[Network/Action]
[Everyone's favorite purple turtle flashes a practiced grin at the screen before he finger-guns at it. He's got to keep himself busy somehow while waiting for results for his weather balloon search!]
Making rounds today. Robin, Max, Lark- give me a head's up if you're busy otherwise I'll find you.
[He'd call out Wesker too but figures the man would prefer his business be on the down-low, so he'll just stop by the hospital office to see if he's there to make that delivery.]
[Maybe it's creepy maybe it's not but when you have access to a certain someone's camera network, it's not too hard to find people when he's looking for them. So Donnie will track down Robin and Max wherever they might be wandering or just wait by the place they've been staying at.
...alternatively he'll just leave them a small package, their name written neatly on it. Inside Robin's will be...well, it's not a walkman, because even if Donnie initially thought to make one, he decided that the cassettes were impractical for holding all the songs he wanted to put on it, and would be difficult to go through. So yes, it's an MP3 player loaded with every 80s song he's ever downloaded, including most if not all of the Eurythmics tracks, especially if they had a beat you could bop to. Yes, it's purple. He may have branded it with an engraved, stylized D. There are headphones and instructions that he's handwritten- the only reason it's not more than five pages long is because his hand's still recovering.
For Max it's that promised handheld gaming console, also purple, also branded- loaded with classics like she's familiar with, just current-dimension variants. It also has a few old-school style RPGs. Likewise it comes with handwritten instructions for general use of the game system.]
Also! This heat is atrocious but nights are slightly (if minimally so at best) more tolerable so I have set up an outdoor movie area by the wall of the empty factory- not the spider-filled one. Do not try to tamper with my projector or there will be consequences. First showing tonight will be a double-feature of Lou Jitsu and Jupiter Jim. Leon, if you would be so kind as to choose our viewing selections, I'll get them loaded up when I can.
Donnie, out!

Donnie, out!

Scoff! My schedule is way too busy to be spending time watching people's every move. Anyway I'm not the stalker here.
[He just makes use of the cameras someone's set up around the city because that's a normal thing.]
Oh, they're great- you won't be disappointed! Martial arts action and a scifi flick! [Maybe. Although perhaps Max would at least not be as affected by how dated the movies are, given they're circa late 70s into 80s.]
no subject
I prefer horror, but like I said, not going to complain at this point. It's been too long.
[ That era is perfect for her, at least. And she'll accept the sci-fi. ]
How many movies do you have?
no subject
Horror, huh? Yeah, don't have any horror movies on my phone but I'm not completely adverse to them on occassion.
[He shrugs.]
Over sixty and that's only counting Jupiter Jim.
no subject
Just like I'm not adverse to watching anything, right now.
You must really like Jupiter Jim.
no subject
When there's not much options, right? I'm surprised no one thought to look for movies in some form while we were at the spaceport...
My brothers and I grew up watching his movies cuz those were some of the only ones dad was able to get his hands on aside from the martial arts ones.
no subject
[ For a brief moment, she actually softens, because that makes her think of her dad. Hearing about better dads than the last one she dealt with...helps. ]
That...makes them kind of special, then.
no subject
[He smiles wistfully though. Man, he misses his dad.]
Yeah...
apologies - lost internet there for a bit, should be good now
It definitely makes up for a lot of things. [ This next part, though, she makes it sound like it pains her to say it, but really, it's just the truth. ] Helps we have good company here, too.
Oof! Wb!
[Now where is she... if she's out in the open somewhere it'd be easier to spot her. If she's in a building that'll be considerably trickier to nail down.]
Thank you! good to RP again!
[ She's in a nondescript area, outside, trying to find enough space to skateboard on, or using the rough, ruined terrain as an obstacle course, when she can manage. When she responds to Donnie's message, she stops, then goes right back to it. ]
\o/
[Which is a strange thing to say, maybe. Donnie's taken to the air, only slightly better than being on the ground because flying at least means he won't be toasting his feet walking barefoot on what roads there are.]
Do me a favor and don't scream.
[Because not long after, he drops down near where she is, landing on one a tipped over wall as the rotors of his battle shell fold in behind him.]
no subject
[ Max sounds wary. ] Why would I - a..... [ She almost does yell when he just drops down from the sky, but manages to hold back. She's, almost, used to surprises, these days. Still, she stares, mouth agape. ]
You can fly? That takes stalking to a new level. You should warn people before you do that.
no subject
[He grins as he straightens up, tapping a finger against the edge of his battle shell that hooks over his shoulder. It's the usual armor cover that he tends to wear, seems it's more than just protection after all.]
My favored way of getting around. I promise you I do not exclusively use it for stalking. -or stalking in general, I realize that just makes it sound like it's an option. ... Anyway, here.
[Deciding to stop before he digs a deeper hole for himself, he hops down and digs through the bag slung over his shoulder, pulling out a small package. He holds it out to her.]
no subject
[ Then she stops and looks over him with a growing smile. ] But it was pretty cool, though.
You only have one of those things?
[ Because flying, not in a spaceship, sounds like a whole lot of fun. She's distracted by the package, though, confused for a second. Wait. ]
[ Max sounds just as eager when she speaks again. ] Video games?
no subject
Yeah, just one. Had to build it from scratch since none of mine were dropped off with me, here. I have several different versions back home that have varying functions.
[His grin comes back in full and he wiggles the package for her to take.]
I said I would, didn't I?
no subject
First in line.
[ Max smiles, big and wide, as she takes the package from Donnie and opens it up. ] This is...so cool of you. Really, I owe you one for this. [ If nothing else, he has a friend for life, or as long as they're stuck on this planet. ]
no subject
Well, if we do, I'll let you and Leo work out between the two of you who gets first.
[He smiles even brighter as Max does when she opens the package up.]
I just hope the games are to your liking. It'd be kind of pointless making a cool system and not having anything you were remotely interested in playing.
no subject
I'm sure I'll find something on here I like. [ There can't possibly be so many games in the world and Max doesn't like them. ] So...how does it work? I'm used to arcade games. [ She can probably figure it out, but asking might prevent unintended damage. ]
no subject
Oh, well I did make instructions. [Donnie helpfully points out the little booklet he'd put together. It would have been easier if he had a printer but then you needed everything that came with it, so handwritten it was!]
But this here's the on and off switch, the d-pad is self-explanatory, this is start and select, the first of which usually pauses games and the second brings up the menu as applicable.
I believe most of the games will off you the option to save or quit when you hit pause, in which case it will return you to the game select screen.
That comes up when you first turn it on- you can go through each title with the directional pad and turn "pages" with the left and right buttons on the top of the console.
no subject
[ Max looks at the instruction booklet and her eyes widen, a little. Then she smiles with a huffed out laugh. ] You really do think of everything.
[ She starts to follow his instructions, turning it on to make sure it works. ]
Next, you just need to work on a way for two players to compete with each other. [ She's mostly joking when she says that. ]
no subject
Oh, well it's already preset for that capability. I'd just have to get another one finished, but then they'd be able to connect wirelessly.
no subject
Wirelessly? [ Max's eyebrows furrow to the concept, then she looks startled. ] Like the devices? [ A smile starts to grow on her lips. ]
That would be badass.
no subject
no subject
Then we can play games with each other! [ Yeah, she's, honestly, excited for that. ]
What else can you do?
no subject
He grins.]
Well, I am the tech guy, so anything along those lines, I can handle.
