rain
Chrissy likes the rain, honestly. So, it's not odd to find her out in these short bursts of rain sprinkles lying on the ground and letting the rain fall on her face and the rest of her (she can change into dry clothes later, after all), or even just walking in it, or if she's feeling extra silly — trying to catch raindrops on her tongue the way people do with snowflakes. Despite the damp ground, she also stretches out her limbs with a few cheerleading moves on occasion too.
Overall, it feels oddly refreshing, but she chalks that up to the fact they've been away from here for a while. So, you know, feel free to join in on her fun out here, or ask her what the hell she's doing.
hotel
Spending most of the last few months in ships or on spaceports and the like, Chrissy has missed the room she'd claimed in the hotel when she arrived here. And, while they were on the spaceport, she'd bought (among other things) some cute things for her room that she's slowly putting where it needs to go. Fairy lights get hung up, wall stickers that look like ivy vines get stuck on, an inflatable chair that is both very pink and very glittery gets set up in a corner.
She's doing all this with her door open and a playlist of her favorite 80's music playing (not loud enough to be a real disturbance to people, though). Anyone is welcome to stop in and chat, or wonder about her decoration tastes.

( put a random starter down and I'll roll with it, or hit me up via PM or discord — since plurk is being awful about notifs as of late — to hash a thing out. )

rain
He has to admit, he's not expecting to come across a girl spread out on the ground, letting herself get soaked.
He leans into her sightline, eyeridge raised. He's taken off his mask because it's the only one he has and he doesn't want it to get too soggy, so all she'll see is green turtle face and his big, red stripes.
"Let me guess, you're secretly some kind of plant."
no subject
This is the kind of comment she can easily roll with without missing a beat. So, she jokes back with a quick, “I am secretly a plant. Who doesn't want water, sunshine, and other people commenting that you're interesting and-or pretty?”
no subject
“When you put it like that, I want to be a plant, too!”
So saying, he’ll flop down next to her, though since it’s awkward to lay on his shell he lays on his stomach instead, head pillowed on his arms.
“Personally, I think I’m one of the pretty ones.”

"How's things in the life of a coolest, fastest, strongest, best looking turtle, so far?" That's him, right? A reference to his quote from his first post after showing up.
no subject
“Less cool than they could be,” he admits. He turns his head so he can better look at her. “You must be Chrissy the cheerleader! Nice to meet you for real.”
And, you know, lay on the ground together.

Hotel
People you might not get to see when you get home again.
And the music brings Robin out of her own room, just a bit further down the hall. Comes closer and pops her head into the doorway.
"Hey th- woah you've been getting things nice in here."

"I think I've seen some murals around. Seem painted by people like us. Maybe we can find out where they got the paint from and you can paint your room."
Because there's no reason not to go further.

“Seems like a good idea to start with. I assume you're in for helping? You don't have to, of course, but totally welcome to.” It would be a fun project either way.

"It's very you," he compliments diplomatically, giving a small laugh as they obviously have very different tastes. "Need any help?"

He snorts with a bit of a pointed look down at the top of her head before nodding nodding, unfolding his arms and stepping away from the door frame to come lend a hand. He neglects to mention how the stickers briefly conjure images of the much less appealing vines in the Upside Down.
"Yeah, I really don't need to see that-" he jokes. A dark joke, having seen that and far more all ready. Once was enough.
welp I wrote a damn novel here
"You know what, fair." She doesn't want to feel it, either, so there's that. It does also remind her about something she's been aware of for a few months, but hasn't said anything to him about, because she wasn't sure how, and also they've been in the middle of chaos the last few months, so not a great chance to. But, now, maybe is good enough. She's silent for a moment, like she's thinking about something Serious™ and how to say it before she finally speaks.
"Also, I don't know if she told you that she told me, but after the whole thing with Upside Down things coming here, I had Robin tell me everything about home. Like everything she knew from Will Byers going missing to after I died." Just to fill in just how much of an infodump she'd asked for and received, even if a lot of it (most of it) was hard to know about and hard enough for Robin to recount. "I took detailed notes and have it all still, but that doesn't really matter I guess. What does is.." She trails off slightly, pausing again, but only for a second or two. "I'm so sorry; if I had known what that was going to lead to, I would have stayed well on the other side of town." Robin didn't have to say too much about that (so as to be avoiding giving some details that weren't hers to give) for Chrissy to get the picture — all it took saying was that people killed by Vecna didn't have their bodies pulled into some weird dimension (Chrissy was hoping for that option, because no evidence) and just remained where they were, and that Jason is/was actually fucking unhinged (not Robin's words). And yes, she knows it's not her fault for dying, or her responsibility to apologize for that or for Jason's actions (he can do that his own damn self, except not because she will be driven to commit a single murder if he ever shows up here and so he wouldn't have time to), but she still does it anyway. "And I just want you to know I completely disagree with the views and actions that people I was close to used me dying as an excuse for." That probably goes without saying, but she wants to say it too. "They're just—" And this last brief pause is shorter still; so short it's barely noticeable. "—fucking assholes, really." Chrissy doesn't curse — maybe in her head, or under her breath when she's alone and really mad at something, but not out loud around other people (she wasn't raised that way, and her parents would have started WWIII if she had said a single thing like it out loud) — but it feels fitting Eddie be the first one to actually hear a couple from her. Because, really, fuck being ladylike or whatever right now.

"Hey!" she calls out, breaking away from the doorway she's been sheltering under and jogging towards Chrissy's prone form. "Are you conscious? Can you hear me?"

Shaw lifts her gaze up to the clouds, raises her eyebrows, then looks back down at Chrissy.
"That's a thing? Isn't this what we invented umbrellas specifically to avoid?"

"This is pretty sweet," Max comments as she physically whirls around. "I should spend more time in your room." Granted, this also gives her ideas for her own.

"I guess I have to. Unless you want me to hold something up for you?" Max asks, still looking at the fairy lights in awe.
"Definitely have to do something with my room, now. If we're going to be here, why stare at blank walls. Kinda depressing."
