Senator +2
WHO: Padme Naberrie Amidala and YOU
WHERE: All over the place
WHAT: March catch-all
WHEN: ... March
WARNINGS: Pregnancy. Birth in later prompts.
The Vanquish
She'd certainly been awake a moment ago. And she'd certainly been on a different ship. With some difficulty, she manages to sit up and swing her feet over the edge of the bunk. One hand presses against her belly as she looks around. This is very concerning.
Getting to her feet, she steps out into the corridor of the strange ship. Decision made. There's no point in sitting around and waiting. She sets out to search the ship for an owner... or answers.
To market, to market.
They're only there for another week or so, then they'll be back where the others had come from. Needless to say, she's going to need more clothes than what she was wearing. She can be found flitting between the various markets in the nearby vicinity, stocking up on clothing, accessories, toiletries, and anything else she might need. Also luggage. She'll definitely need some luggage to pack it all in.
If she sees someone who looks like they don't quite fit in (either by their clothes or the way they're looking at everything) she'll approach them with a smile. "Hello. If I might be so bold: are you from Agra 10?"
About the City (Near the end of the month) CW for beginning labor
Once Padme had learned about the unlimited credit they'd been given, she knew she had to put it to good use. Once she'd bought all of the things she would need, she bough out several markets worth of clothes, food, and other useful items. Hiring some people and droids to help, she had them all boxed up and sent to lower-income areas of the city. She'd lived there long enough to know where it would do the best good. Things had changed in 900 years, but not that much.
Holding her belly, she gestures to a droid. "No, no. That box goes over there with the crates of food going to CoCo Town." The droid beeps and toddles off.
As it leaves, Padme frowns, swaying a little. A protocol droid approaches her, "Are you quite alright? Perhaps you should sit."
Padme nods, "Yes. Yes I think that's a good idea."
IT'S TIME! (Near end of the month) (Closed to Obi-Wan. Anyone else can sit in the waiting room.) CW: Birth (non graphic)
Padme cries out in pain, reaching out, searching for Obi-Wan's hand. "Obi-Wan... please don't leave me. I can't...." She cries out again. "I can't do this alone!"
A Jedi healer smiled kindly at Padme. "You're doing fine. You all are."
Wildcard!

"Thank you." She pressed one hand to her lower back, gently rubbing it as she sipped the water. "I've been so tired the past few days. I think I just needed to sit down for a moment."
no subject
“Might need more than a moment,” he said with a little smirk. “I know a pregnant woman can do a lot but maybe give orders from that seat of yours for the rest of the afternoon.”
All the women Cobb had grown up with were tough as the twin suns. He wasn’t going to suggest she stop the work. “Or you just flag me down. I’ve got experience with givin’ folks orders and makin’ sure work gets done. I’d be happy to be your deputy for all this.”
no subject
She paused, thinking for a moment. "I'm sorry. I don't know that I caught your name."
no subject
He offered her a hand. "Cobb Vanth. Part of the crew of the First Breath. I've seen you around the hangar. Where I heard about this plan of yours."
And invited himself a long. He figured she'd put those pieces together herself.
no subject
Taking another sip of water, she tilted her head at him, "How long have you been on Agra 10?"
no subject
"Not long." Cobb wasn't sure of the exact time. He had been trying hard not to count the days. That would probably make him insane if he did that. "Just a few weeks or so."
He was... more comfortable with the place now. Even though they were on Coruscant.
no subject
She nods, thinking. "Then it would seem you haven't been here much longer than I. What do you think of all of this?"
no subject
Then he took a moment to glance around again. She didn't mean Coruscant, clearly. Cobb still wasn't sure what to make of it, honestly. The Agrii needed their help and he was big on helping but... taking them?
