[ Cobb's voice comes off camera because the image in the video is a speeder. He has yet to wash the Agrii symbol off it. The pink clashes with the yellow a little bit. It's parked outside the hangar, engine off so it's not spinning. Just hovering a few inches off the ground like speeder do. ]

Well. It seems the Agrii left me a gift. This beauty is mine from back home. Gonna clean that graffitti off. I built her myself. She's a modified 620C podracing engine I found in a junkyard in Mos Espa years ago and she's served me well. Don't know why she's here but I don't really care.

[ Finally, he turns the camera back to himself. Cobb's a little beat up. His face has healing bruises and cuts. Something happened but it hasn't dampened his joy any. ]

Those of you who wanted to build your own speeder, I'll let you take a look at mine. I can tell you how I built her. Not sure how technical I can get but I'll do my best.

Those of you who might need to get somewhere fast and far, riding with two is not comfortable but I've done it before. Might be possible to take folks around town. Don't think I can get her to the new town but maybe. Gotta be careful with fuel around here, you know. Might be worth trying.

If you hear me riding around later today, don't worry about it. Just stretching her legs.

Yeah. I think the vibrations from the train traveled through the ground and loosened up a few things.

[ It's his best guess as to why some stuff is falling in now instead of before. ]

Just gotta be more aware of the roof for now. Maybe find some way to get lights down there to really see the weak spots are.

[ She nods. Makes sense to her, but she's no expert. ]

Perhaps I can help. I can create light with my magick, and reinforce the weak spots in the earth.

I could use a little help making an opening bigger. Explosives will definitely cause more rocks to fall on me. And right now those of us small enough fit through are just haulin' ourselves through.

[ He shrugs. It works but it makes progress on figuring out the electronics real tricky. ]

If you can use your magic to make it bigger that'd be a help.

Yes, I can do that easily enough. Such a thing is simple compared to burying a man alive.

[ She says it completely straight-faced, almost off-handedly. ]

I don't know, seems pretty simple when the earth falls in.

[ He grins, almost amused by his cave in experience. ]

You'll need a light when we go down there.

I am glad you find yourself amusing.

[ She shakes her head a little in exasperation, but... you know, fondly. As for the rest, she pauses to give it some thought. Her magick casts light, even if it's green, but it would be best if she could focus all of her attention on moving the earth, making sure it's secure. ]

The light should not be a problem either. I know a small droid that may be able to help.

Someone's got to.

[ He raises an eyebrow. She's never had a droid before. ]

Sure, that'll work. I've got the route pretty well memorized now.

[ BD-1 isn't her droid, though she doesn't really think he's Cal's either? But she should be able to borrow him for a good cause, not that she's wont to explain herself to raised eyebrows. You gotta ask that stuff, otherwise she'll just stay mysterious. ]

Then it is a plan. You will tell me when it is time to go?

I will make sure to grab you. Promise I won't go into the dark alone.

[ Oh, she will. ]

And I'm glad you have been reunited with your speeder. You seem to have missed it greatly.

Haven't broken a promise to you yet, have I?

[ He keeps his promises and his word. It's important to him. ]

I did. She's one of the few things I really give a damn about back home.

[ She'll give him that, and easily too, her voice softening slightly. Even in their strange alternate life, he never did let her down. ]

I... have never ridden a speeder before. Is it exciting?

[heypartner]

That depends on how you drive it. Get it going really fast and it's very exciting.

[ There's a fondness in his voice, a heavy fondness, when he talks about driving. ]

I won't be pushing her here since there's no fuel. Gotta be careful about that.

I would like to try it someday. To see if it is more exciting that teleporting.

Once I've got a reliable source of fuel I'll teach you how to drive it.

[ She meant "someday" as kind of nebulous, whether that was here or back in their own galaxy or... wherever, really. So the prospect of learning how to drive it makes her perk up. ]

You will? Is it difficult?

Mine's not a standard speeder so it's a little trickier. But you're a smart girl. You'll manage.

Not a standard speeder? Because you built it yourself?

[heypartner]

Most speeders don't have pod racer engines as their power source.

[ Like she knows? What that is? ]

I suppose a pod racer engine is more powerful.

[heypartner]

Yeah, a bit more powerful.

[ He smiles and shakes his head. ]
