The feed turns on and this little guy is seen. Noctis is sitting patiently, talking to it softly.

"It's ok, I won't hurt you."

Hesitantly the little creature comes up but takes a bite out of the Baconroom in his hand and the king is surprised. "You..can eat that?"

After a minute of seeing the creature not being harmed, Noct sets his pack down and goes to look at a sort of mushroom. He then takes a few pictures and then is satisfied so he goes back to his pack.

"Hey, where did you go?"

And that's when the pack falls over with the Gnoff inside, still nomming happily.

The king sighs. "I guess this means that you're having my lunch at this point."

Radley isn't sure what to make of the creature, but it seems harmless, so he smiles and watches.

"Hey," he chuckles. "It's been a while."

[fatedsacrifice]

Now there's a voice he hasn't heard in awhile and Noctis nods.

"Hey, glad to see you're still around."

Calibrations just worry him.

[crystalmaster]

"Same," Radley says. "What have you been up to? Did you get stuck in that Calibrations thing?"

[fatedsacrifice]

Noctis shook his head. "Nope. Second time something like that's happened and I haven't gotten caught up in it."

Or maybe it was the third, he wasn't trying to count.

"What about you?"

[crystalmaster]

"Really? I wasn't there either. Where have you been keeping yourself?"

[fatedsacrifice]

Noctis shrugged.

"Just trying to keep busy. Fishing and hunting mainly. Today was the first day I decided to try and do something useful other than those things."

[crystalmaster]

"Weird that we kept missing each other, but it's great to see you again now," Radley smiles.

[fatedsacrifice]

"Thanks, it's good to see you too."

Noctis reached a hand up into his hair a little self consciously.

"You've been keeping busy at the diner, right?"

[crystalmaster]

"Oh yeah, especially while almost everyone was gone," Radley said.

[fatedsacrifice]

"So you're just hiding out there." Noctis replied, with a slight laugh in his tone.

"Were there many people during that last event or was it more like a ghost town?"

[crystalmaster]

"Hmm. I guess you could put it that way, particularly in this heat."

He sighed. "Most people were stuck in Calibrations, as far as I know. I'm not sure how many weren't."

[fatedsacrifice]

He smiled. "Can't blame you for hiding out, with how hot it's been."

Noct nodded. "That whole thing is a pain in the ass."

Even if he did learn some things from it that he hadn't known.

[crystalmaster]

Radley nodded. "It's definitely hotter than it was last year. That rapidly forming mountain is something else." He was quite concerned about it.

"So you've been there in the past?" he asked.

[fatedsacrifice]

Noctis sighed. "That's not great news."

Considering he wasn't one for the heat, unless it meant roasting while he was fishing. Then he barely had time to notice.

But then he shook his head. "I haven't had one of those things. I've been here for awhile and somehow keep missing them."

[crystalmaster]

"Yeah, it's not. Back home, something like that would mean something pretty nasty."

He chuckled at this. "Really. I wonder what the key is to missing them."

[fatedsacrifice]

[Noctis smirked.]

I really don't know, but I can't say that I'm sorry that I miss them. Wish I knew because I'd just keep doing it.

[He was a private person and really didn't want his memories on display.]

[crystalmaster]

Hopefully maybe we'll both keep missing them. Or they'll just stop having them.

[He definitely didn't want to be so vulnerable either. Or for people to have reason to worry about him.]

Ugh, ya I could do with the whole missing them or not having them thing. Wonder where we sign up for that sort of thing.

[crystalmaster]

I wonder too. I imagine the whole lot of us would wanna sign up.

[He smirks darkly.]

[fatedsacrifice]

[That had the king laugh a little.]

Ya, not really sure any of us signed up for this adventure here either.

[crystalmaster]

Yeah, I doubt it. If anyone did, I'd think they were crazy. Or I'd wonder how bad their own world is that they'd prefer it here.

[fatedsacrifice]

[Dead wasn't anything better as he would be in his world. And there were definitely times he was conflicted about it.]

Who knows, maybe some people do have it really bad in their world.

[crystalmaster]

Then I sure feel bad for them if this is an improvement.

[He sighs, pondering.]

... I guess if their world's at war, this place would be better than that.

[fatedsacrifice]

I do too, but people are all different here.

[Noct listened to that sigh and he nodded.]

Ya, at least here there aren't a lot of people, and they can be defended more easily. But then they have to deal with our hosts or whatnot.

[crystalmaster]

Yeah.

[Radley frowns.]

I wonder if we'll ever know what's up with them.
