[Closed] Hospital Escape
WHO: Tae and Radley
WHERE: Hospital and Onward
WHAT: Seeking Shelter from Monsters
WHEN: First Monster Attack Day
WARNINGS: N/A
There were, apparently, downsides to living in the hospital. For instance, sometimes a giant, angry, bear-badger amalgamation decides that your home slash workplace is something like their den. Or whatever monsters thought.
Tae? She was not enjoying being in a building that was getting recurring giant wanderings. Especially when she has no clue how long that generator she had found in her explorations was rated to last.
"Damn thing just wants to give me a bad day," she grumbled as she worked her way through several storage closets to try and stuff a pack with emergency medical supplies. "Guess I need to make more to go emergency medical kits."
Another thing in a list of many things that need done, and she's so tired to think of that.
"Where in the world am I going to set up first aid? What a mess. This is so outside of my pay grade."

Right now he's been crouching behind a building, pondering what to do next and how to get a better weapon when he sees the thing headed towards the hospital. And that makes him think of something else. Is Tae there right now?
Most likely.
Swearing under his breath, he goes around another direction and slips in through the hospital doors. "Hello?" he calls, trying not to be too loud.
no subject
Though seeing him, a look flashes across her eyes.
"Can you spare a few minutes to help? I need to get some emergency supplies out to an area beyond that thing's rampage. People are going to get hurt."
no subject
"Yeah, I can give it a try. The thing's coming back over this way now, though. We need to get out right away!"
no subject
"Three minutes of grabbing then we go," she suggested. Not like she could run really fast in her shoes anyway. "We need these things if people get hurt! It could well be life or death."
no subject
"I'll help you get stuff if you tell me what. We should probably get extra, if we can. We might not be able to come back here."
He flinches as the beast gets closer. He can hear it outside.
no subject
Damn, these shoes were going to be an issue. She leans down to undo their buckles for now. She buckles them together and slings them around her neck. Yeah, she's barefoot now and that was going to be a problem in its own way, but that was how life went.
"Let's go."
no subject
He won't comment on the shoes bit. Barefoot will be painful once outside, no doubt, but heels are absolutely not a good idea, so there isn't much choice.
He waits for her to show him what direction to go to get to the other supplies.
no subject
Which is not to say the man wasn't moving quickly enough. It was just a bit of worry in her because she too understood the worry.

"How bad is it out there?"
no subject
"Well, nobody seems to be having much luck bringing the thing down," Radley sighs. "I tried to help beat it back from the Diner, but my machete isn't good enough to do much on it."
no subject
"Hopefully it's left standing. And the hospital too."
She shoves a few saline bags she's put together into the newest bag and then turns to him.
"That's about as much as I can risk."
no subject
"It was okay when I left, but the thing was heading here."
He nods, relieved. "Okay, let's get out of here."
He hopes.
no subject
"Lead on. I'm sure you've better ideas of how to get from here to somewhere safer than I would have."
She doesn't get out as much as she should, what with there not being places worth going and so much work to do.
no subject
He heads for an exit that he thinks should be on the side opposite to where the thing will probably show up. It's getting louder outside.
no subject
"Any idea of where we should go?"

"Alright," she said, taking a deep breath. Time to walk.
"I'll be as quick as I can but... Take the bags ahead of me. I don't want to slow you down."
no subject
"Right." He takes the bags and opens the door, then holds it for Tae.
no subject
"Before we go out, thank you."
Because she had needed help and there was no way she was going to ask for it otherwise. So yeah, it needed said.
no subject
He just hoped it wasn't premature.
Outside, the shadow of the beast loomed, but it wasn't facing them ... yet.
no subject
"Let's go."
They have a long distance to go and she needs to move already. It's not like she's going to be able to move fast so she needs to just not stop moving.
But damn this hurts bare foot.
no subject
He's concerned about the shoe problem, too. "Have you seen any other places where the monster doesn't seem to go?"

should we wrap this one up soon?
Sure. Should we show them arriving at the hotel?
I think it's fair to assume.
Okay!
