[Eli appears, holding his officer's cap in his hands and looks distressed. Perched on his shoulder is Re-1, Altair's scout droid.]


For those who know Altair, he seems to have gone home.... I found Re-1 at the door by itself and I learned he hasn't been at the hospital or the power plant. With Re-1 still being here....does that mean he isn't truly gone? I would have thought if he went permanently home his scout droid would have went as well. Granted....I'm not sure how this really works. I just hope that means he might come back.

--If someone could watch out for the kitchen for me it would be appreciated. Otherwise, I may temporarily close it down. I want to check in on those at the hospital in case no one else is around who can.

[That had been his main excuse, but the other reason being the toll of loosing Thrawn and Altair had hit him hard and it was hard to concentrate on the tasks before him. Let alone gather his own thoughts. He then ended the feed.

[Eli moved over to a small table to had a jug and two glasses on it. He filled both glasses before handing one over to Tommy.]

It's not the best and not the worst. But it does the trick.

I believe Altair was being sarcastic in his response. Granted he's constantly had to deal with all sorts of things, but there were Sith parties I believe.

Oh. [He blushed a little at Tommy's honesty about it.]

Well...I appreciate your honesty with that. Most would have not cared and taken it. So we'll save that for after the Storm then.

[He reluctantly returned the drink back to it's pitcher and got him a regular drink with out the booze in it.]

[He gave another eye roll and went back to replace the drink again this time with the booze. He had a feeling he was going to regret this later or hear from Tommy's brother on this later. Oh well, he started this all on his own so he would deal with it.]

Don't make me regret this. [And handed him the drink.] You're only getting one.

[Billy is not his keeper. It's the other way around. And Tommy will stand by that point. He smiles and takes the drink and throws it back, the whole thing, immediately. If he's getting one then he needs it all in him as quick as possible if he wants ANY hope of it doing ANYTHING to him.]

Still rude. I can drink alcohol all the time anyway. The point was to maybe get to feel buzzed. Geez, Bloopi, you're being rude.

Hey, don't go blaming it on me. I had no idea what you can or can't do when you have powers or don't have powers. I'm still learning. I just wanted to have a night to talk and have some fun.

Well, we're definitely going to talk. But no more alcohol for me. Tell me about your friends.

Got to be more specific. What do you want to know?

[He took his time drinking his drink and as he talked he began to cut up some of the fruit to eat.]

I don't know. Stories. Those could make you feel better, right?

[He always felt that way.]

[He gave a nod in agreement and thought about it for a few seconds.]

Well, part of why I'm so comfortable around Thrawn and Altair is because I've come to live among their people. Thrawn had sent me to his people once he learned I was getting uncomfortable where the Empire was going and the only reason why I was staying was for him. He felt I could learn more from them as well.

It took a while getting used to their culture and ways. And they had a hard time adjusting to me as well. I think a lot of them were placing bets that I was Thrawn's partner for him to send me there. It doesn't sound like he makes a lot of friends easily even among his people. So this had been a commotion for them.

[Tommy considers all of that thoughtfully. And he smiles at Eli's story. And wow, he can feel some warmth in his body. Oh that's nice.]

So you left all of your people behind for him? That's intense, man. That's REALLY intense.

Yeah. And because Thrawn didn't give me proper clearance....he thought the Emperor would take care of it....I was listed as a traitor for leaving. I only found that out later when his people and my people had to work together briefly. It wasn't fun.

While I didn't care about myself, I worried about how it would take on my family at home and their trade buisness. I still don't know if that's actually cleared come to think of it....

But those are things that Thrawn messes up on because he's not good with politics. His brother is a politician and usually deals with that. I did give him hell for that and the way he greeted me when we had arrived here.

Yeah, that's kind of why he needed me around as his aide.

I was happy, but at the same time it was frustrating. It took a year for them to really get used to me and accept me as part of their group.

[A year, that's forever. That's insane. Tommy doesn't know what to do with such an impossibly long period of time.]

Fuck, I'd have punched someone.

Well I did tolerate the racist behavior from the Imperial Navy for at least 15 years....so I can handle a year among the Chiss. The problem with the Chiss is they are very set by how they do things and don't handle change well. This was a huge disruption to the way they did things. Leave it to Thrawn to shake up things.

[Eli grinned a bit as he took another drink.]

[Eli couldn't help but let out a good laugh at the statement.]

Let me tell you how many times we were court-martialed and won every signal time. And all the times he annoyed the previous commanders.

[That's the most amazing thing. Tommy grins and raises his glass.]

[Eli poured him some water and handed it to Tommy before moving to sit back down again.]

Typically when you are court-martialed you're career in the military is basically done or you get sent to some shit hole of a position that no one wants and no way to redeem yourself. They were really trying to knock Thrawn and I down and only ended up looking like fools each time.
