A - Where preparation pays off - In & Around the Hospital || OPEN [ ~ October 11th - 13th ]
He has felt it in his blood first and foremost. The virus he carries rearing up and making every cell in his body burn to the point where his immune system started to act up as well and Wesker found himself forced to rest. When he woke up again, the virus had become quiet. Too quiet, in fact. From there it hasn't taken Wesker long to figure out what is going on and it only kicked him into full action. At least he had prepared for a scenario such as this one.
The hospital is a large complex and only a small part of it is actually being used. It's in the unused parts that Wesker has been storing his arsenal of weapons and grenades he has either built or modified over the past couple of months. His powers may be useful, but they have never been something Wesker relied on. His true power has always been his superior intellect and sharp mind. And those have made sure that he is ready to take on whatever this planet may spring at him even without having his superhuman abilities available.
He can’t help but still feel a little sluggish nonetheless. But sluggishness isn’t something Wesker can allow himself. He has seen the sky, spotted the roaming creatures and noticed the communication systems being offline. All in all, things don’t look great.
When Wesker returns to the restored part of the hospital, he is armed with a gun in hand and two larger guns on his back. All of them models available to those with the Security expertise. With the difference that Wesker has done some work on them. Or plenty of work, much rather. He has a couple grenades tucked away in various pockets in and under his coat, a first aid spray that doesn’t quite live up to his expectations as well as a sorry excuse for a flashlight. Unfortunately he hasn’t been able to acquire a proper knife either, which means his preparations are still lacking despite his efforts so far.
"I hope you are armed." He says in a calm, yet very serious voice as he steps past a room that he hears the unmistakable sounds of a person from.
B - Time to PUNCH a MINDFLAYER!! - Fountain area of Upside-Down Temba || Team Fountain Gate [ ~ October 14th - ?? ]
While Wesker remains assured that he doesn’t rely on his powers, he still is glad to have them back. And not in that unstable, fluctuating way he had to endure the past day, with his already unstable virus acting every way of wrong. It was unreliable, disorienting, at times physically making him ill. Even taking on the smaller creatures has been risky and Wesker has taken his fair share of injuries also on his way to and through the closest gate to the hospital he has been defending. But this? Right now? This is how it’s meant to be. He feels strong, fast, invincible. Wounds are closing properly and the virus is raging, urging him forward for a kill, eyes ablaze.
But what exactly is he meant to kill? There are fewer creatures right through the gate and the little ones are easy to crush but- What is it he is looking up to? This massive strange being seems so much less palpable as the other creatures that are still attacking Temba. This looks like a job for a flamethrower if he were to make a wild guess.
Guessing isn’t going to help now, however. Not with the creature slamming down a tentacle at him, forcing Wesker to dodge, drawing his gun out of pure reflex and firing at the aggressive limb. To Wesker’s own surprise, the shot hits and the tentacle flinches away. This is good information to have. He can hurt the thing and he has its attention.
Wesker switches his handgun for one of the larger weapons he carries, the glow of his eyes dimming behind his glasses as he announces to no one in particular. "Let’s do this then."

He fires his shot and the capsule hits the creature in the back of what Wesker considers its body where it explodes in a burst of colorfule flames and smoke, drawing a shriek of surprise and pain from the monster as it breaks into a fit of flailing and swinging its remaining limbs at anything close enough. Wesker is quick to bakc away, finding himself closer to the Jedi again. He isn't worried about Cal accidentally hitting him with his weapon - the young man obviously knows how to wield it. Which doesn't necessarily mean that Wesker trusts Cal. Or Tommy. He just expects them to prioritize survival in the current situation.

The sound from the Mindflayer has the Jedi look over. "How many of those you have?" he asks Wesker. "I think I can help. -hey Tommy, want to trade off here?"
no subject
Really, why does Agra-10 have so many people who haven't taken 'banter while fighting evil forces' classes? Wait, no, Wesker was evil, right? Maybe? Did he take Monologing 101? Or was it that the cop business meant he'd taken 'Unreasonable use of force'? Well, either way there's Caliente calling and Tommy's just there at his side, sighing.
"You know I can, but are you sure about this, Caliente?"
Not about facing the monster. Cal's a master class on that, Tommy knows it. It's the 'are you sure you want to work with Wesker' thing. Tommy at least has the ability to outrun the old man (probably, maybe, listen he totally does).
no subject
"Three." He answers the question while reloading the weapon still in his hands. Cal and Tommy switching positions is perfectly fine with him, especially since Tommy has proven to be less useful against the large creature while his powers are quite useful against the smaller ones. And Wesker doesn't doubt that Cal's sword can cause some serious damage.
Wesker dodges another tentacle strike from the monster that now is facing their little gathered group, which is easier for it now that they have regrouped.
"What do you need?" Wesker asks and switches to a smaller gun, firing a few rounds at the Mind Flayer to buy them a few more seconds before its next attack simply by being mildly irritating to it.
no subject
"I'll distract it, you shoot at its face, or close enough as you can, and I'll see we get the most out of what fire they put out. -hey ugly! Over here!"
The Jedi takes off in a run to get around the Mindflayer's other side, flinging his lightsaber at it, sending it flying like a laser-lit discus.
no subject
"Just be effective at this, guys. I promised Hargrove this thing was dead."
Then he rushes off to go find the other small creatures. He either bowls through them at speed, enough to just pulverize them, or throwing his hands out to explode others.
"I want this thing mush!"
no subject
But that's a matter for later. For now they need to focus on their current enemy.
With Tommy taking over the smaller creatures that are more receptive for his power and Cal... Throwing his weapon at the large monster? Well. That certainly is a technique.
Wesker makes a low noise of acknowledgement and shoulders the grenade launcher once more before darting forward himself. At least all of them are agile enough to avoid the thing's attacks, so Wesker focuses on getting a good aim at the monster's head while the mindflayer swings its appendages at Cal's lightsaber disc, shrieking when one of its tentacles gets hit and wounded by a clean cut that might have severed the limb entirely had it hit differently.
But the ire of the monstrosity is on Cal and Wesker takes the chance to dash in from the side and fire his second grenade right at it's head as suggested. The projectile explodes as had the first one and the mindflayer shrieks again, flailing its limbs and stumbling backwards. At this point it's hardly a question if they can defeat this thing.
However, it appears that the massive flock of assorted democreatures appearing out of seemingly nowhere disagree with their mindflayer being defeated.

