"Hopefully there at least one former Fleet member on each ship to advise against that... considering the ships will just repair themselves... if they're really the ships from Drift Fleet and not just some cheap replicas."

Keith could see the clock from where he was and he shrugged.

"That clock reminds me of Calibrations. I'm thinking that's how long until we're let out. Whether we all make it that long..." He shrugged.

"Presumably," Natasha mutters, a frown teasing her expression, flattening her lips. She doesn't want to make too many assumptions about how it will work here just because they know how it worked before.

"Or it could be a count down until we leave this planet and head for another one. Or something else entirely. But if the ships are here, it seems like a good bet we're going to be heading somewhere else."

"Mm..." She had a point, and Keith couldn't argue against it. He really should know better. He sighed and then nodded. "That sounds like a good assumption. I'd thought it might have just been the Agrii just being friendly and making us comfortable again, but not all of us here are from the Fleet. So, what would the point of such a big gift be?" He also frowned. "Using them to take us somewhere makes a lot more sense."

"It's still just a guess," Natasha admits. She doesn't know much at all. What information they get from the Agrii is muddled by their incomplete understanding, leaving everyone guessing and playing telephone. "But it's been on my mind a lot lately."

"I can understand why it would be."

Honestly, why else would the ships be there? And, since the Agrii seemed to want their help so badly, then sending them all over the place to keep doing what they'd been doing in the Fleet didn't seem all that far of a stretch. Keith finished his drink.

"Did you use any of the Data Points?" As in the ones that weren't the main one by the fountain...

"Not yet. Guess you could say I've been keeping my options open." That and some part of her has been resisting playing along. She didn't sign up for this. They've already been through it once. Must as she hesitates to admit it, she might be dragging her heels on it a bit. "Suppose if we're going to start throwing together crews, it might be worth seeing who's accessed what data, what we might be missing."

Keith nodded.

"Hopefully, we'll be able to adjust before we're launched on a mission unprepared."

He had a feeling not every crew was completely evenly balanced. But...

"We have a pilot and a doctor so far, at least, so that's something." Keith wasn't sure if Bones had used the Data Point at the hospital, but he was a doctor back home, so he at least had that level of knowledge.

"So at least at the moment, no one with comms and no one with agriculture." She taps her lip with her thumb thoughtfully. "It might not be the worst thing to have a few of us free either, though. We might run into new jobs down the line."

She glances up at him then, browse pinching slightly. "I assume you're our pilot."

Keith couldn't disagree. They didn't know what else might come up that would be useful. He nodded at her assumption, though.

"I was curious about the Data Point here, but... I'm honestly kind of glad, too. It's the augment I had back in the Fleet anyway, so we'll see just how similar these ships are once they're moving." He shrugged a little. "It's not the Huntress, but they were all pretty similar."

Natasha's had similar lines of thoughts. She had the communications augment before, and she knew from experience it could be useful and even necessarily depending what they might run into. It's largely stubbornness that keeps her from doing it.

That and the fact she doesn't want to assume too much about the Agrii based on Atroma.

"I knew some people on the Wonderduck. Could be worse, but not my first pick either."

"That was before the merger, right?" Right. "I didn't really know anyone on either ship... at least, not long term." He nodded over towards a certain statue. "Is that were the chicken came from? Or was that from the Starstruck?" He was curious about that.

"No. I knew more people on the Starstruck, and the chicken was not really their style." Not that sometimes people didn't end up saddled with things that weren't to their taste, but she couldn't imagine Peggy standing for that. "Weird to have them here like this. Just when you think you've seen the last of something."

"I can't imagine that it's really anyone's style... but it looks like it isn't going anywhere any time soon." He chuckled a little wryly, but then nodded.

"Yeah. It makes me wonder about their motives." He took a breath and finished the drink he'd taken from the fridge. "For now, it's just like back in the Fleet, I guess. We'll just... work together and figure this out." He straightened up from where he was leaning against the table.

Natasha huffs a short of bitter laugh of agreement. What other choices do they have? It's not like Natasha's going to stop trying and it's not like she's going to "You think this is what they meant by making friends?"

Keith looked at her curiously for a second, then lowered his gaze off to the side in thought before giving a slight shrug.

"Maybe." He met her gaze again. "I don't think they completely understand how that works, though. Then again, I don't think they fully understand a lot of how things work with people like us in general... but I'm only getting that impression from the badly butchered way they're writing. It's like a bad voice rec app."

"No, I think it's safe to say they don't understand a lot of things." Which is putting it mildly. "Makes this whole situation that much more surreal."

She's not sure if it's better or worse because of their absent hosts seem so disconnected from humanity.

Keith nodded a little.

"Point." Really, it was like the Agrii were learning everything about how people interacted in general as they went along.

He stared at his empty drink container for a moment and then moved to clean it out.

"I think surreal has just kind of become... real for me at this point."

"Well, you can say that again." She watches him, leaning back, her eye critical. It's not him she's suspicious of though. "At some point you just have to believe everything. That's the weirdest part."

He gave a dark chuckle.

"Yeah." The universe was huge, and the whole alternate realities thing was even weirder. But, at least it kind of made this sort of thing here a tiny bit easier to accept.

He placed the drink container off to the side once it was clean.

"We just have to hope for the best."

"Not much else we can do for it," Natasha agrees. Smiling, she offers a shrug. "Eventually we'll be out of here. One way or another. We'll just have to be ready when it happens."

Keith turned back to her, leaning on the counter near the sink, and then nodded.

"Yeah. Story of my life."

He snorted a little, more amused than before.

"Here's hoping for the best."
