject
It may not have been all that long but Cal is still thankful for Leo's intervention once he sees what's happened. He grimaces, but it's not like he can help when he gets pulled in by his power, and he hadn't wanted to leave the knives somewhere Mu Ly could easily try to reclaim.
"Enough," he says, his free hand lifting as he reaches out through the Force to hold Mu Ly in place.
"What do you prove to her by attacking your own people, Mu Ly?"
no subject
There was no real answer to his question, though. Not with the Agrii still so angry. At least, not in the way Cal would have wanted. Instead it's Ga Re who speaks up. She reaches out first, touching Leo's arm.
"Thank you for protect," Ga Re says, her voice shaking. "Mu Ly seem sick. Great anger. Not understand."
Then she looks to Cal, tilting her head. Or she does until Te Ra reaches out to wipe some blood from Ga Re's cheek. The Agrii nods her thanks before returning her attention to Cal.
"I think he mean to prove to me that he isright," she says, assuming herself to be the 'her' in question. After all, she's the only female leader. It had not occurred to her it might mean her aid in Te Ra, or the energetic but not always as helpful An Nu.
no subject
He looks between them, waiting for Cal’s elaboration.
no subject
"...some don't respond to change very well," he says quietly. "And there's been a lot of it going on lately. But it's hard to hang onto ways you're familiar with when everything else seems to be moving so fast." He looks at Mu Ly.
"He's angry, yes. Frustrated by everything, and he doesn't agree with the focuses some of you have taken. ...nor does he think he's being understood, especially by those he wants to be. That's all understandable. But violence still isn't the way, Mu Ly."
no subject
"He Rows show fight is way!" Mu Ly protests. "Many times in places you fight. You ask much for weep ons. Make threats. Attack others. He Rows prove weapons gain what want. What need. Agrii need this too!"
Clearly he was learning from what he saw among the He Rows, and he was much the poorer for it.

Taking care of Ny Ak
The little droid listens intently as Te Mi summarizes what's happened, hooting sadly. He stays off to the side of the group, head turning to keep an eye on whatever's going on with Mu Ly, confident that Cal and Leo can handle the feral Agrii.
no subject
"I don't know what this will do to an Agrii body if I inject it." He states while lightly raising the stim to indicate that this is what he is referring to. "We keep it as an option." He has an idea what the stim might do, but he only knows so much about Agrii biology.
With his free hand he pulls a small black leather pouch forth and places it on the ground next to Ny Ak before opening and unfolding it to reveal a compact medical kit. The Stim is placed among its content. The next item he produces is the menacing combat knife the Agrii themselves have gifted him not too long ago, its blade multiple times the size of Mu Ly's chosen weapons. But rather than using the weapon to inflict further harm, Wesker uses it to cleanly cut away Ny Ak's clothes.
"Do you have a light on you?" He asks the little droid while removing the cut and bloody fabric.
no subject
His reaction is, of course, not as intense as An Nu's is to the presentation of the large knife. The Agrii woman gasps in shock and makes as if to pull Ny Ak away from the He Row. Only Te Mi's quick acting to grab her hands with the two now free ones is enough to stop her.
"He is helping. Please. Have seen He Row Dock Tour Tae Kami do this for hurts," Te Mi promises the older Agrii in something closer to the halting Agrii variation of the 'He Row Speak' than the clear, concise language he had explained things to Wesker in. In fact, the kid turns his attention back to Wesker and seems to code switch back to clearer language with no hesitation.
Perks of growing up multilingual apparently.
"Should I keep pressure on the other wound? I have seen Doctor Tae do this with people who are hurt before. To make the blood catch faster I think. So it doesn't all run away."
Clearly his medical knowledge is lacking, but he's trying.

Bouncing back over by Wesker, BD-1 twitters an affirmative, jetting himself up onto Wesker's shoulder for the most optimal angle of offering a light, which he beams on once he's situated.

Considering that Mu Ly used a pair of simple bread knives it's still remarkable that he has managed to inflict such wounds. Whether or not the Agrii are even aware of their own strength is another question. But these knives aren't made to cut skin easily. It requires a good amount of brute force to accomplish that.
The smallest of the wounds only requires some cleaning and a simple bandage. Which is quickly done. The other of the two on his side looks worse due to being longer, but the cut itself isn't too deep luckily. The bleeding makes it look worse, but few quick stitches and a bandage will do the trick, so Wesker starts working on those. The fact that he doesn't get disrupted tells him that Cal and Leo are doing their part as well.

"We have no tables in here," Te Mi offers. "Only the benches. Do we take him to the Medical Wing?"
Because surely that was a place you took sick people. And hurt people. The Agrii had always been able to treat things there. But now... Now Ny Ak's eyes seemed to be drooping closed. Which was enough to get a gasp from the blue sashed Agrii youth.
"Please, whatever we need. Quick. Ny Ak is very wise. The Agrii need his wisdom."

"I will take Ny Ak to Medical." Wesker announces as he finishes up the next wound and quickly gathers um his kit and the stim in one hand before leaning down to gather up Ny Ak, using one hand to take over Te Mi's sash to maintain the pressure on the most severe wound. "I will need compatible blood as well."
Whether or not BD-1 hangs on to come along or wants to stay behind is for the droid to decide.

The droid would look over at his Jedi now, but that would mean turning his light away, but at least he hasn't heard anything too jarring from the other side. He does offer a few beeps in agreement, because getting Ny Ak to a medbay would probably be most ideal, although he also adds that moving him too early might worsen the damage.
As Wesker states his decided next steps, BD-1 hunkers down some as he gets a better grip on the man's coat, switching off his light as he twitters over in Cal's direction, just to keep them apprised of the situation.

"Thank you," Te Mi says quietly to Wesker for them both. "We will follow. I do not know how blood is compatible, but we will help however we can."
Not that either of them are clearly suited to helping, just to hovering.
"An Nu," Te Mi says, his voice soft, "go a head. Keep Agrii out way. Make easy for He Row Whisker to carry fast."
But not too fast, of course. That might hurt their patient more. Also, enjoy learning the Agrii interpretation of your name, Wesker.
