[Cal's image comes up in a flicker, frowning a little as he looks down at something, then looking towards the screen with a renewed smile.]

I think we're good, buddy.

H--lo? Anyone receiving this? If so, then we've finally -ot the comms up and running from -- other city. Signal's not as str--g, but it's a good start. --d if not I guess --- just talking to myself. Please confirm.

Not just me. Had a good team helping out. It would take so much longer if it were just one of us.

[He grins.]

Things've been okay. Quiet here, of course. Well, except for when the leaves fall. It's pretty crazy, they look like they petrify, so when they fall, they're stone. BeeDee had a few close-calls.

What? Oh, no. [He arches a brow, his laughter brief in its surprise.] If you're both planning to stay out there, let's hope it all stays close calls.

[Although he has to shake his head at the development.]

The planet seems to have it out for us. How does that even work?

I'm thinking we'll be heading back for a little while. Feeling good about getting this much done. I want some time to recharge before we start tackling anything else, you know?

[He shrugs.]

Not a clue. I guess to be fair, we kind of missed any turn of the seasons previously because we were off-world, so who knows what to expect around here?

How're things back in Temba?

Yeah. That's the best way to go about it.

[And there really is no argument there. The most he does in response is wrinkle his nose, but that's all.

While he still smiles, it slowly becomes subdued.]

Ah, things have...gotten quieter, actually. There were some moments, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

[Cal tilts his head just a little at that.]

Oh? Well...that's good, I guess? Although things have been pretty tame for some time now. Can't help but wonder when that might change.

[Echo pauses, then nods.]

I'm not gonna complain if we're granted some time between things, but it never hurts to be prepared.

Yeah. That's about the best we can do, really.

Yeah.

[He gives a nod.]
