[ When the video feed opens up, it's a face that hasn't been around for an entire month. He's unshaven, trying to keep the scowl off his face because it's not anybody's fault this shit always seems to happen to him, but here we are. Winter starts off just scratching at his beard to collect his thoughts. ]

Alright. First thing's first.. What the fuck is going on?

[ Thoughts scattered to the wind. All semblance of control of this situation gone. Good job, Barnes. A+. He huffs, looks off toward the room he's in for a moment, and regains focus. ]

Someone want to fill me in on the current situation? Can't say that I've got a passion for waking up in strange places with no memory of it happening.

[Natasha puts a smile on, though it's forced. Her eyes are shining.

James, you have no idea how glad she is to see him.]

[ He sees that smile, sees it for what it really is, and mentally tells himself to get his shit together. Natasha's presence, even if only on video, helps calm some of the underlying panic. At least she's still here though he can't get to her. ]

I couldn't help but notice the accommodations. Real hospitable.

[oh. hello there, yelling friend. Phalanx isn't in the room where all the noise is taking place, but they are just around the corner. enough so that once there's a lull in the yelling, their soft voice wanders its way into the room from where they are, tucked just out of sight.]

[ jumpingjesusonapogostick. He nearly jumps out of his skin at the sudden presence of a voice. His shoulders tense, and it takes everything in him not to whip his head around. Instead, he peeks over his shoulder in the direction of the voice, trying to be the face of calmness.

...Ah. He remembers this, though it felt like some sort of fever dream. There had been a fever, anyway. ]

[there's the sound of cloth and bare feet shuffling across metal before they peek around the corner a little. not actually enough to see out from under their hood, though. it's probably the thought that counts.]

[ He's resigned to the fact that he half-remembers this strange figure from the hospital. Looks like it's going to stick around.. Winter screws his eyes shut in the hopes that when he looks again, it'll be gone, but life isn't that good to him.

[Hey there, soldier. Poking his head out of one of the narrow hallways in this ship is a tall-lanky-looking guy who looks a little bit jetlagged. Turns out sixty-hour day cycles are difficult to adjust to.]

Hello. It would appear that we have been transported to the recently-discovered ships in an attempt to make friends with our assigned cohorts.

[He tilts his head to one side, still keeping a fair distance away but coming into full view so Bucky can see he has no visible weapons - and for that matter he doesn't move like someone who trains much or, indeed, has a whole lot of experience piloting a human body. (If not for Phalanx, who takes the cake, he would appear to be pretty new at this whole 'human' thing. But because there's a comparison, Delta is instead an example of what a few months stuck in a body can do to help your coordination and general motor skills. Which is to say, he at least doesn't trip over his own feet and wears clothing that fits.)]

[ Oh thank god, someone else is here. Admittedly, he hadn't really given this place much of a look around yet, but it feels familiar in a way. Winter gives the newcomer a once-over, quickly assessing that this guy wasn't a threat in any sense of the word. Hell, he even looked like a stiff breeze might knock him over at this point. ]

[Likewise, Winter reminds him a little of the Proles Army people he'd been around during his time on the base. Not the Freelancers - they were a more mixed bag - but someone who was a fighter first and anything else second. It has the paradoxical effect of relaxing him; he was developed for military use, after all.]

When we received the communicators, we were assigned to "cohorts" consisting of five to six people. I have gathered that these groupings are consistent with the individuals transported to the ships together. I have met Phalanx and Billy, leaving Winter, Connor, or Thrawn.

[ Cohorts is certainly an interesting phrase for what they are, but this place is weird enough that it kind of fits it. He stands and steps closer to Delta, holding out his hand. ]
