[There was an inherent risk with doing repairs to things while on a ladder. The house Keith and Lance had finally decided to claim hadn't exactly been in perfect condition to begin with, but they'd been fixing it up before the eruption. Some of their fixes were "unfixed", so now he was fixing again.

He'd been getting annoyed at the comm being in his pocket while trying to maneuver, and took a few moments to take it out of his pocket and place it on the top of the ladder.

The ladder, though, wasn't the most sturdy thing around. It was, after all, something that had been thrown together in a hurry in the first place. So, naturally, it was bound to give out at some point due to being used more than it could withstand.

The video came on just as Keith shouted in alarm. He'd made to grab on to something for support when the ladder suddenly hitched unexpectedly, and his movement triggered the video button at the same time that it knocked the comm off its resting place.

Everything on the screen tumbled. It was hard to tell what was falling and what wasn't. But it all came to a sudden stop with a loud crash, resulting in a nice view of the ceiling above and some of the repair work Keith had been doing.]

Ooww... shit.

[Keith was probably not okay...]

[Radley comes in with the kit and looks to Keith.]

Feeling any better?

[He clung to Lance for a few seconds while the other was close to him, and then gingerly released him when Lance started talking to someone else.

Right, Radley was there. Keith squeezed his eyes shut for a second, and then held his uninjured arm up and waved his hand back and forth in a 'kind of, but not really' type of gesture.]

Eeehhhh...

[He lowered his hand, using it to support the injured arm for now while he focused on trying to get the shock-induced nausea to pass.]

[Radley smirks sympathetically.]

I have the first aid kit.... I can take care of your other injuries, or I can hand this over if you'd rather Lance took care of it.

It doesn't really matter.

[He didn't have a lot, and he wasn't exactly super picky about who he let give him first aid.

He also didn't have a ton of scrapes thanks to his choice in clothing. There were a few tiny ones on the exposed skin of his arms. Another abrasion was on the right side of his back about an inch above his pants because his shirt had lifted up a bit in the fall. And there was a small tear in his pants leg above his left knee that had a fairly superficial cut underneath. Beyond that, it was just bumps and bruises.]

Okay then.

[Radley starts tending to the scrapes, going as gently as he can.]

[Keith sighed, mostly trying to will himself out of the pain, and waited it out quietly as Radley did what needed to be done. He was actually pretty mobile on his own, though he was making sure to be careful about using his arm. And he only flinched a few times at any stinging from cleaning the scrapes and cuts.]

Thanks...

Sure.

[Radley smiles and steps back when he's done.]

Can I help with anything else or have you guys got it?

Well... [Keith took a deep breath, having handled the quick first aid fairly well. He had a high pain tolerance. A quick glance at Lance, and then he shrugged a little with his good arm.] I'm pretty much down for the count for a while. [That was annoying to admit.] But I think we can handle at least the new few things to deal with this... on our own. [Like, getting him over to Tae to have that elbow checked for any additional damage.] Repairs, though, will probably have to be put on hold for a bit. [Or at least, anything Lance couldn't do on his own.]

[Radley nods.]

I can probably help with repairs at some point, if you want.

[He doubts they want it going on now, unless the roof will be leaking or some such.]

[Keith nodded.]

Yeah, thanks. We'll let you know. I don't want to get in the way of anything you were already working on.

I usually have some spare time. So yeah, just let me know!

[He smiled and moved to head out, figuring they'd rather be alone.]
