[Open] Worried Mama Lark
WHO: Lark, Any of her CR that experienced Calibrations
WHERE: Wherever her people can be found
WHAT: Mom's hovering in worry guys
WHEN: June 11th-18th
WARNINGS: There may be motherly behaviors and lectures
A month. More or less a month (definitely less in some cases), where the people she cared about had been out of touch. Again. And when Lark had come back, she'd started to hear horrid things of people having been trapped. It was horrid.
Which is why people were going to have to deal with this now. Without announcement even. There's Lark, showing up at the door. In one hand a light scarf. In the other, a covered container with wafting hints of savory scent.
And the look on her face? It says she's not going to walk away easily. That and the dog that has gone to lay down across the doorway, tail thumping excitedly.
"How are you doing?"

"How are you doing?"

no subject
“I am not made. I have made you some lunch, and a gift. I was so worried about you. What happened?”
Oh there is so much concern on her face. Her poor friend, so hurt. And she couldn’t protect him.
no subject
There was a lot to tell, so better to do it over good food at least. With Little Bear!
He looks to the scarf held out and points to it. 'Gift?'
no subject
She holds out the softly green colored scarf to him.
"I wove it for you."
no subject
'So soft! First the sweater now this. You are very talented, Miss Lark!'
He then moves in to give her a hug, with a little squeeze. A way for him to say thank you without actually using his words. Once he pulls back, he types once more. 'Where would you like to have our... picnic? Is that what you called it?'
no subject
"I'm very glad that you feel so. I was glad to do it. Now, as for food... Well, why don't we settle down in the shade outside? I wish to enjoy the look of nature."
no subject
'Shade then. Little Bear can come too? I miss seeing both of you and I have so much to tell!'
He started towards the far side of the hotel, where shade was being cast. It was warm out, but it was no different to Lerith than a summer's day in Tevinter. The south was the cold place, he'd take the north's warmth over it!
no subject
So she moved with him, and Little Bear happily frolicked behind them.
"So what was this thing that happened to you all?"
no subject
'I saw an injured halla, which is a creature from my world. A sleek and smaller horse with long horns that spiral out from its head. I followed it, knowing it needed help and it went down... into tunnels. A door shut behind me and I couldn't get out. Others were down there. Jon from the library, Echo, and others. But then we would all fall asleep and dream, but we could visit other people's dreams! The people down there with me!'
no subject
Because she doesn't want to do that without his permission.
no subject
He stops in a shady spot and starts setting out the items for food, and made sure to give the best boy some pets and affection as well. When everything is set, Lerith takes a seat to type again. 'In other people's dream rooms, you could touch things and see memories attached to them. And everyone had a dream room.'
His eyes do go distant for a long moment, thinking of what others had seen Lerith experience before escaping. Then he shakes it off and scratches Little Bear's head again.
no subject
Once the hug had passed they could resume into the shade, and there she was happy to settle down while Lerith appreciated the dog.
"Magic that walks dreams is not common where I am from."
no subject
'My dream looked like… the villa I was living in at home. Where I was a slave. And people visiting could touch things to… access memories. Many of them were not nice memories.'
He settles a little and crossed his legs. 'Where did you go during our absence? Did you…escape? Not sure how to phrase my question.'
no subject
"I was in Sh'Ka, gathering things for dyes and paints."
no subject
'Did you dye this fabric with what you found there? I have not been to Shka.'
This was nice. It was quiet with good food and a friend. Much better than some of the rooms he had been to in dreams and then those weird showers that smelled like... what had the others called it?
Italian dressing? Whatever the hell that was.
no subject
"Yes, I did. A fruit, the juice of which can be made very color fast. I'm not used to taking green from fruit though. Usually it's plant stems back home.
no subject
'I think Bruno would like the fruits to make paints. Maybe when I harvest the plants I'm growing from Thedas you could see if you can make colors from that as well?'
More paint colors would be nice to add to the lobby's lively collage that he had been helping out with. 'I think embrium has some red in it? Maybe.'
no subject
And Bruno would like it, yes. She would be glad if he did.
"I can try, but I wouldn't want to take things that remind you of home from you."
no subject
Jon's voice didn't sound nearly as awkward as Lerith felt as it spoke his words for him. He rubs the back of his head before partaking in some of the food and giving Little Bear good rubs.
'You don't have to worry. I can grow more from the seeds. I wouldn't offer if I didn't have more I could grow, Miss Lark.' He gives her a smile. 'Especially if we can make more paint to keep using in the hotel!'
no subject
Oh her Rosethorn, lovely and so far away from her.
"Do you know how to get seeds fromt he plants you do grow? That sounds important too. Though more painting would be lovely."
no subject
'I can harvest leaves from the plants and they'll grow still. I can get the seeds out of the crystal grace to plant more. More colors maybe!' Embrium might give a red or purple, elfroot would be green and he'd have to see what colors to make out of the crystal grace. He hadn't tried making paint after all.
no subject
"That sounds wonderful. I would like to see these plants of yours. They are little pieces of your world."
no subject
(Also he might slip a bit to Little Bear when he think Miss Lark isn't looking.)
'I'd like to show you. Maybe during the winter I can ask the Agrii nicely for other plants to grow. See if there are other colors for paint, or maybe plants that blossom fibers for more sweater making?'
Lerith loves the sweater she made for him, even if he can't wear it because of how hot it is right now. 'You've made me two items so far, so the least I can do is help get you plants for maybe tea or painting with!'
no subject
"I wouldn't mind more plant based fibers. Plant fibers behave differently. They are very agreeable. I miss cotton, honestly."
Though that wasn't likely to happen here. Or linen for that matter.
"Oh more tea plants would be a delight."
no subject
'I'll have to see what I can find in the greenhouse about the plants to make fibers from. Surely there has to be some? I can test the potential of tea while I work at the diner with Tommy. So in case there's a mess I can clean it easier.'
He fiddles with his food for a moment. 'Is the garment making what you do in your world? What is your world like, Miss Lark?'
no subject
"It's not healthy for a dog to eat people food, Lerith," she reminded him softly. Or perhaps told him. Did Lerith truly know?
"I do not have the agriculture point, I admit. Young Thomas leaves little signs for me to indicate what I should be harvesting when, so I just oblige him. And I weed things. I've learned which are the bad plants normally."
Ah, her world. No, she isn't that at all. She shakes her head.
"I'm a mage. And while I do make cloth and clothing, my main purpose is to serve as a Dedicate Initiate. I teach young mages, I see to it that sufficient bandages are made with spells woven in for healing and to keep away disease. I create cloths that we sell in local markets. And I serve as part of the governing council of mages."
