It’s Knuckles who runs to tell Radley that something has changed with the train and maybe they can get back to Temba. Radley rushes to see, calling to the others who have been stuck in Sh’Ka in case they want to come too. He can’t imagine anyone wanting to stay here longer, at least not without finding out what’s up in Temba.

He rides back with Knuckles and Fang again. Even Fang seems interested in what they’ll find ... apprehensive, even. But they pull in to what looks like a completely normal city. Bewildered, they step out and start to look around.

“Hello?” Radley finally calls.

He looks in the diner, half-dreading what he’ll find.


Wildcard Radley will be going all over Temba to check on everyone, so he can be encountered anywhere!

His favorite? Tae laughs and shakes her head.

"You really just know what to say to make it a bit better. Thank you."

[crystalmaster]

Radley smirks. "That is one of my talents. As well as cleaning." He looks around. "Is there any more sand to take care of?"

[butterfly_kiss]

"There is. All throughout the place. I've been cleaning all day."

And it's just tiring. She's ready for a nap actually.

[crystalmaster]

"That sounds exhausting. Why don't you take a food break?" Radley suggests.

[butterfly_kiss]

"I intend to take a whole damn nap," she answers with a shrug. "Too tired to sweep up my apartment yet. The hospital spaces seemed higher priority."

[crystalmaster]

Radley smirks. "A nap sounds great too. Are you gonna stay here if your apartment's full of sand?"

[butterfly_kiss]

"I fear I must," Tae sighs. "I don't have the energy to clean there yet, and the hospital matters so much more than my comfort."

[crystalmaster]

Radley nods sympathetically. "Well, I'm sure you've made it comfortable enough here for napping." He has thankfully never ended up here as a patient, so he can't say for sure.

[butterfly_kiss]

No, she doesn't think she has. This is just a waiting room. But she's going to figure out what she can do and just do it.

"Hospitals aren't designed for comfort in a lot of places. But we do our best."

[crystalmaster]

Well, not "here" here. Radley meant a hospital bed. He certainly hopes those are comfortable.

"True. I'm sure it's better than Sh'Ka, though."

[butterfly_kiss]

Those are definitely more comfortable, but she doesn't want to mess one up.

"I honestly haven't been to Sh'Ka, so I wouldn't know. I'm content with the city I have."

[crystalmaster]

"I went just intending to explore for one day and got stuck there for a whole month," Radley says with a grim smirk. "The furniture in Sh'Ka is mostly stone. Thankfully, Lark was there too and had cushions."

[butterfly_kiss]

"That sounds like a massive pain. And it does line up for how long I felt like I was dreaming..."

Stone isn't so bad honestly, if it's made ergonomically.

[crystalmaster]

"It was. Especially when I found we couldn't get back." Radley frowns. He was certainly worried all that time, as was Knuckles. He never could have imagined the bizarre story they would hear upon returning.

"Intriguing."

And upsetting. She didn't know what to do with the news that maybe, just maybe, she was a mermaid for a month. And had believed it was normal.

[crystalmaster]

Radley is really unsettled too. Just what kind of power are they up against?

He sighs. "Well ... if you wanna take a nap, I should leave you to it. Let me know if you want some food later."

[butterfly_kiss]

A power greater than any available to your usual sort of human. But that wasn't something to be fathomed right in the moment.

"Thank you. I will reach out if I need it."

[crystalmaster]

Radley can imagine it's something outrageously powerful, frighteningly so.

"Cool. Okay then." He smiles, leaning the broom against the wall as he starts to turn to go.

[butterfly_kiss]

There is so much here that is outrageously powerful. Her right hand man in the hospital is a witch. Things just work like that.

"Radley? AS ever, thank you."

[crystalmaster]

Radley pauses and smiles more. "Sure."

Tae offered a wave before taking her broom and walking off. Time to find a place to nap.
