[Everyone's favorite purple turtle flashes a practiced grin at the screen before he finger-guns at it. He's got to keep himself busy somehow while waiting for results for his weather balloon search!]

Making rounds today. Robin, Max, Lark- give me a head's up if you're busy otherwise I'll find you.

[He'd call out Wesker too but figures the man would prefer his business be on the down-low, so he'll just stop by the hospital office to see if he's there to make that delivery.]



[Maybe it's creepy maybe it's not but when you have access to a certain someone's camera network, it's not too hard to find people when he's looking for them. So Donnie will track down Robin and Max wherever they might be wandering or just wait by the place they've been staying at.

...alternatively he'll just leave them a small package, their name written neatly on it. Inside Robin's will be...well, it's not a walkman, because even if Donnie initially thought to make one, he decided that the cassettes were impractical for holding all the songs he wanted to put on it, and would be difficult to go through. So yes, it's an MP3 player loaded with every 80s song he's ever downloaded, including most if not all of the Eurythmics tracks, especially if they had a beat you could bop to. Yes, it's purple. He may have branded it with an engraved, stylized D. There are headphones and instructions that he's handwritten- the only reason it's not more than five pages long is because his hand's still recovering.

For Max it's that promised handheld gaming console, also purple, also branded- loaded with classics like she's familiar with, just current-dimension variants. It also has a few old-school style RPGs. Likewise it comes with handwritten instructions for general use of the game system.]


Also! This heat is atrocious but nights are slightly (if minimally so at best) more tolerable so I have set up an outdoor movie area by the wall of the empty factory- not the spider-filled one. Do not try to tamper with my projector or there will be consequences. First showing tonight will be a double-feature of Lou Jitsu and Jupiter Jim. Leon, if you would be so kind as to choose our viewing selections, I'll get them loaded up when I can.

[Donnie laughs.]

Well, if we do, I'll let you and Leo work out between the two of you who gets first.

[He smiles even brighter as Max does when she opens the package up.]

I just hope the games are to your liking. It'd be kind of pointless making a cool system and not having anything you were remotely interested in playing.

I'm sure Leo and I can come to an arrangement. [ Perhaps a game, even. Winner gets first go, or something along the lines. She'll figure it out if that's ever a possibility. ]

I'm sure I'll find something on here I like. [ There can't possibly be so many games in the world and Max doesn't like them. ] So...how does it work? I'm used to arcade games. [ She can probably figure it out, but asking might prevent unintended damage. ]

[That'll be fun to see how it goes. Leo's fiercely competitive.]

Oh, well I did make instructions. [Donnie helpfully points out the little booklet he'd put together. It would have been easier if he had a printer but then you needed everything that came with it, so handwritten it was!]

But this here's the on and off switch, the d-pad is self-explanatory, this is start and select, the first of which usually pauses games and the second brings up the menu as applicable.

I believe most of the games will off you the option to save or quit when you hit pause, in which case it will return you to the game select screen.

That comes up when you first turn it on- you can go through each title with the directional pad and turn "pages" with the left and right buttons on the top of the console.

[ Then Leo might have a battle on his hands, because so is Max. ]

[ Max looks at the instruction booklet and her eyes widen, a little. Then she smiles with a huffed out laugh. ] You really do think of everything.

[ She starts to follow his instructions, turning it on to make sure it works. ]

Next, you just need to work on a way for two players to compete with each other. [ She's mostly joking when she says that. ]

[Donnie just looks so pleased at that comment. He really does try to think of everything anyway. And then beats himself up over anything he's missed.]

Oh, well it's already preset for that capability. I'd just have to get another one finished, but then they'd be able to connect wirelessly.

[madginger]

[ Max has taken note. She would tell him not to beat himself up, though. Waste of time when other people will do it for you. Though, if anyone did do that to Donnie, not in a brotherly or friendly way, she would have words with that person. ]

Wirelessly? [ Max's eyebrows furrow to the concept, then she looks startled. ] Like the devices? [ A smile starts to grow on her lips. ]

That would be badass.

Exactly! [Sometimes it's easy for him to forget that not everyone is from beyond the year 2000. Ancient times, gasp!]

[madginger]

[ Ancient times still exist, Donnie! But, really, for Max, this trip has been eye-opening and fascinating with how things work. ]

Then we can play games with each other! [ Yeah, she's, honestly, excited for that. ]

What else can you do?

[It's fine Max, at least he's not that ignorant of ancient times. And he does love the music of the period.

He grins.]

Well, I am the tech guy, so anything along those lines, I can handle.

[madginger]

[ She's pretty partial to the music, herself, still carrying her walkman around with her. Everywhere. ]

If I think of something [ Max's eyes roll upwards as she tries to think of how to put this, then settles for the word ] outrageous, I'll toss the idea your way, then.

[ Because if it means she gets to try out fun things, why not? ]

Anyway, you're having some party later?

I like a challenge.

[He blinks, brightening then.]

Oh, yes! Well, maybe not necessarily a party but movie night! Outside of the empty warehouse out towards the south of the city.

[madginger]

Then, Donnie, I challenge you. [ Max grins. ]

Even better. [ Parties, not so much Max's thing outside of her little group back home, but movie night? Definitely her thing. ] I'll be there. Might not stay long, but gotta support movie nights.

-Er, what? What're you challenging me to? [Heeey that's not how it's supposed to work!]

Cool. And hey, no probbles. It'll be nice to have you there either way. I just figured we should be able to have some way to enjoy ourselves around here.

[madginger]

When you get that two player mode going [ oh, look, she has faith in him, it's when, not if. Max gives Donnie a playful grin ] we're playing something.

[ Her face scrunches up at the word "probbles" who says that? Apparently the turtles, in their era, but Max has to take a second to decode it, then she smiles. ]

We should. You're right. I'll be there, then. Have a good one, Donnie!

[He grins back, giving her a nod.]
