Sorry, you're stuck with me, bitch

Who: Angel Dust, OTA
What: Arrival/Drinking
Where: Fountain/Deep End
When: Early-Mid Month
Warnings: TBD, Strong Language, Addiction

Arrival
There ain't no way it's possible, but this sure as shit doesn't look like Hell. Angel tries touching that creepy orb thing again, and even tries askin' it questions, but it's a fucking floating ball, he wasn't expecting a whole lot.

So it's down to you- poor fellow netizen of this place- assuming the sight of the furry sinner's approach doesn't scare you away.

"Holy shit," he murmurs, staring at you in disbelief, "Are you ALIVE?" Is this a real living, breathing person and not a soul???

The Deep End
"Oh thank fuck," Angel sighs, dropping onto a stool by the bar, grateful to have found a place to stop that building headache. And whether it's your job or not, hot-stuff, you have just been designated bartender.

"What's the strongest shit you got in this place?" he asks with a flirtatious grin.

It was supposed to be a quiet, solitary trip across the square. The sun would be up again soon, so those who had waited for the cool of night to be out had most likely retreated to bed, leaving Tony to take advantage of the pre-dawn chill and solitude, only DATA slipping along the dew-glittering cobblestones behind him and the constant murmur of the fountain to focus on to keep from shivering in the dark. He had almost made it, too, when he was attacked. The giant came lurching out of the dark, and Tony yelped and slammed the heel of his hand into its too many eyes that came bowing so curiously close.

The weird, giant bug got taller and made another loud noise that had Tony bringing his fist back at the ready again, only to freeze with only his breathing coming rapidly and eyes darting to properly assess the...danger? DATA wasn't so intimidated, staring up at the new thing once he reached Tony's side, his aperture adjusting curiously to assemble a full scan for his database. A beat behind him, Tony was realizing, "Shit," then, "Sorry," as the giant talked, bringing up both hands in apologetic surrender and to clearly telegraph no further violence as he offered to inspect the damage done. At some point he remembered to actually listen, too, beyond acknowledging that the giant was trying to talk to him and not eat him, and the input lag had him stupidly asking, "Did you say 'demon'?"

The question wasn't as easy as the guy made it sound, because he looked to Tony about as close to a bear as he did any demon he had ever seen, and left him raising a quizzical lip without a clear answer. Instead, he had to shake off the confusion to properly address, "Are you okay? Not my smoothest introduction. Kind of have to be on your guard around here, but, listen, I'm not making excuses, I just wasn't ready for this--" He flicked a hand between them, whatever was happening, and had to try again, "Let's run that one back, take it from the top." He didn't make any move to try that reset, though, watching the demon's face anxiously for some sign that he had somehow done irreparable damage.

It wasn't any less startling the second time around when it came on so suddenly like that, making Tony flinch and leaving him with a hand to his tender heart and a small shake of his head for the abuse. "Keep that up, and the ticker's going to give out any second, so not for long," he finally answered with a tap to his chest. He had to take a deep breath with a glance down to meet DATA's curious camera to try to properly catch up with everything he had already been told. "Can we try one where we just--" he twirled a finger in the air to roll it back one more time, then just took control of the situation by offering a hand and a weary, "Welcome to the end of the world."

There weren't a lot of names that would give Tony pause anymore, he'd shouted some of the strangest in a fight, but that one was certainly evocative and had him raising an eyebrow to ask how many levels of irony he was supposed to be recognizing. He wasn't so prepared to introduce himself, yet used to his reputation preceding him and had to clear his throat before he returned, "Tony. You'll have to check in with me about the 'pleasure' part when you've seen what we're working with. I've known a few people who regularly go to hell. I don't know anyone here by choice."

Tony had to lift his hands in surrender, fully aware that it was not the kind of choice he would make, and did largely find that kind of person absolutely inscrutable. "I'd rather be in the Seychelles," he agreed. "But wizards and demons, you know, I'm willing to say they don't know how to relax." After a beat, he noted, "No offence," though still looked a little skeptical.

