Since things clearly go from zero to a million here, is anyone willing to do me a favor? It's just 'show me how to do something like throw a punch without shattering my whole hand in the process', thanks!

I'm teaching a few people. Would be glad to help out in this. Probably a few others that could too. Come by the civics center some morning. There's training gear there.

Early mornings tend to be better. Sometime around nine. Usually done with running and lifting by then.

Wear comfortable clothes that aren't too loose or too binding.

I'm invested in never being close enough to a dog-ish creature with a venus fly trap mouth to almost be made into creepy-monster food. Does that still count?

Yeah, those things were really damn scary. It was a relief when I could get my sword and shield out.

And you're not wrong, it very much counts. Who knows, maybe you'll find you want more than your fists. I guess I've been teaching weapons too. I can fit in some time while I'm working up these plans for a school.

Which weapons do you teach mostly?

So you really are from where Harrington and Hargrove are. Makes sense.

I'm teaching Steve the mace, and Billy the axe. But I'm versed in basic training of a lot of different forms. I'm a greatsword and shield specialist myself. Noctis is better with other forms of swords though. And daggers. Spears. But I can do basics.

The hours Link before dusk are ones Link needs, in order to scrounge up a club for Chrissy. It's not the best club. He doesn't have the tools or the skill to make anything really good. So in the end it's essentially just a solid piece of wood he's scrounged up, and used the Sword that Seals the Darkness to whittle into something more...club-like.

In fact, when she arrives she'll find him still at it. He sits on the edge of the fountain, Sword carefully shaping the wood to have more of a handle for her to grip. Apart from the weapon he's using as a glorified whittling knife, there's a few other things of note: the shield on his back, his shoulder-length blonde hair, and the fact that his ears are pointed, like an elf.

it's pretty easy to spot someone from Hawkins.

[ ...is what she says, but what she means is: they have a specific brand of 'hot mess', basically. ]

A sword would be how I accidentally decapitate myself. Something like batons I could manage though.

[ those are basically not sharp swords if you ask her, ok. ]

She arrives at the meeting spot to already find him there and working. “Hey,” She starts, offering a small wave and quick but friendly smile.

He does look like he's ready for pretty much any fight, with the sword (that he's also using to make a weapon) and the shield, and after her experience shortly after arriving? yeah, she doesn't blame him in the slightest for looking so ready. That just seems smart.

“I'm not late, am I?”
