[It took her a while of observation and consideration before her decision to do this, but really, this seems the most effective method of going about what needs to happen. So hey, here's a nice video posted to the network by a woman in a labcoat, clearly in one of the rooms of the hospital, sitting in a chair and with all those lovely background noises of hospital equipment.

Good afternoon all. I have at this point only been able to meet a small number of you, but I feel it is important to have the word out as soon as possible given what I have learned. So here it is, on this forum thing.

My name is Tae Takemi, and I'm your new primary care physician.

[Actually, she has to stop and smirk at that fact, because yes, that's a weird thing to declare herself for an entire community, but it's not like they have any other choices.]

While I doubt people always look into the credentials for their new GPs, I'm content to provide some here. I graduated third in my year at the University of Tokyo, and while my specializations are in medical research and compounding Pharmaceuticals, I have spent the last while as a GP in the Yongen-Jaya district of Tokyo. My hand compounded drugs have been sold at multiple hospitals around the city.

All of this is to say I'm a highly trained and qualified medical professional, and I've been told I'm the first dedicated doctor that you've had. Possibly in years. Which means you're all due for check-ups. I would expect to see people in for initial consultations and wellness exams over the next month, and I will be asking for medical history.

[With that she sighs and shakes her head.]

Listen, I know this isn't ideal for anyone, but what it comes down to is that I'm now responsible for your health, so anything you can do to make that easier on us both will be appreciated. My bedside manner isn't always the best, but I'm what you've got right now. I will of course be happy to respect those people who wish to continue to see the medics you've had until this point, but I will also be seeking to work with them to ensure people receive the best medical care we can.

Payment will be accepted in the form of medical supplies. This is accepted as things noted to be medicinally useful from the greenhouses as well as written instructions on what they are used for and how to prepare them, or in the form of one of your replicator rations so that I can replicate other needed items. If you are non-human, then payment is expected in the form of me picking your brain for anything I can glean about your biology to better treat you.

Or payment can be running errands because I'll take any excuse not to walk across these ruins to pick up lunch. And if you're one of those people with this 'communications' or 'engineering' specalizations, well, we'll talk. I've got some things I need set up.

Finally, in any emergency situation, please reach out to my comm directly. Any hour acceptable, just make sure it's a legit emergency.

[She doesn't seem to have a good way to end this, so she just turns off the video, posts the message to the network, and waits for any comments or visitors. What else can a woman do?]

[The woman stares at him for a long moment, looking utterly unimpressed by his joke. Before she actually did crack a smile. Because that was sort of amusing.]

Congratulations on your joke. I was going to say I'm not up to date on JSL, but I presume don't use that. And I was going to say that I don't know your biology, but I'd be willing to learn to try and best help you.

'JSL? I just use sign language. Another elf taught it to me when my voice was taken.'

_{[He goes over to her, feeling the weight of his staff against his back. It helps ease the fear more.]}

'I don't think I need help with anything. But I am an elf, and the world I am from is called Thedas. My name is Lerith.'

JSL, as it is called abroad, means Japanese Sign Language. The specifics of sign often have a lot to do with the places it arises from.

[Still, she nods along with what he says and jots the information down.]

There is no requirement for you to use me as your physician. But I do offer it anyway.

'I just use Common sign language. Though it is not a common thing to use where I am from. I wonder if there is a Tevene sign language or maybe a Dalish one...'

_{[The communicator seems to stumble a little over the names but it's there. He looks at her quizzically.]}

'Use you as my healer? Are you the only healer then? I thought there were others who had the Medical point?'

That's my point. There are other medics here, with their datapoint knowledge. I am attempting to further young Billy's studies as well. And you've got no obligation to have any primary doctor at all. I'm still offering.

[After all, Dr. Wesker didn't seem too invested in taking regular patients, leaving her as the most highly qualified doctor.]

_{[Right. There was a healer‘s point. He already had agriculture, but for a hot moment Lerith wonders if it would be better to add to the healers of the city. He’d have to look into it later.]}

I guess I just do not understand. There are medics but you want to be the one I come to? I’m sorry, we don’t have something like this in Thedas. If you are hurt, you go to the healers and an available one helps you, with magic or a potion.

_{[Lerith he’s not trying to be difficult at all. It’s just…confusing for the elf.]}

I see. What I mean is this. Where I'm from we have doctors that we see in a recurring fashion, whose job it is to take care of your health long term. It's not about injuries, it's about helping you be the healthiest you that you can be. So you don't have to explain your entire life over and over and over.

I think I understand better now. I am sorry if I am coming across as difficult, I just haven’t… had healers that work like this.

Did you want to be my primary healer?

Medicine clearly works different on my world than it does on yours.

[She does smile when he asks the question. It's a useful one, and what she wanted to get to the core of.]

If I had my way, I'd be the primary care physician for everyone here. I know that's not going to happen. Plenty of people seem shy about doctors.

[Ah, but herbs were still useful in medicine in her day. They were just better at synthesizing the effective components in the herbs to create shelf stable and consistent results.]

If you'd like to sit down, we can do an initial interview. I imagine your biology doesn't quite match that of humans, so I'll need to learn a lot to figure out how to properly help you if you get sick or injured.
