So hey, here's a nice video posted to the network by a woman in a labcoat, clearly in one of the rooms of the hospital, sitting in a chair and with all those lovely background noises of hospital equipment.

Good afternoon all. I have at this point only been able to meet a small number of you, but I feel it is important to have the word out as soon as possible given what I have learned. So here it is, on this forum thing.

My name is Tae Takemi, and I'm your new primary care physician.

[Actually, she has to stop and smirk at that fact, because yes, that's a weird thing to declare herself for an entire community, but it's not like they have any other choices.]

While I doubt people always look into the credentials for their new GPs, I'm content to provide some here. I graduated third in my year at the University of Tokyo, and while my specializations are in medical research and compounding Pharmaceuticals, I have spent the last while as a GP in the Yongen-Jaya district of Tokyo. My hand compounded drugs have been sold at multiple hospitals around the city.

All of this is to say I'm a highly trained and qualified medical professional, and I've been told I'm the first dedicated doctor that you've had. Possibly in years. Which means you're all due for check-ups. I would expect to see people in for initial consultations and wellness exams over the next month, and I will be asking for medical history.

[With that she sighs and shakes her head.]

Listen, I know this isn't ideal for anyone, but what it comes down to is that I'm now responsible for your health, so anything you can do to make that easier on us both will be appreciated. My bedside manner isn't always the best, but I'm what you've got right now. I will of course be happy to respect those people who wish to continue to see the medics you've had until this point, but I will also be seeking to work with them to ensure people receive the best medical care we can.

Payment will be accepted in the form of medical supplies. This is accepted as things noted to be medicinally useful from the greenhouses as well as written instructions on what they are used for and how to prepare them, or in the form of one of your replicator rations so that I can replicate other needed items. If you are non-human, then payment is expected in the form of me picking your brain for anything I can glean about your biology to better treat you.

Or payment can be running errands because I'll take any excuse not to walk across these ruins to pick up lunch. And if you're one of those people with this 'communications' or 'engineering' specalizations, well, we'll talk. I've got some things I need set up.

Finally, in any emergency situation, please reach out to my comm directly. Any hour acceptable, just make sure it's a legit emergency.

[She doesn't seem to have a good way to end this, so she just turns off the video, posts the message to the network, and waits for any comments or visitors. What else can a woman do?]

That sounds about right. And I know all of what I'll need tracked, but it's still a lot of work to put it all together and have a manageable form to track things in as well as perform searches. It's more than I can do for myself.

Unfortunately there are not many books around. The Agrii never had a written language and the few pieces we have collected so far were dropped off by others that were brought here along with the records I keep.

What kind of resources are you looking for?

That's less than pleasing. It's nice to have something to read while samples process. Oh well.

Any chance what your limited supplies include happens to be information on the biology of those non-human races here?

No. I don't collect data on other people. It would violate their privacy.

I'm afraid you will have to ask them youself. A lot of them are bound to be cautious to share such information, naturally.

That's not what I was asking for. I meant more like general medical texts on other species. Which of course I doubted were present.

And I am asking. The shyness is to be understood.
