[The scene is of water and Noctis is visible, working on perfecting his craft of fishing here in this strange new land. He casts the line with his right hand and it goes out pretty smoothly. And as he talks to the camera, the bobber is bobbing along pretty well at first and only the side of him is seen since he's not looking directly at it.]

I'm studying agriculture, but it seems I wasn't able to get a lot of information on the different fish here. I know they got pretty big back where I'm from so I was kinda hoping someone could tell me how big they get here if anyone knows.

[And then the bobber goes down quick and Noct pulls back with the rod. And the next thing that's heard is splash and the camera falls off its perch to reveal a pale hand coming up out of the water and onto the deck after a moment or two. Next heard is spluttering accompanied with slight swearing but there's no one on camera.]

What the hell was that?

Yeah, I know.

[He could make some kind of comment about how there's probably more information floating around about fish and other animals than there is about how they were going to get home, but... he pushed that bitterness aside.]

So'd you do a lot of fishing back home?

[He nodded.]

I did, used to make it a regular hobby back home.

[Death kind of put a damper on all of it.]

What about you? Did you go fishing back in your world?

Cool, cool.

[Boy, did he know all about death putting a damper on things.]

Fuck no. I don't even know the first thing about fishing. No one I know does it, either. I street raced.

[Among other things.]

[It seemed to be a trend of his, to find guys who didn't fish. Well his own guys back home didn't fish though Ignis had always cleaned his catches for him. But the next part got his attention.]

Street raced..cars?

Yup.

[His car was even impounded a few times, but that never stopped him from racing as soon as he got it back.]

I'm pretty damn good too, if I do say so myself. Sucks ass there aren't any cars to race here.

That sounds pretty awesome.

[He never had a chance to race the car his father got him for his coming of age present. The Glaives drove it way more than he did too. But that was before Insomnia was destroyed and he was left with his father's car. Though that too had disappeared in time.]

Did you race for money? Or just the glory of it?

It was awesome.

[And he missed it here. It left him to his other much worse habits.]

Mostly for just the thrill of it. But if people want to race for their cars or money, who am I to stop them?

I heard about guys who did that back home and they raced each other for gil. But I never got a chance to see them race.

[Here he was talking about the glaives.]

Sounds like a lot of fun though.

Gil?

[He had no idea what that was, but he was assuming it was something like money.]

It's a shit ton of fun. I'd say we could race here, but...

[He was pretty sure everyone was aware of what the 'but' was. There were no cars.]

[Noctis nodded]

That's the currency back home, but people here just say money.

[He nodded because racing did sound like fun although if he tried back home he'd have a few guys to answer to..maybe.]

Seems like there's plenty of open space for it even if there aren't any cars around.

Gotcha.

[So, wherever this guy was from, it probably didn't resemble America. Kavinsky didn't know of any places where the money was called Gil.]

Yeah. Streets aren't in the best condition but they'd probably do.

[He didn't know if he could dream a car in this place, if there was enough energy for it...but now he was itching to find out.]

If the car situation ever changes, I'll let you know.

They might need some work.

[And how to flatten them down or make them smoother was a thing he pondered before the last bit so he nodded.]

Ya, I'd honestly really appreciate that, so thanks.

Just a little.

[He didn't know what they could do to improve the roads, either. He might be able to dream something, but he wasn't sure the aliens would take kindly to some terraforming.]

No problem. Just try not to get eaten by fish before then.

[The hypothetical 'then', at least. He didn't know if the car situation would ever change.]

Ya.

[Noctis then nodded with a smile at the eaten comment. It was a good feeling to get cracked on a bit since the guys weren't here to do that.]

I'll do my best to not get eaten. You take care.
