Vanquish: Coruscant
WHO: Vanquish Crew [ Teddy Altman, Jonathan Sims, Lauri-Ell, Ripley 8, Ezra Bridger ] - Open after hopefully not crashing into one of the other ships
WHERE: Somewhere between Agra 10 and Coruscant, then Coruscant
WHAT: Oh no. It's SPACE again!
WHEN: Coruscant Field Trip Event start
WARNINGS: One frantic Archivist, TBA
Jon's face hurts when he wakes up. Funny, he doesn't remember going to sleep. Not that he sleeps often, but he doesn't even remember lying down. And yet here he is, pushing himself up from a comparably comfortable surface only to look around squinting for a moment before realization hits.
And suddenly he is wide away and almost scrambling out of his assigned bed and out of the room he easily recognizes as the Vanquish's crew quarters and further onward until he reaches the cockpit. Which is, of course, empty. It shouldn't be empty. This ship used to have a pilot. Though thinking about it, Jon will have to admit that he hasn't seen the man in a while. He hasn't seen Steve in quite some time as well...
The thought lingers with the Archivist for a moment longer, but his lament is cut short by the sound of his phone and he checks the message, then looks up at the portal and winces, hand clenching around his communication device before Jon starts to frantically look around the cockpit until he finds what appears to be the button to activate the ship's intercom. The transmission initially struggles through some static, but after a moment settles once Jon calms himself enough to bark into the speaker.
"Fine. FINE! I mean... shit. If anyone on board of this ship can hear me, I need someone who can fly this dreadful thing up here in the cockpit - Quickly!"

Then he peers at his very tall and blue shipmate, keeping that curious expression. "Are you...military of some kind?"
no subject
Her arms crossed over her chest, Lauri-Ell tilting her head as she considers this dilemma. How does she protect all of these unwise people?
"Tell me, Jon, what datapoint do you possess?"
no subject
The question Lauri-Ell directs at him, has Jon look back at her quizzically. "Me? At the moment it's communications." And so far that one has worked out for him. "Why?"
no subject
Jon, though, had exactly what Lauri-Ell wished to hear.
"Can you tell if our communicators will work here when we are not off of our ships? Can we track each other? Kree used such signals for homing beacons."
no subject
"But I do believe that we are indeed able to communicate with one another."
no subject
"I do agree that it could be trouble in the long run. I don't suppose someone can hit an emergency beacon? Can this be created?"
Her jobs, or so she has told herself, is to worry over the others. This seemed more true since the hangar incident. People can be... very reckless here.

So that's something he is fine with.
no subject
"That would be good, I think. Thank you if you're willing to do it. I would like to be able to get to people to help them if it's possible."
no subject
He gestures towards the back part of the ship before turning said direction to leave the cockpit and find himself a seat to fiddle with his phone. "I'll let you know when I'm done."
no subject
“I believe I shall prepare myself. I hope no one on the planet takes offense to me carrying the Universal Weapon.”
But in a strange place, she would feel more comfortable if she had it in hand. Especially given she had charges to protect.
“I ask your forgiveness at my departure.”
