[There was an inherent risk with doing repairs to things while on a ladder. The house Keith and Lance had finally decided to claim hadn't exactly been in perfect condition to begin with, but they'd been fixing it up before the eruption. Some of their fixes were "unfixed", so now he was fixing again.

He'd been getting annoyed at the comm being in his pocket while trying to maneuver, and took a few moments to take it out of his pocket and place it on the top of the ladder.

The ladder, though, wasn't the most sturdy thing around. It was, after all, something that had been thrown together in a hurry in the first place. So, naturally, it was bound to give out at some point due to being used more than it could withstand.

The video came on just as Keith shouted in alarm. He'd made to grab on to something for support when the ladder suddenly hitched unexpectedly, and his movement triggered the video button at the same time that it knocked the comm off its resting place.

Everything on the screen tumbled. It was hard to tell what was falling and what wasn't. But it all came to a sudden stop with a loud crash, resulting in a nice view of the ceiling above and some of the repair work Keith had been doing.]

Ooww... shit.

[Keith was probably not okay...]

[Radley wasn't sure where to go, but he did remember about the residential area and decided to try it first. Seeing the glow, he follows it.]

Hello?

[Kosmo's ears perked at the sound of someone nearby and then barked. There was a flash of light and a 'shiiing' kind of sound, followed by a moment of silence before there was a repeat of the flash and noise. Kosmo now stood there in front of Radley, studying him closely with intense yellow eyes inside black sclera. He was a large wolf, almost the size of a Great Dane, and that was definitely fur in varying shades of blue. The wolf gave a slight wag of his tail.]

[Radley shielded himself from the flash and then jumped a mile to see such a large wolf.]

What the ... ?!

[The tail wag eased him somewhat and he took a cautious step towards him.]

Hey there....

[He debated if he dared put out his hand to sniff. He wasn't sure if he was that brave yet.]

I'm looking for someone who got hurt. Do you know where he might be?

[Radley found it perfectly natural to talk to an animal, although he knew of those back home who would scoff. Malcolm certainly would have.]

[Kosmo's ears twitched slightly, and he looked intently at Radley, like he was listening. It was almost like he understood. Maybe he did. The wolf definitely seemed to be debating something at this point, like he was thinking about a decision. He walked closer to Radley, tail still swishing slightly. His nostrils flared slightly as he sniffed, head bobbing up and down with the movement.

Then, he pressed against Radley's side.]

[Radley was surprised, but held still.]

Are you trying to tell me something, boy?

[Kosmo gave a swish of his tail again and then pressed against Radley so that they were definitely touching. It wasn't like he could actually say the words, "Hang on." And then FLASH!

A few seconds of disorientation, and they were inside Keith and Lance's house. Congrats, Radley. You survived teleport by cosmic wolf.

Kosmo whimpered a bit and then moved towards the bedroom. The broken ladder was visible where Keith had fallen, but Keith wasn't in the room anymore. There were voices in the bedroom, though.

Kosmo looked back over his shoulder.]

[Radley is definitely disoriented. He holds a hand to his head.]

Oh wow. I was not expecting that.

[He hears the voices.]

Keith got help, huh?

[He moves closer anyway, in case more help is needed.]

Hello?

[Lance can hear the telltale sign of Kosmos' teleporting from the other room, and a voice. Huh.]

Uh--is someone there? Kosmo, who'd you bring along?

[Though he keeps an eye on Keith. Yeah, he can probably pop his arm back into place... Might be the best option to get the worst of the pain over with soon...]

Uh, hi.

[Radley smiles awkwardly at Lance. He doesn't really know him.]

I was coming to help Keith. How bad off is he?

[Kosmo wagged his tail. He brought help, see?

Laid out on the bed where Lance had put him, Keith was visibly in pain, trying to keep his right arm very still.

Sorry, Radley, he wasn't up for a conversation.]

[Well, Radley didn't come to hang out. He sees Keith and looks him over in concern.]

That looks painful. What can I do to help?

Not the greatest, but no permanent damage. Uh... Okay, there's a first aid kit in the bathroom, can you get that? His arm aside, he's got some scrapes I wanna take care of.

[And his attention returns to Keith.]

Okay, babe. I'm going to get your arm back in place. It's gonna probably hurt like a bitch. Do you need to like... I dunno, bite down on something...?

Sure.

[Radley goes to get it, wincing to hear that Keith's arm is dislocated. Ow. He supposed that should be taken care of before any attempt is made to treat the scrapes.]

[Keith squeezed his eyes shut and then nodded.]

Let's just get it over with.

[He visibly clenched his jaw, gritting his teeth in preparation.]

Promise it's gonna be fine before you know it, love. Promise. Be the strong manly man I know you are.

[He gives him as reassuring a smile as he can, continuing to talk lightly as he gently feels out where he needs to push.

And praying that he doesn't hurt him further, he pushes mid sentence, popping the joint back in place.]

[Radley gets the first aid kit and then waits in the bathroom in case they want this moment alone, especially when he's not a close friend of either of them.]

[Keith kept mentally telling himself to breathe and not tense up. Tensing up would just make it worse and probably harder for Lance to do what he needed to do- POP!]

FUCK!

[Yeah, it hurt. Keith's head swam for a second as he almost blacked out again, and then he moaned a bit. It was almost right away, though, that he could feel the difference. Yeah, it still hurt, but less, and he was able to flex his fingers and wrist again.

He took a couple of deep breaths.]

Thanks...

[He would likely still need to see the doctor if only to make sure there wasn't any additional damage to the joint, but, for now, he'd definitely need to rest it.]

I've got you... It's okay. You're fine.

[He gives Keith a few kisses across his face and lips, distracting him a bit from the pain, before pulling back and glancing towards the door.]

Uh, all good now. Well. Arm's back in place. You can bring the other stuff over now!

[And he'll have to shoot Tae a message to swing by...]

Okay.

[Radley comes in with the kit and looks to Keith.]

Feeling any better?

[He clung to Lance for a few seconds while the other was close to him, and then gingerly released him when Lance started talking to someone else.

Right, Radley was there. Keith squeezed his eyes shut for a second, and then held his uninjured arm up and waved his hand back and forth in a 'kind of, but not really' type of gesture.]

Eeehhhh...

[He lowered his hand, using it to support the injured arm for now while he focused on trying to get the shock-induced nausea to pass.]

[Radley smirks sympathetically.]

I have the first aid kit.... I can take care of your other injuries, or I can hand this over if you'd rather Lance took care of it.

It doesn't really matter.

[He didn't have a lot, and he wasn't exactly super picky about who he let give him first aid.

He also didn't have a ton of scrapes thanks to his choice in clothing. There were a few tiny ones on the exposed skin of his arms. Another abrasion was on the right side of his back about an inch above his pants because his shirt had lifted up a bit in the fall. And there was a small tear in his pants leg above his left knee that had a fairly superficial cut underneath. Beyond that, it was just bumps and bruises.]

Okay then.

[Radley starts tending to the scrapes, going as gently as he can.]

[Keith sighed, mostly trying to will himself out of the pain, and waited it out quietly as Radley did what needed to be done. He was actually pretty mobile on his own, though he was making sure to be careful about using his arm. And he only flinched a few times at any stinging from cleaning the scrapes and cuts.]

Thanks...

Sure.

[Radley smiles and steps back when he's done.]
