The feed turns on and this little guy is seen. Noctis is sitting patiently, talking to it softly.

"It's ok, I won't hurt you."

Hesitantly the little creature comes up but takes a bite out of the Baconroom in his hand and the king is surprised. "You..can eat that?"

After a minute of seeing the creature not being harmed, Noct sets his pack down and goes to look at a sort of mushroom. He then takes a few pictures and then is satisfied so he goes back to his pack.

"Hey, where did you go?"

And that's when the pack falls over with the Gnoff inside, still nomming happily.

The king sighs. "I guess this means that you're having my lunch at this point."

[The king shook his head.]

Not really sure. They haven't been forthcoming about much of anything really.

No kidding. Probably even if we fix things for them, we'll still be clueless and they'll thank us and send us back.

[That had him laugh.]

You're probably right, unless they screw up the sending us back part.

[crystalmaster]

[Radley laughed too.]

Yeah, that'd be just like it.

[Noct sighed but there was still amusement in his tone.]

Figured that would be the case, since everything else seems to be screwy around here.

[Radley snarks.]

That's one way to put it.

Gotta love this place.

Love it or hate it, nothing changes.

[Radley smirks dryly.]

That's definitely the way it is. And no grey area in between.

Such a pity too.

A pity? How's that?

[Curious king is curious.]

I'd like to see things change for the better. When they change at all, it seems to be for the worse.

[Noct sighed.]

Maybe we should figure out how to do the change for the better thing. Not sure if we don't, that it would happen at all.

[And by 'we' he didn't mean he and Radley necessarily.]

Hmm. I do what I can, as I'm sure you do too. If you have any further suggestions, I'm all ears.

[He smiled.]

[The king shook his head.]

Wish I had some, other than to keep helping each other out until we get a better picture as to how to get that change going.

Works for me. I'm a big believer in helping each other.

[Noct nodded.]

If it hadn't been for other people I prolly wouldn't have made it as far as I have.

[crystalmaster]

Yeah.

[Radley sounds far away.]

People really make a difference.

[fatedsacrifice]

[The king smiled a little sadly.]

They really do, even in a backwards place like this.

Maybe especially in a place like this, far away from everyone and everything we know.

[fatedsacrifice]

That's true.

[There was no doubt in his mind that Radley spoke the truth here.]

It's still kinda weird sometimes, not being home and seeing familiar faces.

[He had Gladio but he was definitely here before his Shield was.]

[crystalmaster]

It sure is. It always is. I hope someday we'll all make it back home, if we want to go. Occasionally it seems like some people's home situations are worse than here.

[Noct's head lowered.]

Ya, some people's futures back in their home isn't so bright, so they'd probably choose to stay here.

I hope we'll each get the chance to choose what we want. Are you one who'd stay here?

Well that question just pinned him to the wall so to speak. "Uh..I don't know that we'll get to choose. Not sure what I'd pick though. What about you?"