That was a pretty unexpected petname from someone that Tony had decked, and Tony wasn't entirely sure if he should take it as a threat from the demon in the dark or that anxious knot in his chest was something else. He still didn't hesitate to raise his hands to help turn Angel's face into the moonlight for a proper examination, muttering, "Can't see any damage," even as he didn't look entirely convinced.

"North of Madagascar," he provided, sounding distracted and not terribly interested in the geography. "Did you leave, or did you die?" he was more curious about.

While Angel still didn't look much like any demon Tony had seen, it did make track with that experience that this had changed him somehow, and Tony gave a tightlipped nod, partly in understanding and partly to confirm that the punch hadn't had any obvious effect. "You're not going to find a lot of folks from your neighbourhood around here, as far as I know," he cautioned, already stepping away with a dropped shoulder, half way between an apology and an invitation to come along if Angel really didn't know where to go next. "But they're each remarkable, nonetheless. Alive, and otherwise."

D.A.T.A. rolled along with them dutifully, keeping his camera unwaveringly trained on Angel as he moved and tried to process what this voice meant. Until Tony noticed how focused the little robot was, and pursed his lips at him before scooping him up, hoping he wasn't developing a new fixation. He hadn't yet recovered from his infatuation with Donnie, or turtles, or whatever it was that seemed to take up so much of his processing power. "Should I assume they'd say the same about you?" Tony pressed in the meantime. "Or is that, you know, if they aren't complimentary, then I should take that as a good thing, two moves ahead, kind of thing." He wasn't leading them far, toward the imposing glass building that reflected the fountain and the glow of the orb, and that gave a hot, wet sigh of air as Tony drew the doors open.

Tony was also looking up and around once they were inside, like he wasn't entirely sure what to expect, either. He definitely didn't know how to get any lights on in here, so they were illuminated only by the moon through the glass, and a faint beam provided by the robot, who swivelled around intuitively with Tony's gaze. He barely glanced back at Angel to ask, "Should I be watching my back?," so he was definitely more concerned with figuring out how to navigate the greenhouse. Eventually, he had to continue ahead, checking around corners curiously as he mapped his way through.

When he did actually look Angel's way, Tony maybe regretted not being more cautious in the face of those glowing eyes and sharp teeth, but his hesitation was brief before he was answering, "Listen, this is where most of our food in this place comes from, so..." He thought he was going to make a point about what a disaster it could be if they did find something concerning on their midnight tour, only for his head to tilt and shoulders drop with some resignation. "Yeah, probably. Be careful what you eat." Most of the plants did look annoyingly innocuous, nothing moving in the dark.

"Yes and yes," Tony answered, airy with distraction as he searching stroll through the garden slowed, and he started ducking his head for closer examination around plant beds. It was difficult to tell if something actually looked familiar, or nothing at all did between the dark and the grainy footage that he was trying to compare it to. He still managed to elaborate, "There's basically nobody here. I can almost guarantee you, if you pick a spot to take your pants off, no one else has claimed it, and it's probably a bad storm away from collapsing. If that doesn't sound like a good time to you, then there's a few places that have had some reliable work done, you do have options. Depends on how close you want to be to anybody."

Tony glanced up briefly from his search, again with an inquisitive quirk of his brow that he didn't pursue. Instead, he crouched with a delicate tug at his pantlegs with fingers raised daintily, which didn't quite match the sharp intent he levelled at the flowering bush that he considered. "Not a lot you have to earn around here," he corrected, "except, maybe, trust." After a beat, where he flicked up a leaf with a reluctant and irritated finger, he rerouted, "Or, I guess, you don't want to lose that one. I don't know." With a still watchful stare at the plant, like he expected it to move, he tapped a distinct rhythm against the floor with two of his fingers, and frowned when it just died in the muffled density of the greenery.
