Superhero Antics
WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The City
WHAT: Some prompts for superhero shenanigans. These are three general prompts you can customize to suit your superhero or supervillain needs.
WHEN: May
WARNINGS: Fighting. Violence. Blood. Injury. Bad language.
[ 1 ] A Bank Robbery
The sun was just setting over the horizon. There weren't many people in the bank. Everything was quiet, peaceful, and almost lazy. No one even looked up when an AC repair van pulled into the parking lot of the First National Loan Savings & Bank.
They did look up when six armed men burst through the door. They started shouting. One raised his assault rifle and fired a few shots breaking a florescent light. People screamed and quickly cowered under the nearest table or simply dropped to the floor and covered their heads.
One man rushed the bank teller and hopped onto the smooth wooden counter. His demands were simple. All the money in every register and no dye packs. If he saw anything suspicious they would all start shooting.

[ 2 ] Supervillain Showdown
In an unassuming little brick building just off of downtown a woman answered the phone. "Thank you for calling Total Nation Insurance, my name is Hazel. Before I can assist you, can I please have your policy number?"
Her fingers flew across the keyboard as the person on the other end of the call rattled off numbers. The computer pinged merrily when it found the right policy. "Ah, Mr. West, what can I help you with today?"
"An auto insurance claim? A robot cat took your side mirror clean off?... And then a giant robot lion picked the whole car up and threw it at a spaceship? Yes, sir I can help you with that claim."
More typing and then Hazel frowned at the screen. "Mr. West, I see you live on 57th street. That wouldn't happen to be around 57th and 11th, would it? Uh-huh. And when did this happen?"
Hazel leaned back in her chair and looked out the window. Judging by the smoke clouds in the distance...
"Right now? Yup. Okay. I'm going to put you on a brief hold while I get this in order..." Hazel pressed the button on her headset and yanked it off. "Janice, take my call I need to move my car! This is the second time this week the heroes and villains have thrown down. I swear as soon as a transfer opens in the Phoenix office, I'm moving!"

[ 3 ] They Came from Outer Space
The first sign something was coming was a brief disruption to cellphone signals and GPS but service was restored quickly and no one really thought of it.
Not until the first ship appeared out of hyperspace. A few people went 'huh' before the Armed Forces tried to rally. They did not fair well. The first landing ship touched down hours later and the aliens appeared.
They were strange looking. Their space suits were green with a silver collar for the large helmet that showed the massive size of their brains and gaunt faces. One at the head of the group wore a red cape and it began issuing orders.
"Ack, ack, ack!" It called out, gesturing left and right. Groups of aliens broke away with blasters in hand, ready to wreak havoc on the city. Their cries echoed down the streets over the screams and sirens.
"Ack, ack, ack! Ack! Ack!"

Ack! Ack!"
"Ack, ack, ack!"

At least this hero is being nice to him. More than he can say about the guy with the big cat thing. He nods, "Yeah, okay. Fine." Lead on, hero. His plans have been screwed, so he might as well follow her.
no subject
"Ophiuchus." Her cat familiar materialized from the shadows around her feet and looked at the man with glowing red eyes. "Scout ahead and see if you can find a safe place to shelter."
The cat meowed and then trotted off, leaving little wispy smoke paw prints behind for a split second. "He'll report anything he finds. We should keep moving. Do you know how to defend yourself at all?"
no subject
He shakes his head. "Uhhh no. Not really. That's not really my thing."
no subject
Ikora motioned for him to follow along the same path her familiar had gone. Ophiuchus would send a telepathic message if there was danger up ahead but right now, it was safe to move on.
She wanted to get him to a police station which usually had shelters for civilians. There would certainly be trouble along the way. Ikora drew some symbols in the air in front of her and for a moment a halo of fire appeared around her head. Now, her powers were more suited to protecting others than attacking.
no subject
Technically speaking he does have powers that could help... but they're disgusting and he wants nothing to do with them, so he's going to keep silent about them. "Do you think there are more of those things?"
no subject
And only when the mothership had been taken down would the invasion be stopped, she imagined. Luckily, other heroes in the city were rallying together to intervene. She felt safe in leaving the fight for a moment to protect this man.
"And they seem to have advanced weaponry though I can't understand a single thing they've yelled at me." Before she turned them into dust.
no subject
Making a face, he looked over at her, "I think it's safe to assume it wasn't 'we come in peace.'"
no subject
Suddenly the shadows at Eddie's feet warped and Ophiuchus appeared. "We're still clear up ahead but there is a patrol coming towards us. You should prepare."
"How many?" She asked her familiar as he wound between Eddie's feet for a moment before bounding over to Ikora. He jumped up onto her shoulder.
"Only five. Not too much of a challenge."
no subject
Of course she can understand that thing. "Only five? Is that all?" He just saw her vaporize a bunch of them. She can take them... right?"
no subject
"Okay..." Not that the shadowy familiar could actually stop Eddie if he decided to do something.
She held out her hand which then lit on fire and from the fire grew a sword that was also on fire. The perfect thing to handle aliens with ray guns.
no subject
Whoa. Flaming sword? "Uuuuhhh isn't that kinda bringing a knife to a gun fight? A big... flaming... knife?"
no subject
Ikora ran a few steps, leapt into the air and wings of fire burst from her back. She raised the sword over her head, the aliens spotted her and shouted then Ikora brought the sword down.
There was a woosh and a burst of heat as a blade of flame cut through the aliens. She swung the sword sideways and another gout of flame shot out, consuming more aliens that got in the way. Two more strikes and the alien patrol was nothing more than ash.
Ikora touched down and dismissed the sword. "It's safe."
no subject
He's still staring in astonishment when she returns. "I... wow..." He shakes his head, laughing awkwardly. "I'm sorry, uh. It's just... yeah, this is a lot."
no subject
Ikora knew it was a lot to see magic in person and up close. The Dawnblade was one of her more impressive spells too.
"You could pet Ophiuchus if you think that would help."
no subject
Finally, he shakes his head. "No... I'm okay. Let's, uh, let's go." He glances down at the cat thing. "Isn't he made of shadow or something?"