"Well, can't say I trust the situation much." Alien overseers didn't sit well with him. "But seeing as we don't have much of a choice I'm making the best of it that I can."
no subject
She nodded, thinking. "That sounds like a fair assessment. I, myself, only know what I've been shown and what others have told me. But I'm certain I've been brought here for a reason. I just have to find out what that reason is."
no subject
"To help. To learn. To save these powerful beings who, seems to me, should be able to save themselves." Alright, so a little bitterness crept in. There were good things about this trip and all these people brought together but he still didn't like being grabbed.
"When you due?" He asked with a nod towards her big belly.
no subject
She smiled gently, tilting her head. "Should be and can are often two different things. I've been brought in as an outsider to help on many such occasions. Sometimes those are too close to a situation are unable to see the bigger picture or find the right angle that will help unlock the solution to their problem."
His question gets a smile. One hand rubs over her belly. "Any time."
no subject
"Well, they keep bringing in more eyes so eventually one set of 'em will figure it out." Someone will see something the rest of them missed, Cobb assumed. So far all he'd seen is power and a ruined city.
He didn't think that was a good thing for Padme. All this work and she should be resting but he knew better than to tell a woman that. "Here's hopin' you have the kid here and not back on Agra-10. We definitely don't have the same facilities."
no subject
She nodded, "I hope so. I hope I can do something to assist them. And I'm sure I'll be fine no matter when these two decide it's time."
no subject
He looked around. It seemed like folks were handling this by themselves very well though. She had organized this... really well. He had to hand it to her. The woman knew her business.
"And anything else you might want help with."
no subject
Said the woman who was spending her last moments of pregnancy organizing massive shipments of supplies to people she didn't know...
no subject
Cobb knew he wasn't always kind but after living years full of violence and cruelty he tried not to be a monster. Most of the time he succeeded. He didn't want this kind hearted woman to think badly of him either.
"You keep that canteen and stay sitting. I'm gonna get back to work for you." Because he didn't mind working for someone caring like this.
no subject
She definitely appreciated the canteen. Was it getting warmer out here?
no subject
"How you feelin', Padme?" He asked as he gently laid the back of his hand against her forehead. "Lookin' a little warm. Any headache? Dizziness? Not seeing pink elopies wanderin' by, are you?"
All signs of heatstroke. He'd start with the familiar and work out from there.
no subject
She resisted the urge to push him away. He was right to be concerned. The hand not holding his canteen was pressed against her belly as she shook her head. "No. None of that. Well... I'm a little lightheaded."
no subject
"Here." He held it against her forehead before taking her hand and guiding it to hold it herself. It was a lot of touching someone without their permission but he was a little worried she was going to faint on him. Gotta work fast in a medical emergency.
He stood, put his fingers in his mouth and whistled for a near by droid. "Hey, can you get me a traspo? Speeder or somethin'? Got a feelin' we might need it."
no subject
She held the cloth to her forehead, closing her eyes. Suddenly, a wave of pain hit her and she practically doubled over with a cry, her free arm wrapping around her stomach.
no subject
"You weren't kidding about being real close," he said dryly. There wasn't anything he could do for that sort of pain. Cobb got up and grabbed the nearest person.
"I need transport now." And his tone implied some bad consequences if that person didn't help him. Luckily, they were very willing and rushed to get some help.
"Hey, you want me to call someone from the crew? A friend?" he asked, but Cobb would stay with her if she didn't have anyone.
no subject
The first wave of pain subsided, leaving her breathless. "Yes... I think you're right." She wiped the damp cloth across the back of her neck. "Obi-Wan... please..."
no subject
Cobb pulled up the communicator and called the man in question. He spoke quickly, explaining he was with Padme, she was probably in labor, and wanted Obi-Wan there. He was going get her to the nearest medical center. When he knew where that was, he'd tell the Jedi.
"He's on his way. Said to take you to the Jedi temple. You okay with that?" Because it seemed odd to him that the Jedi would want a woman in labor around them.
no subject
Looking up at him, she nods. "Their father is... was a Jedi." It hurts to correct herself in that way, but she has to remember that Anakin is gone.
(no subject)
Good to wrap this one up about here?
