Greetings.

[There's a man standing calmly, a black cape covering most of his body, staring into the camera with an expression of very open disdain.]

My name is Kylo Ren. I am the Supreme Leader of the First Order and to many of you, I suspect those words mean nothing. Don't worry. That won't last long. To those of you that do know who I am, I'm very glad to be the one to tell you personally that you've finally managed to run into a corner that you won't be escaping from.

I'll be quick about this. I've been here for some time now and in that time I've mostly done two things - The first is studying this network to learn more about my situation so that I could somehow contact my fleet to come and get me. If I had succeeded, this would have been a very different kind of message, [and been accompanied by orbital bombardment, probably] but I did learn that the phenomenon that pulled me here has also reeled in a number of criminals from my galaxy. They refer to themselves collectively as the Resistance. Whatever they've told you about themselves, they're thieves, murderers and terrorists, so I would be careful about how much time I spend with them if I were you.

The second thing I did was digging.

[He switches the camera over to a fairly respectable looking pile of supplies, mostly food and medicine. Apparently he's been busy following around those ghosts that have been popping up.]

I understand supplies can be scarce around here, so I went to the trouble of procuring some. I'm even feeling generous enough to share them, so let's make this simple.

Deliver every single member of the Resistance to me. Or the Resistance can simply surrender themselves, but I've learned to not underestimate their cowardice, so I won't be counting on that. Either way, do that and these supplies are yours.

[Somehow, this was by far the most personable version of this that he came up with.]

By the ancient Sith, you're an idiot aren't you?

This is not our own universe, and you bring your petty quarrels with you instead of focusing on our collective survival.

[Yeah, he's not exactly amused here. Taking away food doesn't sit well with him on the best of days. Doing it in a desperate situation just makes him angry.

It probably shows.]

You're not the only one here who would have to put animosity aside, and you've chosen to act like a child instead.

[Worse than a child. A child understands the importance of food and medicine. This is reckless.]

If you can't see that this will backfire on you, then you're a waste of oxygen.

[Ren squints. He expected to be called a monster - with no small sense of anticipation, mind - but he didn't expect this. Being talked down to like this, the tone and the insult is almost enough to inspire immediate rage and threats.

But something else overrides even that. Something he never expected to hear when he was crafting this blackmail disguised as a barter. His surprise annoys him. His aggravation is not well hidden in his words.]

What do you know of the Sith?

I am Sith.

[He still sounds angry. But there's a hint of pride too- because he is proud of being Sith.]

And if I can set aside my anger until it's useful, then surely you must be able to do the same.

You're a liar. [The rebuke is immediate. It's the only thing that makes sense - he still hasn't gotten his head around the 'different places and times' thing.]

The Sith are gone.

Different times, different worlds. Different Empires and Orders. I come from a time nearly four-thousand years earlier than yours.

[His tone is so dry.]

So yes, I am Sith. Being displaced won't change that.

Are you ready to calm down a bit now?

[It's not seen, but Kylo clenches a fist offscreen. A Sith. A real one. At another time, he might've regarded him extremely highly - not as highly as his master, of course. But he would've wanted his knowledge, nonetheless.

But that was then and this is now.]

You're a relic and your empire is nothing but dust. Your empire, for all it strength, couldn't bring order to the galaxy, but I'll succeed where you failed!

[So that's a 'no' on the calming down.]

[Altair sighs deeply.]

Back to being a waste of oxygen it is.

[Why is he not surprised. He reminds him of Ravage. All the worst bits of the man.]

Your rage will serve you poorly here, I'll remind you of that.

Harm anyone, destroy our chances of survival, and you'll have every person here gunning for you. Consider your choices- will you stand alone among enemies with powers you do not know, or will you choose to play nice until your anger has a place and a purpose?

Look at my face, Sith.

Do I look like I'm worried about making enemies of you?

Do I look like a man who's never had to deal with being challenged by the wretched, teeming masses before?

It's your poorly attended funeral slash being tossed out into the woods somewhere, I suppose.

[If there's something he hasn't missed it's fighting with these sorts of entitled personalities.

Feels like being back in the Dark Council chambers.]

Destroy the supplies if you must. But if you touch any person I care for, then you'd better sleep with both eyes open and your senses reaching far.

[He doesn't like the idea of destroyed supplies. But anything lost can be replenished. He hopes. Most important is people, though.]

Your threats mean nothing to me.

If you have no interest in assisting me in bringing order to the galaxy, then I have no issue killing another remnant of the Sith and their failures.

I would likely be doing you a favor. Otherwise, you would just fall at the hands of some Jedi.

This is not your galaxy, nor is it mine. It's not even our universe, or dimension- whatever you wish to call it.

[He's met some people with thick skulls, but by the stars...]

And I am a Lord of the Sith, a member of the Dark Council- no Jedi who's ever stood in my way lives to tell the tale, I can assure you of that. And none ever will.

[Yes, that is some pride and some arrogance.] I suggest you do something about bringing your intelligence up some- before you forget how to breathe.

[Dammit. This'd be the perfect time to say something like "I'm not the one who's forgotten how to breathe" and force choke him if he knew where he was. Oh well. Back pocket.]

Your empire and your council and everything you believe in was destroyed by the Jedi. Again and again.

I will not make the same mistake.

[Altair sighs deeply, like he's lived a lifetime of frustration, and he pinches the bridge of his nose.

Children, he swears. Even if he's pretty sure he's younger than the other man. Still, this feels like dealing with acolytes and apprentices who think they know everything and do as they please, not realizing that there are rules.]

Yes, sure sounds like you won't. [The sarcasm is strong in this one.]
