1. Talking About What Happened Closed to Poe | Evening of the 7th, Reeve's Office
Reeve hadn't really been big on the idea of sticking around in the Waiting Room when they had awoken. His memories of being stuck in Calibrations were not hte greatest, and he had decided he wasn't going to risk sticking around there. He had grabbed Mini up and headed right out, not daring to question, not waning to linger. There were memories and a life to process and he didn't much like it.

It wasn't until later that night that he reached out to Poe with a message. After quite a bit of thought he had known what the truth was. They had to talk. So he'd sent a message, asking for Poe to meet him in his space. They had to figure things out. He had to figure whether Poe might forgive him for what he'd apparently said and done there.


2. Welcome To Temba, Your Timing Sucks Closed to Rufus | Morning of the 8th, Reeve's Office
The meeting hadn't been a bad one, in Reeve's estimation. Poe was a wonderful companion and he quite liked his time with his boyfriend. A nice talk, a lazy morning afterward, and Reeve had been happy to send the other man off in the morning. He had happily watched Poe slip out after morning coffee together, sitting at Reeve's work table in the front room. Reeve hadn't even bothered to put on much more than his long coat that morning, hadn't bothered to make his bed yet, hadn't even begun to work on the final stages of Mini's upgraded form. Instead he'd sat smiling at the table, his hair ruffled, sipping at the final dregs of his coffee as the door closed, not even paying attention to Mini as the doll worked on sorting through papers on the table top, making sure nothing had been lost in the change of the last month.

So Reeve, most definitely, wasn't expecting someone to show up at his door.


3. Just A Little Drink Open To All | Evenings of the 8th through 12th, The Deep End

Well, that was a thing that had most definitely happened. Reeve didn't know what to do with himself with Rufus here. With Cloud nad VIncent he had known what to do, what his place was with his companions and friends. It was enough for Reeve to just, well, fall into a habit he hadn't had in a very long time. Though he supposed it was hardly a habit if he didn't sustain it. Reeve sighed and settled himself at a chair at the bar, sitting down and looking at the counter. So what was the etiquette here, how did one even go about getting alcohol?

"Um, hello?"

Maybe he didn't want to be as alone as he thought.

"If I get to do the same," Poe agreed, "And I get to veto any nicknames I don't like," he added slyly, not that he could picture Reeve using anything too cutesy.

"Do I need to clear it Mini before it's official?"

"I typically prefer darling or dearest," Reeve offered with a shrug. But then he nodded, very seriously.

"Mini is very protective of me. I fear I could not enter an arrangement without his approval. Though I can say he does approve of you."

They were names he maybe wouldn't accept from just anyone, but from Reeve they seemed appropriate.

"Tsk, you sure he doesn't just like me 'cause I bring the droid?" Poe teased, "Hey Mini, I gotta question for you Bud."

At least they seemed appropriate. Reeve had to chuckle at the question though.

"He feels a kinship with them, I think, given his brother had a more mechanical form and..."

Well, Reeve gestures to the metal frame in the corner that would be Mini's new body. As for Mini, who had started up a new game of tag with BB-8, he paused and looked up at Poe. And just crossed his arms over his little chest and tapped his little foot. The very picture of 'why are you wasting my time asking when I'm clearly having fun'.

Poe laughed at the attitude Mini was able to convey, holding up his palms in apology.

"You mind if I start dating your-...Reeve? Officially?"

Reeve was, of course, trying not to snicker at it at all. Mini, clearly very dignified. Meanwhile Mini tilted his head in a show of thinking before nodding.

IT was okayed.

"Seems you've met with approval."

"Well I guess we're all set then."

BB-8 gave an indignant whistle, as though to ask why he wasn't being consulted if Mini was, and Poe laugh.

"It's not up to you, Buddy."

"It's not up to Mini either," Reeve points out, smiling at BB-8. "Though unlike Mini, I believe you have means to make yourself physically known to be displeased if you were cross with me, do you not?"

Reeve offered the droid a soft smile before standing and offering his hand to Poe.

"Let me make you some coffee."

Poe let himself be helped up as BB-8 chirped a tone and sped off after Mini once more.

"I could go for a cup," he agreed, finally having stopped correcting 'Caf?' every time Reeve mentioned it.

Yes, the lack of correction of Reeve's favorite drink is helpful. Reeve moves to a seat near the kettle and turns it on, before sitting and pulling Poe down into his lap.

"I missed you."

Poe was easily pulled into place, and he hummed softly in amusement, "Did you not get enough of me in the city? Do we need to make up for lost time?"

"I don't know that it's possible to get enough of you, Poe," Reeve answers quite easily. "I find myself captivated by you."

[happybeeps]

"Oh, trust me, I know quite a few people who have gotten very sick of me," Poe assures, turning to press a kiss to the corner of Reeve's mouth. "Don't make the mistake of thinking you're immune."

"Sick because you're too sweet and upset their stomachs?" Reeve suggested.

Oh, he might well be immune. He'd like to test that idea.

"Definitely not," Poe laughed, "What in stars have I done to give you that impression?" he teased, "Can I get that in writing? There's a few people who would get a good laugh out of that one."

"I'm not laughing," Reeve countered, his hand coming up to stroke Poe's cheek. "I do adore you."

"I'm pretty fond of you too, you know," Poe said, reaching to catch that hand and press a kiss to Reeve's hand, "Even if I can't say it with as flowery language."

"I like the idea of that," Reeve smiles, enjoying that Poe kisses his hand. Oh but the man made him feel good.

"I read poetry when I was young, and in college. To sound more educated."

"Well it worked wonders. Do you remember any of it?" Poe asked, "It doesn't bother you, does it? That I can't romance you with pretty words and all that?"

"I do. Much of it is Wutaian haiku though," Reeve admitted. Which was in another language.

But Poe's concern earned the softest smile from Reeve and a kiss just below the other man's ear.

"If that was important to me, I would more commonly woo men or women who had that skill."

"This place seems dead set against letting me show off all my usual skills," Poe lamented, head tilting with an amused smile to welcome more kisses, "It must all be down to my looks, huh?"

Usual skills? Reeve chuckled.

"You did show me SOME of them," Reeve reminded Poe. "That night, leaving the party. It was a rush."

Poe laughed, biting his lip at the memory. "I wanna say stealing rides isn't one of my usual talents, but..." Well. Everyone was young once. "You really got a kick outta that, didn't you? Promise, once I get someone pieced together that'll stay in the air I'll take you out again."

"I meant the flying," Reeve answered. Not the stealing. He doesn't believe the stealing was the current specialty.

"It felt alive."

"Mmm, no where I feel more alive than in a cockpit. In the stars. Being grounded like this hasn't been easy. Dunno what I would have done without you," he added with a grateful smile.
