[The video comes on and Noctis isn't looking at the camera. But he's standing and a loud thud is heard as it sounds as if something heavy just dropped. So the king sighs with a shake of the head.]
Damn it. Anyone have any idea how to secure stuff on the walls? This one thing I keep thinking is secured keeps falling down.
[Right after he says that something else is heard, presumably falling down too.]
Yup, could definitely use some advice here.

[He was still curious even if Reeve didn't tell him.]

[A sort of magic that was from his family line, and so very rare.]
I bind a bit of soul to him, giving him life. Back home it is drawn from the life of the planet. Here... Idon't know.

[And even if all he had to compare anything like this to was the Ring of the Lucii in a vague sense since that was about death and siphoning life force but still.]
He hasn't slowed down so it must be drawing it from you?
[Noct was guessing.]
no subject
[But yes, there seems to be some drawing from him, and that makes him tired.]
Such is our life, and our bond.

[He's totally impressed here.]
Have you always had that ability?

[Natural magic was growing more and more rare in his world thanks to ShinRa]

[Forgive him here Reeve he's just fascinated.]

You're lucky. The scarecrows we got back home sat on the scarecrows and seemed to have a grand old time hanging out.
no subject
Yes, that was always the issue. Crows are rather smart, and they would soon learn a normal scarecrow was not that bad, and a good perch. Mine could jerk into motion at unexpected junctures, by its own will.

[Noctis would love to see it, but he didn't think he missed something like that.]

[Especially when their farming groups seemed to know very well what they were doing without that.]

No, sacrificing a cat just isn't worth it. I like him.
no subject
Ah like ya too, Noctis!

Shoulda figured you were listening.

The way you put that almost sounds creepy. But I get what you mean.
no subject
Yes, I suppose it might seem that way.

[To Noct that was important.]

Glad here's here for you then.

As am I. He helped me through a lot, including loss of someone important to me."
