[ With a question like that, Echo practically summoned him so...have a new face. The kid looks around 14 years old, with bright green eyes, sun-kissed skin, and freckles. ]

Not many? Nowhere as many as I saw back home in Portorosso.

Okay. I guess we'll have to work with that.

[ If it helps any, this kid is used to living on his own without any supervision.
Actually, that might not sound too great when said out loud. ]

How? Are you going to try and make more kids?

What? No, I can't- [Excuse him as he pauses before continuing.] The situation's changed, so I thought it'd be best to keep tabs on who's here.

[And the overall number of minors arriving in the city is worrying.]

[ He's doing wonderfully, really. Not lonely or missing his friends from home or anything. ALL IS WELL. ]

You can't? Why? [ It's an honest question! Since, Echo said he would 'work with that'. Not like anybody ever gave Alberto the talk. He just knows that kids happen...somehow when adults are involved. ]

Ah, I see. [ It's sweet of Echo to worry And of course, Alberto doesn't quite understand why he does it. Concern is new. ]

Oh yeah, I'm great! This place is really big and I still need to see the whole city but exploring has been fun.

[ That sort of answer only spawns more questions, I'm afraid. The means??? Yeah, that tells the kid nothing. ]

So what do you huma...ah, I mean. What sort of things do you need to make little children? Do you need to eat a lot first? Is that the problem? Because I could get you fish or something.

[ He's seen ladies with big bellies in Portorosso and has heard the adults mention future children. So he figures the food plays some kind of part in that.

If it helps any, he's not completely lying to Echo. Alberto did find a place to stay. It's not even a proper house and the roof's integrity is questionable at best, but he's lived in worst places. ]

Will do! [ Maybe. ] But it's fine, I can take care of myself.

Ah...Eating's part of it, but I think that activity alone would be excessive.

[His knowledge may be limited, but he's very sure that's not how it works. He remembers Padme being pregnant and she pretty much declined food that one time.

Arching a brow, he nods. Kid's pretty confident and old enough to know some things, but still.]

[ Alberto is silent for a few seconds, just studying Echo, and then gives a shrug, It sounds like the other man isn't sure how kids happen either, so he's not going to press the issue. ]

Alright.

[ He's got experience being on his own while he's not happy about being stuck in the city, he's also not as worried as other children might be. He's also taken aback by all the adults' concern. It's unusual and while he appreciates it, Alberto knows he needs to be careful about now blowing up his cover. ]

I'm Alberto Scorfano, piacere. I'll...keep that in mind.[ Tilting his head, he takes sin Echo's clothes. They look like some sort of armor, like in the picture of Giulia's fairy tales books. He perks up once he realizes that. ] Are you a knight?

[Crisis averted While some of the worry is alleviated, Echo blinks at the next question that comes up.]

Knight? [He's familiar with the term, at least.] No, I'm an ARC Trooper.

[ FOR NOW. He might come back asking more questions in the future. This kid's curious, Echo, you're never getting rid of him. ]

You're wearing armor, no? [ Albert waves a hand towards the screen pointing to...all of Echo, really. ] Like the knights that fight dragons and save princesses.

[ The ARC Trooper explanation ears the clone a blink. You lost him there, man. ]

And that's....not a knight, I guess?

"But you just pointed to all of me" He looks down at himself for a moment, the device's angle now capturing the blue hand print on the right side of his outermost plate.]

Well. Yes, I am. But anyone can wear armor.

[ Heh.

Yes exactly. Oh, that's handprint Aberto didn't notice before. How curious. ]

Anyone? [ Judging by the smile the kid is now sporting that just gave him some wonderful ideas. Thanks, Echo. ]

I've never heard of the Republic Before. Is that in Italy? Who are you fighting against?

[Okay, he doesn't like that smile, but he moves on.]

It's far from there. The war against the Separatists is in an entirely different galaxy.

[ It's nothing, it's nothing. ]

Oh. [ Alberto doesn't know a whole lot about wars, thankfully, but enough to look concerned. ] Are we at war here too?

[At this, Echo's expression softens.]

We aren't. It's been peaceful, but that doesn't mean we can be careless.

That's a relief. [ It does make him feel more at ease. ] We need to be careful, yeah, but being here also means you don't always have tow ear that armor, right? It must be really hot to wear it all the time and hard to swim in.

It has its faults, but I've gotten used to wearing it and I take it off when I need to.

I see. You should add flames to the side, or maybe lighting bolts. It would make the armor stronger.

[ That is just science. ]

[on_repeat]

Flames?

[His nose slightly wrinkles at that and the thought of lightning bolts. He can't picture it going with what he has already.]

-Ah, I don't know, kid. Those suggestions might look good on another clone's armor, not mine.

Flames just make anything look more impressive.

He can tell Echo isn't convinced, though, so he won't insist.

You're more fond of the color blue, I take it?

[Said with a smirk. Yeah, he's not budging.]

You can say that. I carried it over from my battalion.

[silenziobruno]

[ The smirk doesn't go unnoticed so he gives a sheepish grin of his own and drops the subject. ]

It's a good color. Are others from your battalion here as well?

[The smile that follows briefly fades.]

Ah...no, they're not. I've been here on my own.

Ah...I miss my friends as well. [ It's been hard, and he might have cried a few times while on his own, so he totally understands how Echo must be feeling. ]

All the more reason to look after each other, right?
