So.

Since things clearly go from zero to a million here, is anyone willing to do me a favor? It's just 'show me how to do something like throw a punch without shattering my whole hand in the process', thanks!

Link reaches forward, and shifts one of her hands a little further up. She was mostly close - but shifting just a little bit further will give her a better grip.

"Two hands is easier," he says. Then he steps back, taking up a solid, steady stance with his branch held before him. "Feet like this," he says.

Shifting her hands and stance, it does feel a little less awkward. “Okay, I think I got it now. At least this part. What am I testing it on?” She should have brought something to smash, at least a pillow, but she didn't think that far ahead.

As an answer, Link simply slings off the shield on his back, and holds it up before her, in a perfect guard position.

Apparently, the things she'll be testing her skills on his him.

She nods. “Here goes, then.” She swings the club forward towards the shield, and it meets it with a not-quite-graceful thud. She was probably holding back too much.

Link blinks. Looks down at the shield, with an air of faint surprise. He'd...well, he'd been expecting a bit more, to be honest. Not that he'd expect her to hit like a lynel, of course. But she could manage to hit like a bokoblin at least, surely?

"Harder," he says.
