EVENT: Energy Storm, Continued!
By now, you’ve all had your fill of this energy storm, right?
And, fortunately, it seems to be clearing. You think. It’s on the move - for those out in the thick of things, you’ll notice as you track the center that it’s shifting, day by day. Maybe you see fewer ghosts, maybe the lightning and the wind will die down for short periods of time, before picking back up.
But as you track it, you realize something: It’s moving toward Temba. And while the storm is noticeably weaker, it’s likely going to hit the city, and those you’ve left in it.
In Temba, you’ll notice the change in the wind. As the storm draws closer, so do its effects. For those in town, you’ll notice far-off flashes of lightning that seem to be getting closer. And you may start seeing those same energy ghosts walking the street that your comrades have been seeing out in the storm. They might tempt you to follow, but they fade before they can get very far. Maybe you’ll just end up outside the city in the growing wind. Or maybe a figure will disappear into a building, and there will be nothing there when you get inside, yourself.
If you have powers, they may start fluctuating as well. Special abilities might become unreliable. Equipment might go on the fritz. It’s a very frustrating time to be superhuman.
The storm will sweep into the area around Temba by March 1 and remain over the city as it continues to weaken. The energy storm and all its effects will be completely gone by March 14, when this event will end.
Until then, stay safe, Revivalists!
