Spin Spin Spin And So The Thread Forms
WHO: Lark, OTA (Closed starter also included)
WHERE: Temba: Glownie Pens, The Fountain, The Hotel 'Lobby'
WHAT: Lark Doing Her Thread Thing
WHEN: August
WARNINGS: Tony and Lark are going to be flirting
1. Glownie Grooming | Animal Nursery | OTA
Sometimes it was just nice to be near the source, so to speak. Today was one of those days. Lark had decided she needed a day off of her attempts at slow magical weaving (a process slowed by having one of her watchers out exploring) and instead carried herself and some tools out to see the glownies.
The beasts were, as was to be expected, shy at first of the woman who sat on a rolled out blanket on the grass. Maybe it was the connection of her magic, or her life as an Earth Temple dedicate, or just plain animal curiosity that brought parts of the herd to investigate as she hummed to herself and pulled wool from a bag to card it into proper form for later spinning. Or maybe she just smelled like glownie, what with the working of the wool. Either way one little beast finally decided it wanted attention and Lark laughed as she had to put the carding sticks away given the glownie head butting into her chest.
"Oh you sweet thing," she laughed, stroking its head gently. "Do you not get enough attention with so many keepers away?"
She hoped they weren't lonely. And that they didn't need special feeding. She had no clue where their things were stored anyway.
2. Free Meditation Time | Hotel Lobby | OTA
It was hot. That was something that could not be easily argued. Lark, as much as she preferred to spend time in her own space when meditating, her work space felt hot and enclosed. So she had moved herself down to the hotel lobby to seek a cooler space to settle herself down. This early afternoon she was seated right on the cool stone of the floor, a large circle of thread circling herself. Her eyes were closed, her hands folded in her lap, and his attention turned inward. Until she heard footsteps.
Lark opened an eye and saw the one approaching and nodded to them. And, given she wasn't alone, she wasn't the only one reacting. A large dog, nearly as large as a wolfhound and with curly ivory colored fur, scrambled to his feet and bound from the circle to sniff at the newcomer.
"Warm day, yes?" she asked, before patting the floor near here. "It's cooler if you sit on the stone. Little Bear."
The crisp snap of the dog's name had Bear look back over his shoulder toward her and after a moment he trotted to her side and laid down again.
3. Fantasy World Queens | Fountain Area | Closed to Moonshade
If there was one person that Lark was happy to spend time with if it was asked for, it was Moonshade. The woman felt more familiar to her than many others, and the woman had brought her silk fibers. Of course she was happy to make time.
And, after their agreed upon meditation Lark had been happy to take the woman's suggestion to retire to the cooler air near the fountain for their work. Lark sat herself down straddling the rim of the fountain so she might leave one foot in the cool water and the other on the ground. She watched as Moonshade settled in to prepare her own craft work, and also for her wolfhound sized dog to settle down after some splashing in the fountain before she pulled out her own silk so she could spin.
"Do tell me, dear Moonshade, if Little Bear starts to bother you or your companion."

"I very much understand what you mean. Much happened to me before I arrived."
no subject
"I guess we are kind of similar then."
no subject
"We are. And I would give a lot to be back home in the presence of those I love."
no subject
"I... there's one person I won't see even if I go home."
no subject
"Would they be proud of you, for the strength you show and the help you offer these Agrii?"
no subject
"I think he might, in the end. Our last meeting did not go well... but I would hope so."
no subject
"Then believe that he would. And be proud of the good you can do."
no subject
"I will believe that he would have."

IT's as simple as that in her books.

HOw many great conflicts had she seen? Far too many.
"He was brave, to fight to defend others. I hope you are proud of him as well>"

"He was. A very brave man. I am proud of him and sad that he is gone."
Think we might be able to wrap this soon?
Yeah I think so
After a moment, he moved back out of the hug just enough to be able to look at her. "It has been helpful to talk about it." Even if it didn't bring him back. "I think it might be good for me to take a walk and think about it. So I'll leave you to spending time with the glownies."
Re: Yeah I think so
Sounded like a good plan to her if he was up to it, especially since hte glownies seemed to like him.

"And I shall wait. Hold, here you go," she said, producing a pouch and handing it over. IT was rather large, and there were stray fibers in it that suggested she'd used it for this task before.
"Have fun."
[OOC: I think that might be a good end?]

And he headed off to get what he needed to collect wool from the glownies.
[ooc: yep, looks like a good spot]