Free hand raised, Cal flexes his fingers slightly as he tries to direct the flames so that they're contained around the creature's head to do its maximum damage before it expends itself. This does leave the Jedi briefly vulnerable given where his focus is, so hopefully Tommy's got those demobeasts covered.

So he's a blur, a shimmer of green and silver around the edges, working hard to either explode things, or hurl rocks at supersonic speeds, and once he's found a nice huge piece of rebar, just go all fake swordplay on them.
Though as the numbers increase...
"I've got this so far guys, but, uh... The chickens are coming home to roost or something. So if you've got a good plan that isn't 'Tommy wanna try running through this thing's legs at mach whatever' please let me knwo."

Wesker quickly loads his penultimate grenade, but instead of firing at the mindflayer again, he spins around to fire it into the growing number Tommy has to deal with, engulfing a decent portion of them in flames.
One shot left. That one needs to hit just as hard as the one Cal focused on the mindflayer or this will be needlessly harder for them all. Wesker loads the capsule into his weapon, but as he is about to lock the chamber, the entire mechanism gets blocked halfway through. "Shit." The man mutters before attempting to b ruteforce the weapon into a fire ready state would only end up with him breaking the entire device. It's still a prototype after all.
"It's jammed." Wesker informs the others as he leaves the weapon on the ground to dodge another flailing limb. A maneuver that leaves him closer to Tommy again whom he casts a quick glance to assess the situation. "Don't slow down now, Tommy. And Kestis, try severing its head with your blade!"
no subject
"It's just like I'm in training back at the temple again," he says with a faint smirk at Wesker's shout. Hardly anyone around here calls him by his last name. But he doesn't object to the suggestion, though he has to tuck into a skid under another sweeping limb.
"If you guys can keep this thing's attention-" the Jedi says as he shuts his lightsabers off, which might seem counterproductive but they're an easy thing for the Mindflayer to track. With that, he tries to get around behind the thing, which is tricky to figure out in itself. Oh well, here goes nothing..!
Cal throws himself into a huge and impossible leap, boosted by the Force, angled at the thing's head and silently hoping it doesn't turn around to swallow him because he's already not sensing the greatest things from this creature. Lightsabers ignite again in that satisfying snap-hiss, thrumming in the darkness as he pulls both apart, arming himself with two blades. He crosses them he comes down at the beast and then wrenches them both back to try cleaving the thing's head between them.

Which means he almost runs into the grenade exploding, because he hadn't even managed to pay attention to what the other two were doing. He needed to focus in other ways. He yelps as fire starts to bloom slowly in front of him.
"Wow man, I have this," he tells Wesker as he slips back into their frame of speed before moving at a blur again to the next swell of creatures. Hands up, aimed at a building as he vibrates it. It collapses in a roll over the creatures, smashing them. Much better.
no subject
But for now it's his turn to be the distraction and that's something he is good at. Once agin he switches out his weapon, but this time a smaller handgun-type model of the weapons provided to them by the Agrii. He dashes under the large monster and fires shot after shot into its legs and underside and head. These may not be as effective as the grenades or Cal's sword, but he only needs to be irritating and evade the mindflayer's angrily flailing limbs.

Amber and blue blades cross and arc, severing a clean, molten line in the hazyness that cuts the Mindflayer's cries short as its head falls from the rest of it. But the rest of it isn't long in following, although the body's make-up is strange and not easy to separate from once it begins to list.
Cal lurches into a jump just before the thing lands, his own landing only slightly better, a tumble into a three-point skid that was very nearly his face but no one needs to know that.
no subject
OF course he's got knees that can handle them from most heights. And maybe he should be paying attention to what he's doing, but he's hoping Cal's work has finished it for them.
"Does this thing's head even matter?"
no subject
He lowers his weapon, but remains ready to resume firing if needed. He has seen creatures come back to life even after being decapitated, though the way this thing crumples in on itself seems promising. But of course there are still the remaining demobeasts around, maybe struggling a little for a moment but that doesn't mean they have ceased being a danger.
"Don't let your guard down, Tommy!" Wesker reminds the mutant.
no subject
"Once the big guy's down, that should mean the gate should close, right?" he asks as he blocks the jaws of a leaping demodog before slashing right through the rest of it. Yuck. "-and if so, we probably shouldn't stick around."
no subject
"That's the hope," he calls to Cal as he moves to explode another Demogorgon coming at him.
"I'm gonna check the other gates. Make sure no one needs out."
no subject
While Wesker frowns at that, he makes use of his weapon to shoot any of the stragglers that decide to try their luck on him and keeps an eye on the downed bodies, who react quite similar to the mindflayer's remains.
There is little point for him to stay here.
