Radley at New Tick! | OTA

Radley is definitely surprised by the announcement of New Tick being held elsewhere. He could do without being compelled to get on the ship; he would certainly go of his own volition! He's been wanting to go on an actual space trip. He has things ready, food-wise.

The Agrii's village fascinates him. He loves learning about different cultures and is amazed to actually meet Agrii.

He is immediately suspicious of the candy after what happened at Thanksgiving and is not going to have any. He will probably casually warn others, but won't be able to get to everyone and/or some likely won't listen. When he sees what it does, he is WTH appalled and doesn't want it anywhere near him. Looks like he'll be baby-sitting for New Tick....

He is very happy with his gifts. It's been so long since he's been able to read The Lord of the Rings, and his recipe book is going to come in such handy! He's been wanting to try some different things with food.

The ice palace amuses and intrigues him. He has to go check it out, taking pictures with his network device and his phone both. (Will the pictures still be on his phone if he ever goes home? He can only hope. He would love to show Scotch.)

"What, was Elsa here at some point?" he smirks before going inside.

He actually tries out the acoustics in the place by singing Let It Go. Hey, he thinks he's alone and he can't resist. He has a very pleasant tenor voice. (Does anyone stumble on him?) When he finds he can't talk at all but has to sing everything, however, he'll probably be a lot less amused.

On the 17th, he definitely wants to visit the Agrii ship and will go aboard. Has he made any fans? He doesn't know. But he wants to explore and learn.

Noctis isn't sure about this ice palace place. Somehow he's temporarily lost sight of Gladio but he doesn't mind looking at all of the things that are here. His dark blue eyes look up and down but somehow he hears someone singing.

A few twists and turns later, and he realizes that it was Radley so that makes him nod at the other with a smile.

"Didn't know you sang."

Radley stops singing and blushes a bit to be caught, but then smiles. "I used to a lot back home."

He's stunned when his words come out as song. "... I did not mean to do that.... I ... can't stop."

The king nodded. "Guess this place doesn't give too many reasons to sing here."

This last part has him concerned. "Maybe I should get you some water?"

[crystalmaster]

"Yeah, pretty much."

He laughs awkwardly. "I wonder if it's this place.... Maybe I'll come back outside...."

He steps out. "... Okay, yeah, it's normal out here."

At Radley's observation, Noct waited to see if that was a thing. But it made him wonder about the whole event thing. There was a catch to even this one?

Well of course there would be.

And once Radley announced that things were okay outside, he moved fast and looked at his companion. "That..was really weird. You're okay now though?"

"Yeah. I guess in there, everything comes out as song for some reason? Weird." Radley frowned but then shrugged. "Oh well, at least that's relatively harmless."

Noctis smiled. "Good thing you figured it out. You might still be singing in there." But he then nodded. "Ya, at least nothing was coming after us."

[crystalmaster]

"Yeah, heh."

He would make a crack about Marshmallow the snow monster, but he doubts Noctis would get it, so he doesn't.

"Let's hope that isn't still an upcoming feature here."

[fatedsacrifice]

That had Noct smile. "I guess if people are bored, they can always go back in and sing. Might prove entertaining."

Gladio would kill him.

Radley laughed. "It's definitely that. I guess the Agrii probably don't know or remember why it's like that."

[fatedsacrifice]

That had him think a moment.

"Makes me wonder how they always seem immune to their own stuff."

[crystalmaster]

"Like the weird candy? I wonder if they are. Interesting how I don't think we ever see them eat any," Radley mused.

A small sigh came out and he looked at Radley. "Think its some sort of set up?"

Let The Song Die

Tae had come to investigate the structure. Listen, that earworm had affected even her. What she wasn't expecting was to walk in and hear someone singing the damn song.

So of course she comments. Which comes out musically. Why? She doesn't know. It's annoying.

"Must you sing that song? Will it ever go?"

Radley smirks. "Hey, this place was just asking for it. I wasn't expecting an audience."

He also wasn't expecting to sing his reply, and he has a very WTH expression as that happens.

Okay, so she's not the only one this is happening to then. Tae still looks frustrated by it. As she should be.

"Can you help it? The song?"

Because she seems annoyed. But hey, she's got a decent voice for it.

"Not this one," Radley says. He has a sweet tenor voice.

"You sing well, though," he smiles.

Tae laughs and shakes her head.

"I've been to enough karaoke bars that I haven't been boo'd out of."

[crystalmaster]

Radley smirks. "Maybe we can try some karaoke when we get back to Agra-10."

"Someone has a machine, back there. Deep End."

And she is getting annoyed at the singing. It's cold in here. It's such a pain for her neck.

"Outside."

[crystalmaster]

"Oh yeah, the guy with the chicken."

And sure, Radley's willing to go outside and see if that makes it stop. "After you," he gestures grandly.

The Deep End was owned by a guy with a chicken?

Tae shrugs her coat more tightly around herself and walks toward the door.

"I hated how this song was everywhere," she says when they make it outside. "All the kids in the ward would sing it constantly."

[crystalmaster]

Radley chuckles. "I never minded it ... much. My friend Scotch was always singing it. He'd put on these big, elaborate Disney concerts back home. It was fun." He looks wistful and nostalgic. "It kept the town's morale up a lot."

[butterfly_kiss]

"It did?"

Her voice sounds like she can't believe it wouldn't destroy morale. But she will accept it for now.

"I suppose it takes all sorts of music lovers."

[crystalmaster]

"Yeah. The mess we were in . . . it was nice to escape it for a while, even through something like a concert."

Radley comes back to the present. "So, what do you think of the rest of this place?" Meaning the village and such.
