[ action ] - Exploring the Station
WHO: Keith, open (closed thread for Jughead)
WHERE: Around the station, possibly on the Glitter Food at some point
WHAT: Exploring, shopping, figuring things out, investigating pink aliens
WHEN: during the space station phase of the event
WARNINGS: Will add as needed?
Keith had been checking things out around the station, trying to find what things were the same and what things were different. While the actual station designation hadn't really rung a bell for him (he was surprisingly bad with names), the base structure did. Granted, there had been a lot added on over time, but he kind of recognized what was original and what was new... for the most part.
There had been a good number of changes.
Still, enough people on the station remembered Drift Fleet, surprisingly enough, and Keith found it odd to once again be recognized by strangers. He hadn't had this since the last time he'd been home, being recognized as a Voltron Paladin, and someone who had essentially saved Earth. And, honestly, it didn't feel any better than last time, either. He wasn't a fan of the attention.
But, he also didn't mind taking advantage of it. People who did recognize him as being from Drift Fleet, and those who also recognized him as a pilot of his current ship, seemed to treat him a bit differently. It seemed to get him into a few advantageous situations, and, at this point, he wasn't above leveraging that in order to get what they needed on this current mission. In fact, one stall in particular basically gifted him a blanket that had been an exact replica of one seen on the show...
Keith wasn't sure how he felt about that. It had been from their last Calibrations before breaking free of the Marsiva.
Either way, he could be found out and about, either laden with useful supplies he'd found or not, maybe he was your station "Uber" driver for the day, as he'd picked that up for some odd jobs and to earn some extra cash during their stay, or maybe he was the bouncer at the door of the club you were going to that night. He'll probably let you in...

"Yeah, at least."
He tucked it under his arm for the moment.
"How's your luck been with finding what we need?" Hopefully better than his...

Which has been quite lucrative for her.

"I think I know a good spot to look." He'd drop the blanket off back on the ship later. For now, he was going to take Lark on a little tour and introduce her to the vendors that had reacted positively to his presence. A little "return" of their favor.

Because it's only fair.

He gestured for Lark to come with him. He had some time. Plus, he was kind of hungry, so he was thinking of checking out of the food places that was on the way.

"Alright." He felt better about it then.
It was a bit of a walk on a station this size, but not far enough to summon one of the Space Uber shuttles. And Keith had a feeling Lark didn't mind walking anyway. And, at the small
starbuckscafe on the way, Keith offered to get Lark something to eat as well if she wanted anything.no subject

"Mr Keith! You've come back!"
"Yeah, I wanted to show my shipmate this place," he said. "She's a seamstress and has been trying to find some good sources for what she needs."
The shopkeeper looked thrilled that he'd been recommended to someone by a celebrity. "Come in! Come in! Take a look!"
Keith gave Lark a quick glance, glad that he could use his notoriety to help someone out, and then indicated for her to go first.

He followed her in, mostly hanging back and observing, as fabric and all that wasn't really his area of expertise.

"Feel it... like... it's soft or something?" Or did this go way deeper? She did say that the fabric actually wanted something.

Of course Briar had seemed shocked when he'd learned that there were personalities to plants. Why not be shocked that there were characteristics to threads?

"Ambient mages are talented at finding the inherent magic and life in all things. In the things we make and work with. Smithmages and Greenmages, Dancemages and Cookmages. Weathermages and I've heard there are even rockmages. That's just how life works sometimes."

"Huh... interesting." Really, it was. Keith was just bad at words sometimes. "I guess... I mean, we kind of have something similar back home. Different people call them different things, but there are people who can use something called quintessence." He crossed his arms. "Some are stronger than others, and some things are bigger sources of it." Like the Lions... and how Keith had been able to sense the Blue Lion on Earth even when it wasn't his bonded Lion.
