The City Public Library was an elegant old brick building on the edge of town. It was beautiful inside with large windows and plenty of soft places to sit and read. Right by the check out desk there was a tropical fish tank with a rainbow of fish.

Ikora actually quite liked this part of her identity quite a lot. All the pre-Golden Age technology was quaint and simple but she loved the feel of a book in her hands. She would miss this once they returned to Temba.

Which might be sooner than she thought. The intervention of the Agrii had finally given them a direction. None of them had a good idea for the source of this little world as the Agrii or the forces in control of the Agrii or many things. Now, they knew who to find.

Of course... how to find Billy was another question. She had one of the private study rooms in the library reserved for their little group and anyone else that might wander in with memories returned. Ezra was very helpful in spotting those.

Cayde was very exuberant when he spotted them which was not very welcome in a library.

"Here." Ikora put a few water bottles on the table. "Help yourselves. We have more in the back."

They would be talking for awhile so she imagined water would be needed.

Erza jumps to his feet out of his seat on one of tables and takes a step towards the carriage, before he stops.

"Luke and Leia are here, too? They're ok?" he asks, in a rush, instead.

Because yes, wondering had crossed his mind, more than once, and it had been hard to put that worry away.

Padme resists the instinct to take a step back. She can see the recognition in his face and he knows her children. Something... something feels familiar.

"You know us?" Realizing that might be a little rude, she adds, "Yes, they're fine."

"Uh. Yes. In that other life in Temba, we know each other. I was in the waiting room while they were born," he tries to explain. "Although that was actually at the Jedi Temple. Centuries before you or I were born."

He grimaces. "It's complicated. Sorry."

She narrows her eyes, tilting her head at him. "You were in the waiting room... centuries before either of us were born? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever." The word Jedi sticks out to her. It sounds so familiar, even though she feels like she's never heard it before in her life.

Ezra hesitates. "Do you want me to try to explain or should I just go with less is more?"

Those last few words being a nearly direct quote from his former master, during other times Ezra has verbally stumbled around blindly.

That gets a chuckle. He's being so kind, and she can't help but feel a sort of kinship with him.

"Please, I'd appreciate an explanation."

He nods, biting his lips.

"So you and I, who my brother Ben really is - which is my teacher, not my brother- and a few others...we're all from a particular region in space. The capital world of that region is Coruscant. But we're not all from the exact same time. You and Ben are from...weeks? Maybe months, apart. And that's around the time I was born. I know what probably all sounds impossible, but with me so far?"

He figures he'd stop and check.

She's quiet as he speaks, taking the time to really try to absorb what he's saying. It's... a lot. But she nods slowly, "I think so. Please, continue."

He nods, encouraged.

"I call all of us who know each other in that...other life, Tembarians. Because that's where we live. Temba, on the planet Agra-10. That's a planet that went kinda...haywire. It's ok for humans most of the time, but there are environmental things happening that the native sentients, the Agrii, are particularly vulnerable to. We're trying to help them figure out what went wrong a reverse it."

He decides to glide over the lack of actually asking for help, or that the Agrii themselves may not be in control who gets brought to Temba. That would just make things more confusing and isn't really relevant.

"They sent us on a...research and supply mission. To Coruscant. Except, again, however transit to Agra-10 actually works - and that I couldn't tell you - it clearly intersects with time weirdly. It was definitely Coruscant. You'd lived there for a while. Ben - well, Obi-wan, he's really Obi-wan Kenobi - grew up there. But it was, relative to our lifetimes, quite a while in the past. That's where Luke and Leia were born. In the Jedi Temple, on Coruscant."

That's... a lot to take in. She blinks, looking down at her children as he talks. They were born on another planet? So many unfamiliar words. Temba, Coruscant, Jedi, Kenobi... Kenobi... they all sound so familiar.

Rubbing a hand over her face, she sighs. "I feel like I should know all of this. Like it's something from a dream I had long ago."

Ezra nods. "I think it's all there in your mind, somewhere, just...hidden."

He suspects a really well-trained Jedi could gently help someone uncover those memories, but he neither has that training nor is his connection to the Force strong and steady enough to seriously consider suggesting it. All he can do is verbally prod and hope.

"It's such a surreal feeling. Having memories locked up in my own mind... It's incredibly concerning that someone was able to do this."

She looks down at her children, wondering if they've been effected, too. It's impossible to tell, of course, but she can't help but be curious.
